Your GPA is a measurement of how well you follow instructions and do what you’re told and adopt the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this opinions of your professors without resistance. My wife & I went to pretty much the same schools. She has a bachelor’s and a masters, but lacks some skills that I find hard to believe. I am not super book smart, have a 2 year AAS, but am more into mechanical things, stuff she could never hope to understand. This sounds like you and your wife. Daily tasks are tedious and boring maybe? Also speed and intelligence are not equal comparisons that I know of? Also, you said you were raised in a competitive environment. So maybe she isn’t slow, she is just more relaxed and take her time. But she seems slow to you because you are used to people who vibe on a faster frequency.
If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt: A Unique and Creative Design
I recently started going to lunch with a lady. She us brilliant academically but she doesn’t have much common sense. It’s simple. The more educated someone has become the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this dumber their everyday skillset becomes. I’ve seen it alot. Some people can’t even operate a photocopier or replace it’s ink cartridge. Sounds similar to me through school. Always had As and Bs in all AP (honors) classes. I would just do the homework, not study, and ace all my tests. Now I excel at my career, but I swear my brain just “turns off” as soon as I head home from work. It just be like that I guess, lol. Different kinds of smart. Wife can solve math in her head, I can’t. I can reassemble the dishwasher after taking it apart to clean it. Wife can’t make Ikea table. I can write a professional email in 2 minutes. Wife needs 15 to think it out and proof read it. Wife can pack a suitcase, I don’t understand its tiny dimensions. Tell ya what, its not that uncommon, really. My.husband is like that. I feel like I (a teacher) really cant teach him anything. He is a terrible cook..He cant give a massage (I was a professional and have tried and tried and he cant remember the basics) and he doesnt even organize anything well. I frequently wonder if he has a learning disability. He will, however, do relationship stuff with me, damn near perfectly. I mean, he is SO attentive and doting, and perpetually loving, its just fine. He is also a damn good retired plumber. He is extraordinarily empathetic and has a way with words, that I wouldnt have ever expected from a high school dropout.. He knows how to explain emotions, politics (the suff he understands), etc, in a way that I have never seen even an academic professor, do. So, while I still believe he has a learning disorder, I dont think thats the biggest part of him. His empathy has helped to balance.me out so much also. Here I am just arguing with people all day long, and he thinks Im.so cute. But HIM, he is probably the most diplomatic person ever. He has gifts. I am celebrating those gifts..
a lot of ppl who thrive in academic or professional environments spend 99% of their energy doing that and then go home to a house that is (figuratively) scotch taped together. it’s a lifestyle on the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this other hand a lot of “remedial” high schoolers are very intelligent and either had shit going on at home or were more latchkey or something and weren’t ready /didn’t have the support for the regiment that’s required to be a high achieving 14-17 year old It’s your environment that makes you think you’re at not as smart as your wife. You grew up with a really competitive environment which probably has a high standard for average while it’s mostly likely the opposite to your wife’s upbringing. My friend barely graduated high school after pouring so much of daddy’s money in tuition and shit but can rock my ass on CSGO and CS2. Sometimes we are just talented or special in other areas. Ofc I did help him study back in high school as well.
About this If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt
Years ago I worked for a software developer. The primary programmer was one of my best friends. And one of my responsibilities was to make sure he had his boarding pass (this was “back in the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this day”) if we were flying. He was brilliant. But common sense things were outside his focus. My wife is a surgeon who cuts people open and rummages around in their bloody innards but she will get grossed out by a worm. Schools aren’t designed to gauge or your abilities or intelligence. Although being skilled and intelligent is important a-lot of academic success has to do with agreeable and being within the bell curve. Outliers on differing learning styles are usually push to the margin and one could argue that most of school is just the indoctrination of breaking people down and making them okay with doing mundane repetitive tasks that increase or vary in skill needed and difficulty for 6-9 hours a day so we don’t question why we wasted our life away for a place that would have a replacement in less than a week if you died. Find your passion m, live your life, hail Cthulhu Being smart and being able to do things quickly are not the same thing. It’s like saying “my friend can lift way more than me, but I can run a mile faster than him”.
Because it’s not her field of expertise. Just because someone is smart at one thing doesn’t mean they’re good at other things. I grew up in blue collar family. We’re mechanics operators craftsman tradesman and everyone in the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this family says go to college and don’t be stupid like us Book smarts aren’t equivalent to street smarts. Knowing how to solve differential equations doesn’t equate to knowing not to buy you street pharmaceuticals from suspect dealers. We only have your word for the fact that she’s slow. I’m going to go ahead and believe that you’re one of many people who overestimate their own abilities and underestimate those of others. Friend of mine only did a couple years of community college. When his apartments were bought and the new landlord went on an eviction spree. To raise the rents. He helped defend all of them in court. Was interesting. I felt proud, amazed to see my friend defeat a whole law firm in court There’s genius, street smart, book smart, smart ass, dumb ass, just plain dumb, stupid, ignorant, & idiotic. …. we all fall into ALL of them. A guy I work with is basically a savant when it comes to mechanical things, yet can barely send an email. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. What daily task are you referring to? And slow how? Like she takes a lot of time to do things, or she can’t figure things out?
