It’s free, they’re staffed with incredible folk, and they’ll signpost you to things like Alcoholic’s Anonymous, SMART, and the such. The thing with Turning Point as a first point of call is they’ll help you set up recovery plans and give you a whole suite of help, whereas going directly to something like AA/SMART gives you just one of those helpful avenues. Turning Point offer mental health support, counselling, a single case worker, group therapies, Mindfulness.
They’ll help you organise your recovery around an otherwise normal life too, so work/family commitments don’t need to take a backseat. There are charities similar to Turning Point if they’re not in your area.
