So. What they needed was a candidate people wouldn’t sleep on. Someone to match the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this disruptive energy from the other side, but who was, ya know, not dangerously incompetent and motivated entirely by self interest and misplaced egotism. Someone who would fight and not just point their thumb at the other side and go “this guy, right?” Yes, I mean Bernie. Which brings us to this cycle, and they’re doing it again. No one’s excited for Biden. I don’t think anyone is excited for Harris, either, and that’s important as the parry for “he’s too old” this time. At the very least the “keep that guy out of office” is a hell of a lot more motivating, but christ, are they even taking this seriously? Just, please, for the love of god. I need a progressive party that’ll tell the Republicans to go fuck themselves when they decide to stall a supreme court appointment for 11 months. Give me someone who will fight. You don’t have to go wrestle them in the mud, but ffs roll up your sleeves and do something when they turn the governance of this country into a farce. He is too old and it’s embarrassing watching the party I support lie through their teeth about how smart and sharp he is.
In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt: Unleash Your Inner Fighter
His age is a huge liability and he is very clearly quickly deteriorating mentally and he should have dropped out. Biden has changed a lot mentally/physically in the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this last 5 years. It sucks because I like him but he’s just too fucking old now. Don’t worry the GOP will complain this gets in the way of everyone’s god-given right to have sweet lead contaminated water Unironically there’s gonna be conservatives who take issue with this for whatever reason. Somehow managing to twist the president funding projects to get clean drinking water for the population a bad thing. Biden has been a big spender on infrastructure. Compared to recent past presidents. One of the big things he did that failed under Obama was got money to spend on high speed rail.
This is such a strange announcement, though, because the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this EPA already spends $50B per year, every year, on water infrastructure upgrades (it’s even mentioned in the article, though the article makes it sound like the $50B is one time). $15B of that alone annually is on lead service line replacement. Michael Regan, administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency, and Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Pittsburgh on Tuesday to promote the administration’s efforts to ensure a safer drinking water system and more reliable wastewater infrastructure. Projects underway in Pittsburgh – such as an effort to get rid of lead pipes – are among several across the country that are being funded through bipartisan 2021 legislation that designated $50 billion toward improving water infrastructure.

“President Biden and I believe that every person in our country should have a right to clean water no matter where they live or how much money they make,” Harris said in a news release from the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this EPA. “With this investment, we are continuing our urgent work to remove every lead pipe in the country and ensure that every American has access to safe and reliable drinking water.” The federal government won’t pick the projects funded by the investment announced Tuesday. Rather, it will funnel the money to states, territories and tribes through the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund programs. FACT SHEET: Biden-Harris Administration Announces New Action to Protect Communities from Lead Exposure | WhiteHouse.gov | 2023 Funding from the American Rescue Plan’s $350 billion State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund can be used by states and communities to replace lead service lines and remediate lead paint. To date, well over $20 billion nationwide has been invested in water infrastructure projects, including significant clean water investments.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides $15 billion in funding specifically dedicated for replacing lead service lines, along with an additional $11.7 billion in general-purpose funding through the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, which can also be used for lead pipe replacement. To advance President Biden’s Justice40 Initiative, the EPA has committed to deploying at least 49% of its State Revolving Funds to disadvantaged communities. In total during this administration, EPA’s Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund programs have provided over $796 million to help systems that serve disadvantaged communities begin removal of lead service lines across the country, protecting the health of over 9.8 million people.
The EPA announced $58 million in grant funding from President Biden’s Investing in America agenda to protect children from lead in drinking water at schools and childcare facilities across the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this country. Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, activities like these to remove lead from drinking water are now eligible to receive funding through the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act (WIIN). WIFIA and WIIN are also Justice40 covered programs. The EPA launched the Get the Lead Out (GLO) Initiative, which sets out a partnership with 200 underserved communities nationwide to provide the technical assistance they need to access funding from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and remove lead service lines from their communities. This initiative builds on EPA and the Department of Labor’s partnership with 40 underserved communities to support lead pipe replacement.