Speed isn’t really equated with intellect in any meaningful way. Like folding a pile of laundry say… a complete buffoon might be done way quicker than someone smarter because they can singularly focus on the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this task while the smarter person might be thinking about other things and just sort of slowly working. what were you competitive at in remedial classes? sounds like you’re not smarter than her because of your schooling but rather how you judge what she spends her time on. what makes you think she’s slow?? lol Smart can be in some ways and not others. I had to explain how to do her laundry at a laundry mat and walk step by step in cooking and that gas doesn’t come with the gas can to my college student who graduated in the top 2% of her 700+ person class and who graduated high school with awards and college credits. Where as I barely got my ged and I can balance a budget with a kid on my hip while making dinner from scratch and list off everyone’s schedule for the week off the top of my head without having to think about it. I can look at my husband and tell if he needs to go to the dr with a look and maybe 2 questions. I can settle a group of kids and calm down angry adults without trying too hard.
Maybe she’s taking longer because she’s doing a better job? You say yourself you’re rushing through things because of a need to be competitive. Had a horrible grade average in my school years. For some reason, nuns would tend to pick on me and I guess I dug my heels in and gave them more reason to hate me. I guess I must have given off a weird vibe as one of my brothers told my wife that they thought I would be living in my parents basement until I was in my forties. Wife was pissed off at them but I just shrugged it off. Brother that said this If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this never held down a secure job most of his life. Turns out I landed a job a couple weeks after I turned 18 and left home earlier than any of my other siblings. They would always ask me for assistance as I knew how to fix about any problems they had and wound up getting my engineering degree in my forties as my company paid for it.
Some of the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this dumbest people I know are incredibly smart. Give them a test and they’ll get 100% but in everyday life they’re dumb as hell. Some people “turn on their brains” I can do very well in school and work but it takes so much mental effort when I’m not doing it I turn off my brain when I’m just at home to relax. The dumbest people I ever worked for were surgeons. They just have an ability to be book smart & specialize (thank goodness, surgery is hard!) But every other god forsaken thing goes out the window. Sometimes I wondered if they’d be able to dress themselves if their spouses weren’t laying their scrubs out for them daily. There are loads of different kinds of intelligence. There’s academic intelligence, social intelligence, emotional intelligence, practical intelligence, and so many different fields of knowledge that just applying the word “intelligent” to someone can have so many meanings. I could write your essay for you thanks for my knowledge of the english language, but ask me where the pasta is in the cabinet and I’ll be looking for a good 5 minutes. Being able to memorize info for a test does not make one intelligent. Common sense and deductive reasoning is sorely lacking. We have lots of people with college degrees that can’t make it through the day without and emotional meltdown because they lack common sense in day to day interactions and basic tasks.
My husband is incredibly intelligent but my god is he slow at household tasks. Meanwhile I’m super efficient. However, before kids I had years of nanny experience and with being a nanny, came skill building the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this household task skills and time management as well. Whereas his experiences have been more computer based and not chore related. Speed of thought and Quality of thought are different attributes. Everyone has different levels of those things. In some things you need decisive and fast action with ok accuracy. In others you need methodical thought and high certainty but it is less important how long it takes. Play to your strengths, know how to mitigate your weaknesses, be kind to others who process their thoughts differently. There are different levels of smart and intelligence. Not just one or two. Someone may be smarter in some areas, but the other person may be smarter in others. Street smarts. Book smarts. Common sense. Information retention. Etc.
Also, some people who might be more analytical may spend more time going over more scenarios or possible outcomes or to see which is the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this best choice whereas some others may not spend as much time. Also, it may be totally independent of each other. Doing something quickly frequently doesn’t align with doing something right. I was always one of the slowest workers in school, but I almost always had next to no errors. This is absolutely going to be buried, and is just me talking out of my ass and making conjectures about things I’ve learned through psychology courses in college (like, just over 15 years ago) and my own struggles with just this thing. Learning facts, having an aptitude for (pure) logic and deduction and mathematics, and being otherwise insightful about things like history or politics or artistic interpretation are all VERY different things than day-to-day, mundane tasks. You’ve cited no examples so I’m just assuming broadly practical chore-like things.
And here the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this conjecture and personal experience comes in. For someone who was raised in an environment where education and intelligence were the most important things about them (which a lot of “gifted” kids feel, whether they know it or not), the majority of their brain’s bandwidth is devoted to JUST that. The day-to-day things aren’t important because those are lot the things they are positively reinforced for. A person in that environment devotes less brain power to the things are not what they are lead to believe are most important about them/life. And school-age children are learning the skills at that age that they will use to adapt to and navigate their lives, and the things that aren’t their special skill are neglected by their brain’s processing bandwidth. Other shit requires more of your literal caloric energy. The average caloric expenditure of the brain is 20% of your recommended intake. If someone, like maybe someone who has ADD, uses more of that energy to think, the brain will (completely conjecture here) find ways to rest. Like completely tuning out when not it isn’t smart time anymore.
