But with the “direct storage” tech, games occupying huge space should not be a thing anymore, I guess. But here we are. Microsoft promised this SSD tech for a long time now, but there’s no sign of it on either W10 or W11, no menu option, no speed ups in general. Sony released a port of Returnal, the game actually uses RAM to load things instead of the SSD… and now the newest Ratchet game will be ported, I am curious to see how they are going to deal with the SSD technology. Microsoft needs to wake the hell up and give us what they promised, “direct storage” is just one feature among many that Microsoft is failing to deliver

Used to have a gigabit connection (downloading RDR 2 took like 7 mins), but now with my 100M connection… Game downloads are very annoying, and slow. My SSD isn’t even big enough to store that entire game empty. It’s only 120 gigs. And my Windows folder and Users folder are each occupying 50.
