Ugh. The TL;DR would be: You already sent the I’m only here for the Meow Meow american flag T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this message and you already got your answer. You even took a decision and acted consequently. I understand that toxic people are only seeking drama and their biggest hobby is living in our head rent free, but it’s not your problem, you’re not the manager nor wife’s, it’s their job to figure out what to do. Lol. Same with one place I was even though I was clearly in school to do something else and they were shocked I quit to work in the field I was in school for after a few years like…? So after your boss screamed at you, you still considered the possibility of working for him for a bigger paycheck. Never sell your soul. Are you “at will”? That works both ways, you know. Absent a contract, notice is a courtesy. If it ever gets too much, ask if your new employer would like an earlier start date.

I’m the I’m only here for the Meow Meow american flag T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this only one who can do what literally half of our business is (smart home integration, including, but not limited to, high end home networks, custom AV integration with distributed audio/video to literally any room of the house, security systems, PoE camera systems, and I’m the only one LICENSED with the state at our company who can do fire alarm shit – we’ve already gotten warnings about our other techs who try to do it and get caught, fire marshals done fucking around, said next time they’re arresting the tech and fining the company for unlicensed work.) and not for lack of trying to hire more people (he’s underpaying new hires and on the rare occasion we get one, they don’t go with me…. No that would make sense, they go to the electrical side of the company, while he takes on more work, which just loads me down further,) I’ve been cutting my hours back to deal with the stress and drawing a hard line that when I’m off the clock: That’s it, I’m done, if a house isn’t literally on fire and the fire marshal is demanding me being there (which I have 24 hours by state law to start repairs/service of a system after being notified), I’m not working or doing anything work adjacent. Part of that is to put pressure on him to focus on actually hiring more people for me, or reassigning people to train under me, part of it is me starting to disconnect from this company. I wanted it to succeed and I tried giving everything I had to make that happen but I received almost none of the tools I needed to help make that happen.