The EPA announced a $340 million financing commitment to the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this City of Philadelphia for lead pipe replacement through the WIFIA program. The initial loan of nearly $20 million will modernize critical drinking water infrastructure by replacing approximately 160 lead service lines and 15 miles of watermains throughout the city. The EPA announced a $336 million loan to the City of Chicago for lead pipe replacement through the WIFIA program. This financing will help Chicago, which has one of the highest concentrations of lead pipes in the nation, to replace up to 30,000 lead service lines while creating an estimated 2,700 jobs. To date, the EPA has awarded over $3.5 billion of this lead service line funding to replace hundreds of thousands of lead service lines in homes, buildings, and schools. The Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced $78 million in new awards to remediate lead pipes. These funds will help ensure that rural communities have the funds they need to access clean and safe drinking water.
*The Department of Housing & Urban Development executed over $307 million in grants to make homes of low-income families safe from lead-based paint hazards, further advancing President Biden’s Justice40 Initiative. The Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes executed $140 million since August 2023 in grants to state and local governments to control these hazards in privately owned homes (mainly rental units) of low-income families, where the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this homes do not receive HUD housing assistance. In addition, the Office of Public and Indian Housing executed over $42 million in grants to public housing agencies to control these hazards in public housing units where low-income families reside. The CDC announced a Lead Detect Prize on challenge.gov with a $1 million prize pool to accelerate the development of next-generation point-of-care blood lead testing technology. NASA and the FDA support the challenge, and it spotlights the urgent need to identify and foster new or existing breakthrough solutions and products for optimal lead testing in children.
I like how you mentioned the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this funding for Philly to get rid of lead pipes. They are still finding wooden pipes in service in the city. It’s crazy If managed properly, this is huge for blue collar workers. More good paying jobs leads to more spending leads to more revenue to invest into communities. I must stress the “if managed properly” part because my fear is mismanagement and corruption. The federal government won’t pick the projects funded by the investment announced Tuesday. Rather, it will funnel the money to states, territories and tribes through the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund programs. Fingers crossed here, my hopes are high for my home state of California, but, based on historical behavior, I don’t foresee many benefits coming to residents of red states.
Mississippi has a water crisis in Jackson. Let’s see if it goes to that or a Sports Complex at one of the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this universities. As a Kansan, we’re already rejecting federal money that would keep rural hospitals in our state open. Yes, free money that would literally save lives and also keep people employed out in rural areas. No thanks, says the KS GOP. I fully expect that we’ll refuse this clean water money too, perhaps they’ll resurface that old saw about how fluorinating the water makes you gay or something. I can’t wait for FOX News to connect Biden trying to fix drinking water infrastructure, with whichever side of the Israel v. Palestine conflict the GOP isn’t in. You mean politicians pass laws that are favorable to people and might get people to vote for them later? You don’t say!? Then they will turn right around and say we shouldn’t be helping Ukraine because we need to spend the money here instead. Why would they just say “administration” instead of Biden administration” makes it confusing and is open to assumption More of this, please. I am begging for our money to be spent here, now. We need to see the benefits our of labors. Otherwise, what’s the point?
“President Biden and I believe that every person in our country should have a right to clean water no matter where they live or how much money they make,” I’m sure the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this “spend that money on Americans” crowd will be here in .25 seconds to tell us how this is communism and bad for America. Won’t god simply make water clean again. Just another accomplishment the people won’t hear about or care because it’s not exciting enough to report. /c stands for cynical Ugh Biden is the worst president ever!!!! Totally incompetent! Seriously how are some people still stuck on this narrative. He’s old but he has selected a team of leaders and actually appointed heads of positions. Remember Trump just left about 240 jobs unappointed? Like the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, the White House Drug Control Officer, Agricultural officials and EPA officials, Energy Department officials, and more. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/hundreds-of-top-government-jobs-under-trump-are-unfilled-so-whos-running-things
And could potentially save trillions on healthcare costs. This completely pulled out of my arse number wise, but most people never consider the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this potential macro implications. Like say, forgiving all federal student loans and what that would do for the economy just in terms of freeing up money and tax revenue. But no, it’s always we can’t afford this or that, that would have measurable ROI. But we also sure do seem to have tons of money for them rich folk needing a tax break. I sure hope this doesn’t affect the military spending. We wouldn’t want them suffering just to give us drinking water Too bad in Iowa they will find a way to reject this because cleaning up Iowa water properly means properly regulating the ag business, and farmers don’t like that at all “But if we take the lead out of our drinking water, where will all the new Republicans come from? VOTER SUPPRESSION!” This is outrageous using taxpayer dollars to provide services to taxpayers? Isn’t there another war we can start somewhere. What can be done with $105M to clean up your local drinking water? Does your local drinking water need cleaning up?
