Regulations like this are so annoying. I’d say bring a picture to the nearest fire department with a donuts/bagels/cookies suitable for 5-10 firemen from a bakery (even a grocery store bakery)& get the martial or similar high ranking individual to write on it that the window is not unsafely blocked or something with a signature. The food is important for the firemen to enjoy because it gives you the chance to explain & demonstrate the stupid to someone who will hopefully be willing to guide you to someone important enough to sign off on the picture being an example of ok decoration. Live singing automatically gains a couple points for difficulty, and they really pulled it off overall. I’ll always give it props for being the In stock check out and it’s gone shirt What’s more,I will buy this test run. Milk stepping over adore is top tier drag and Dela was perfection. I love Courtney with all my heart and she sounded fabulous in the rusical. But Adore bodied that role so well. Can we talk about her vocals? This is the one for me! So many incredibly funny, quotable moments between the performance itself and the talking heads throughout the rehearsal process. Darienne’s impressions of Gia singing, “he’s a man with one eye!!”, Milk dressed as Grisabella from Cats and singing a RENT parody, ending the whole thing with “baaaackROOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLSSSSSSS”, Courtney and Adore just getting off the bus and being miracles in front of yooouuuu-oooo Give the theater queens a real chance to shine. Give the girls who can’t sing a chance to lipsync for their life.
I feel like they missed an opportunity this season by not having them sing, even if it wasn’t live. There’s enough queens this season that can sing that it would have been good. Agreed. It kinda defeats the point when they’re making a stage musical but the vocals are prerecorded and it’s not even the queens that recorded it. Hooonestly, these rusicals hardly qualify as musicals; they’re just extra long lip sync performances. I scrolled my phone through the entire Sound of Rusic performance cause it’s just not interesting watching these queens lip sync to these unknown ghost singers sing unfunny lyrics.

Act I is perfection though and the live singing throughout is amazing Please don’t come for me but I think people have a lot of nostalgia glasses around this one. It was good, and it has its merits for being the first, but it’s not the best Rusical that they’ve done, not even Top 3 IMO. I don’t disagree about the nostalgia glasses. Mine are on so tightly that to this day I’ll still sometimes be like “I just got on the buuus I don’t drink or eat or cuuuurse” So funny that they based two whole characters (good and bad penny) around Blair, and a few years before she even joined the show I didn’t start watching RPDR until 2022 or so and now I’m an addict, so not much nostalgia there. But this must be one of my favourites. The songs are very classic musical, catchy and silly, and the fact that it was live adds a lot of ‘personality’ in my opinion. To me the best of the best. Not a single bad performance + the music is on point. I mean even more « discreet » performances such as Crystal’s are either funny or cool. And to think that three top tier performances of all time are part of this rusical is crazy (Jaida, Jan, Gigi). This is legit the only part of this Rusical that I remember, aside from Gigi doing that chug step choreo at one point lol The best. No one did bad, and it could have been easily a non-elimination Top 2 lipsync episode there was a LOT of amazing performances in this one.

It added another dimension of singing, but allowed them to do more difficult choreo than live singing would allow which is also great. I always favour musicals less when they have clearly defined “winning” roles. I think this is an example of that, unfortunately. This is my thoughts too. But honestly if we hadn’t lost Tati and Coco it would be less clear because they also had amazing roles that could’ve won. My issue is Diana was such a clear losing role, you’d have to bust your ass to not land in the bottom and no way it places higher than Safe.
Also Alaska did as poorly as Katya here, her look was bad padding was lumpy and she didn’t know a lot of her words. Moulin ru- love the concept and how drag race has become so self referential that there can be a whole jukebox musical with rupaul songs in a show where there’s musicals usually made with rupaul songs. I’m biased because that’s the first season I watched, but for me, it took a while for the show to have another rusical as great as this one.

A lot of the queens struggled with the choreo (specially Cucu’s Team) This one I definitely have nostalgia glasses on for being season eight was the first season I watched, but I sing that small “money” section to myself CONSTANTLY lmao Also the Bad Girls group seriously killed that challenge. So many great moments, and it was the episode where we started to get to know Chi Chi better. Rats will live down as the best by far – a stellar piece of writing by production and equally stellar performance from the UK girls. I love this for two reasons – one is the obvious part (timely, fun, lovely) and the second is that the music/plot is so well written while being true to the original musical. You can pinpoint what song they were parodying without copying it and that is not easy shit. It’s the shots of the judges just being swept away — especially Michelle beaming with pride during Anetra’s solo — for me.

