Having charging stations installed is an insane level of infrastructure and would require a fundamental redesign on how literally all these vehicles work AND massively increase cost. Pick them all up and impound them then Fine Lime for it, maybe then they’ll take some responsibility dor these things. I’d personally take some badly parked ones etc if it means keeping these services alive. Having the I’m Not like a Regular Mom I’m a Super Mom Retro T-Shirt and I love this ability to cycle door to door and being assisted by an electric motor, so that you aren’t sweaty is a game changer for me. It’s the people who live in my building who live it right in front of the door…I’m looking at you ausy couple who live above me. Idk man, they’re much better for the environment, taking up the space of 3 cars with many bikes/scooters, and when you suddenly are in need of one for whatever reason you’ll be super thankful. Complain about cars and the largely car centric areas of London. Why doesn’t it extend to bike people and Scooter who are holding on to you corner of your vehicle then soon go in and out traffic with out signal You don’t moan about the 1000’s of cars clogging up the roads, polluting the city and lining every single street as far as the eye can see….. You are genuinely nuts. All I’m highlighting here is the chaotic parking situation with Lime (and similar) bikes. I’m neither advocating for cars nor disputing the environmental benefits of bikes. Where did I say that thousands of deaths caused by cars are acceptable? Also, claiming these bikes are death-free? I disagree with that. Good luck surviving a direct hit from one of these electric bikes.

Failing to see the I’m Not like a Regular Mom I’m a Super Mom Retro T-Shirt and I love this problem here. There’s space for disabled people and pushchairs to pass comfortably. It’s not exactly a busy street with foot traffic. Shrug. This is a designated parking spot for Lime bikes in the app as chosen by the council so the bikes are not parked in random places, I guess they need to work on the capacity for each location. The bike parking has clear boundaries. Bikes parked outside these boundaries are not in the designated spot. If there is pavement near a car parking spot and you park there, you cannot argue that you have parked in a designated area. The app should include a parking limit to match the capacity of the designated parking spot for these bikes. The bike app itself is what has the boundaries set, when attempting to end your ride it will notify you that you cannot end unless you’re stopped in the designated location.