Fuck infrastructure improvements. Biden killing it on this front. Actual attempts at making America great again. Can it be to not just clean up the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this drinking water but prevent and hold corporation and individuals leading these corporations responsible. How about lead? It’s cheap, plentiful, and easy to work with. I mean, it worked out well for the Romans, right? /s This is such a win for everyone: companies, workers, the economy, citizens. It’s such a long overdue issue and I’m glad it’s being addressed so forcefully. We really need to update our water infrastructure, especially the pipes we send it through. Any sort of lead exposure is fucking dangerous, especially for children. Take me for example, my childhood home was built in 1926 in an old suburb of Chicago. Even after replacing a good amout of the pipes in the house, I still tested positive for lead constantly as a child because the mains had it. Almost 25 years later and I get diagnosed with severe ADHD and what do my doctors think caused it? Lead exposure I love this but that’s a pretty small amount (I know that sounds weird to say about billions). For instance, in WI it’s going to cost about $700M just to replace all the private and public lead lines in Milwaukee alone.
Why doesn’t CNN name the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this administration in the headline? Seems like a lot of seo and public recognition purposely not given… Talk about / promote the good that comes with this, don’t spend your energy railing against an enemy attack that hasn’t even happened. You’re trapping yourself into sensationalism. First thing that pops to mind is that Flint, MI disaster almost a decade ago. I remember it was national news with people in that town only drinking bottled water since contamination was so bad. Wonder how they are now? Great idea….until you have corporate interests shut this down because it will harm bottled water sales or the next president decides to cancel the infrastructure project entirely.
I was in Asda a couple of hours ago and there were 3 boys (around 14yo) causing a nuisance, yelling made up words/sounds near people, blocking people, being twats basically. One of the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this staff (an older lady, 50+) stepped in and accosted them and during her verbal exchange she asked one of them how his parents would feel if they saw him acting up. Just before this little oik has the chance to reply, his significantly older brother appears and chastises all 3 of the little gits before offering the staff the contact details of their parents. Big Sainsbury’s with the self shop scanners. I unashamedly use them like I’m playing laser quest and occasionally try to quick draw the scanner and beep the thing I want to buy on the shelf.
Going about my business someone else saw me doing this and I saw him doing this also. Instinctively, we turned to each other and gave a knowing nod. Wait, they’re missing a trick. They could hand out bibs with barcodes on so you get to play a game of manhunt whilst shopping I always pretend the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this scanners are Tricorders! I’d love to “acquire” one so I can remodel it and add the sound effects. I’m genuinely surprised there isn’t a market for custom self scanner holders with sound effects. Not only would they keep children (and me) really entertained whilst shopping, they could be educational too. Coming out of Waitrose on a really windy day, I made eye contact with a man well into his 70s. He had his coat open and arms outstretched in it behind him pretending to fly round the car park. Absolute joy. Manager came into my office and asked to borrow a highlighter maybe 30 seconds after I’d uh…acquired…a box of 10. Why yes! I do in fact have a highlighter you may borrow! 😀 I remember doing this with grapes as a young boy…. I was never brazen enough to do it with a baguette though, well played. I was quite enjoying my mental image of an isle of veg in the grocery, accessed by a Japanese bridge and next to the meat counter
Met a lady in the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this woods the other day. She told me that there’s woodpeckers and curlews in the valley at present. Kingfishers may be back soon too. Then there’s the buzzards and the elusive white owl that keeps a very low profile. Hang on, the veg is always near the entrance and the bread usually at the end, he must have grabbed the bread then walked back with it. IT WAS ALL PLANNED OUT LIKE A PICNIC. That’s not our layout, bread is just after veg, probably dependant on the building layout somehow forcing the bakery to be there.
We’re no strangers to love You know the In loving memory of my son always on my mind forever in my heart wing shirt in contrast I will get this rules and so do I A full commitment’s what I’m thinking of You wouldn’t get this from any other guy Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you We’ve known each other for so long Your heart’s been aching but you’re too shy to say it Inside we both know what’s been going on We know the game and we’re gonna play it And if you ask me how I’m feeling Don’t tell me you’re too blind to see Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