There are multiple theories of intelligence in the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this field of psychology that explain the different types of intelligence within the human mind. Your wife seems to have some of them— maybe not all. Such is the case with almost everyone I dropped out in 8th grade, while my ex graduated HS with a 4.7 GPA and went to an Ivy League adjacent school. He had no chance to develop common sense or critical thinking skills, it was all book smart. He filled so much of his time with school and extracurriculars that his parents were happy to do literally everything else for him. They went clothes shopping for him, picked out his outfits, made his bed, cooked every meal. When he moved for college and had to do his first load of laundry there, it was actually his first load of laundry, ever. I had to teach him, lol. Definitely an extreme example, but being successful in your academic life really doesn’t mean you’ll be successful elsewhere!!
Maybe she’s like me and unmedicated ADHD, or undiagnosed. Can be smart as a whip, but if you don’t feel like doing it, it’s going to take literally forever to finish. Doing well in school isn’t an indication of intelligence. When my son was accepted into the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this gifted program, we discovered that most of the kids (including him) had some sort of learning disability they needed to work around. Rote memorization unfortunately is a metrics often used to measure intelligence and how you are graded in school. If you can perfectly score high on tests in school. You are an honors student. Being able to work well with your hands and problem solving is a different skill set. It requires common sense and critical thinking.
Thinking independently and challenging authority is a trait frowned upon in school. The educational system prefers strict conformity and respect to hierarchical rule. School is all about churning out workers who’ll do exactly what they are told. this is me, i consider myself to be very academically smart and am excelling in uni but lack in executive functioning skills sometimes. there are plenty of ways this is possible. sometimes people just learn differently and are better with academic tasks. it’s not my job to diagnose people on the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this internet especially without knowing much abt them, but in my personal experience, i experienced trauma in my childhood which can lead to similar symptomology as adhd with daily living tasks, which could also be another consideration. again, i can’t and won’t suggest any diagnosis, but it is possible!
I’m confused at where the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this contradiction is. I would expect someone who takes things slowly to be very deliberate and focused in school and get good grades. Similarly, I would assume that someone who is in remedial classes to have a tendency to rush things without putting a lot of thought in to them. RURAL UPSTATE NEW YORK. That’s why.. Literally people are so ignorant and refuse to accept that people think differently than them. Book smarts are different from street smarts. I’ve also noticed a lot of people who did really well in school tend to have parents who did almost everything for them growing up, just so they could have more time to devote to homework, classes and studying. It tends to leave them woefully unprepared for the adult world. Lol I did terrible in school, did drugs, and am honestly lazy af (or maybe just have adhd who knows)… my partner did excellent in school and would be considered the responsible nerd between us. We both agree that for whatever reason I think, speak, and move much more quickly, am faster to solve problems, etc.
I used to take honor and AP classes and a lot of the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this kids weren’t naturally intelligent, just worked hard and always tried until they got the results they wanted. Maybe your wife was one of those. I always felt bad because I never studied or tried much and ended up with great grades. Always procrastinating on projects and finals, still get an A. Meanwhile I would see some people would write their final over 5 times to get it perfect, felt like a time wasted to me until I got older and realized there was a reason they had perfect notes and worked extra on everything. They learned something I never did though, and that was to keep trying I find that a lot of low intelligence people do things fast because they don’t take time to think about what they’re doing at all.
If the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this parents survive long enough to see it, I bet they’ll jump through gymnastic mental hoops to blame the kids Maintenance came out a couple months back and I’ve never talked to the guy before. I’m at my laptop doing work and we’re making small talk while he does his inspection. He saw my daughters sax and mentioned his kids use to be very active with marching band in the area until college. According to him their marching band use to be the best around, until a certain group of people ruined. I wasn’t sure what direction this was going to go. I live in a relatively diverse town on the border with Canada, so I asked which people. It took every facet of my strength to withhold the uproar of laughter when he said, “the gays ruined marching band.” Apparently they don’t contribute and just join to be center of attention, while the straight kids do all of the work.
The funniest thing about this line of argument is that the If genghis khan so khan you loot pillage burn join the mongols today shirt and I will buy this same argument was made 2,500 years ago in an Athenian comedy from the 5th century BC (Aristophanes’ The Clouds). A crusty old conservative challenges his debating opponent on what he thinks is an impossible point– that “the gays”* serve a useful social purpose– and is defeated in the following manner: Oh my ZEUS they’re ALL gay!! I recognize (pointing at people in the audience) him, and him… and him with the long hair… all right, you win… What a bold statement. In my heteronormative city, angrily single quasi-closeted gays were all that held the band together. Thank you for this. This is the funniest thing I’ve seen on Reddit in quite a while. I’m gay but I don’t remember ruining any marching bands. But we ruin everything somehow, don’t we? Ha ha ha
