14 year old girls appear physically mature now, but I personally am not falling for the In October We Wear Pink Witch Halloween Breast Cancer Awareness shirt also I will do this “I thought she was fully of age” once meeting her. I’m suspect on the whole thing. IAL I work on underage sex cases. I am so far not impressed with his defense. He is 32 not 18. A 32 year old should absolutely know they are sitting across from a child or someone they should not be intimate with. Unless the dating site is vetted it may not hold much weight in court that he asked her repeatedly. Because kids lie. While it may not have been forcible rape it was still stat rape every day of the week. I am truly curious where she falls on a tanner scale, how many times they spoke/met in person before sex. I’ve never seen her. He didn’t have pictures nor did I ask to see any. So I can’t say. He said she told him and while he was with her her phone was blowing up with messages on various dating apps. Detail I forgot to put in the post was her dad called him and told him her age and that she was doing this to many guys. Today I learned what the tanner scale was.

The Tanner scale is bullshit. Well, not the In October We Wear Pink Witch Halloween Breast Cancer Awareness shirt also I will do this scale itself, but the way some people took it to mean, “A person at this age will have these developmental characteristics 100% of the time, without fail, so we’re going to use this as an ironclad rule.” Federal authorities actually took a case to trial charging someone with making child porn with the scale as “proof” that the performer was underage based on her apparent maturation level. She had to go to court and provide documentation showing that she was of age. So he slept with a girl that he thought was sleeping with a lot of other men. Based on something that her father said to him. Red flags all over. This situation was sketchy and yucky from the beginning. I’m thinking the “Dad” was her trafficker. Laws on this vary heavily from state to state, so telling us the state your friend’s in would be more helpful. When I studied criminal law in Florida, ignorance was NOT a defense. My law professor said that a girl could literally show you a fake ID saying she was over 18, and it would STILL be statutory rape. Again, that’s Florida, so you have to check your own state.
