Maybe I’m a terrible person but I don’t tip when I do to go orders. I rarely eat out as it is but if I’m going to just pick up a bag off the I’ll Get Over It I Just Need To Be Dramatic First Lazy Sloth T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this counter, I’m not tipping. If I pay cash, which is nearly never, I’ll give the change. But that seems excessive. Just pay these employees a regular wage. Cheap ass companies. I ordered takeout this weekend online and the tip was automatically put in the order at 10%. You could remove it but it was still wild to me that they automatically add it in for to go orders. Sometimes workers do deserve tips for to-go orders IMO, it totally depends on the situation. But asking for tips? That makes zero sense to me. A tip is extra. It’s supposed to be for good service. What if your service was crap? Alright, I dont think this is a fair criticism as its been portrayed here….Tip culture is gone haywire realistically but this is not the same thing. The waitress still makes dog shit wages and instead of working on a normal table they are working on your to go order and depending on where it is may be doing way more than just baggin the food. I mean i dont think theres an expectation like yu would a waiter normal but if youd normally tip them you should give them something

If the I’ll Get Over It I Just Need To Be Dramatic First Lazy Sloth T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this employer has the employee coded as wait staff doing the togo orders, then its wrong of the employer. If your employer is stealing your wages by doing that, it has nothing to do with me. You should be making a wage because ToGo isn’t generally tipped, or is tipped considerably less. you people act like that person doesnt have ten other things to be doing instead of dealing with your togo order. i bartended at a busy restaurnt, i had to stop making drinks for the restaurant, taking care of my customers at the bar to go deal with your togo orders. you took my time, fucking tip for it. so whats your solution? hire another person to deal with togo orders that may or may not come in? congratulations, you just raised the price of the food youre buying. Do they tip cooks? And what does the “may or may not come in” have to do with anything? Bartender may or may not come in. Cook may or may not come in. Honestly, jobs should have redundancy built in because thats always the case, because news flash, tomorrow isn’t promised.
