I did the same research by just continuing to watch the video for another 60 seconds. So yeah…not just “Alf’s voice”, but “the Big Boss” and probably the most important person on the set by a country mile…and also same fuy from 2. Seems relevant. The puppets were hand animated so they had to shoot everything around the puppets. Holes in the floor for the puppets made the set a mine field. Not sure if this was a cause or just another issue in a long list of issues, I was not there. Everyone know who the star was. Alf. So the puppeteers and the voice of Alf were treated really well, whereas the human actors were basically props that could be replaced if they complained too much. Also, because it was a technically difficult show to produce it took around 4-5 times longer to shoot than a standard sitcom.