Gigi), but the songs weren’t that good (imo) so the show dragged a little for me. This is the best of the non-singing rusicals for me. Truly everyone did amazingly and the bottom two was purely storyline. In terms of straight musical composition this one is probably the best imo. So many different styles, all done so well. Clever and fun lyrics too. THIS is the best one no one did a bad job and everyone had an equal opportunity to shine. Best episode of all stars 8 hands down. This is my personal favorite. AS8 was rough, but this and the Little Poundcake episode back-to-back were incredible Unpopular take: Clowns on CDR is my favorite ever. Live singing, Eve 6000, Aqua Blaq and Pythia made it a SLAY. I’m not sure why, but I have a soft spot for this one. Ginger, Kennedy, Jasmine, MKD, and Trixie all slayed this so hard. Yea honestly I would’ve given Kasha the win here, and if it wasn’t Kasha it was probably Jas. Ginger did well and deserved High but her winning here did not feel right.

Work it, bitch. gagged me how much i actually enjoyed this one. it feels like someone actually said wait what if we …. put effort…. into this being entertaining?? the songs, the sets, the costumes! i mean it actually had real songs, sets, and costumes!! it’s recent but it takes the title for me. now they just need to put half this effort into acting challenges Leland has been killing it with the rusicals. Moulin Ru, Wigloose and now The Sound of Rusic have all been enjoyable and actually good. As far as entertainment, LOVED it. I’m happy they let Plasma destroy the stage. But for a competition the roles are so uneven and unfair.

Not better than Wigloose or Madonna for me since the In stock check out and it’s gone shirt What’s more,I will buy this roles are obviously not equal, but extremely good I enjoyed the musical as a standalone piece but did not enjoy how it clearly favoured the three leading roles (all three had their own song number and all ended up in the top). Hopefully this isn’t recency bias, but this was a top-tier Rusical. There were genuinely funny moments, great songs, and it was a solid parody of a classic. I also love watching Queens thrive, and it was a joy watching Plasma and Sapphira slay their roles. Both had fairly difficult roles, and they managed to make it look easy. It was really good, I love the music, the choreography, the girls pretty much all did a good job. I wish the roles were more balanced, some characters got only two lines while Plasma got to be in almost the whole thing (she ate tho). But I guess all the rusicals are set up to be rigga morris somehow

Is Pharmarusical good? Absolutely not. Do I love it? Abso-fucking-lutely. It is so very, very stupid and I live for it. I really liked this one, but calling it a Rusical always felt wrong to me. It has no story or narrative, it’s just a few random performances. I actually loved most of the Rusical, but the judging sours it and I’ll forever be sad that Kennedy did the worst of the week as Janet. If you asked me before that episode aired who I thought top 2 would be based on the roles each queen got I would’ve said Ben and Kennedy. And the judging was absolutely cracked, the notion that Chi Chi was in the bottom for basically transforming into Patti is insane Sick of them not using the girls vocals – at least record them if you want the product to be good but it sjld be live singing and i hate the new rusicals sorry! I like the ones where they have to sing live or at least record their own vocals. I don’t like the ones where everyone gets a solo number and they perform one at a time. I get that those are the most fair in a way, but I want interaction and plot. All stars 2 rusical (,was one of my favourites), now Season 16 rusical, the songs are still in my head since the episode, and Plasma and Saphira’s performance,i keep watching again and again

I feel like some of these (namely Glamazonian Airways, halftime show, and Divas) don’t or shouldn’t count as Rusicals. Top 5: shade, madonna, joan, sound of rusic, herstory of the world Terrible: trump, social media, pharmarusical For the record: I do NOT consider Glamazonian Airways and Pharmarusical to be Rusicals. To me, they are their own weird things. Just, general lip sync/basic choreo challenges. Honestly all of them are kind of hard to rank because they’re all so different. You could rank these into several groups. Lip sync mixes like Glamazonian Airways and Pharmarusical. Live singing challenges like Shade and Cher. Recorded challenges like Joan. Individual character performances like Halftime Show, Madonna, Divas, and also Cher and Joan. Minor Rusicals like Bitch Perfect, Trump, Kardashians, and Social Media. And Grand Rusicals like Wigloose, Sound of Rusic, also Shade, that weird Season 12 “JUST THE MIRROR! JUST THE MIRROR!” thing (which is also a recorded singing challenge), and Moulin Ru.
