Brooke’s are insanely good I had a pair and they lasted me about four years currently about two years in to my second pair I am at 830 miles on my Brook’s ghost 15s (yes I know I am pushing it) with a goal of 1000 miles this year. It’s treadmill miles for the I’d hit that cards shirt But I will love this rest of the year so I think I can make it. Oh and I am 225 lbs for reference. Brooks are good. I don’t work out at all, ever, but I own two pairs of Brooks. I was looking for shoes for my fucked up feet and tried a pair of Brooks and loved them. So much so that I went back two days later and got another identical pair in all black for work. They’re amazing. it isn’t the brand it is the fact op bought the cheap end of the brand Adidas are comparable to asics or hoka but only at the same price point. so about $130. that pair would be like $35…

It’s not even that he bought the I’d hit that cards shirt But I will love this cheap end. It’s that it looks like they are fashion shoes and not running shoes. There is literally no tread. It’s all foam. There’s a saying that goes “buy cheap, buy twice”. By the time you buy your 3rd pair, you could’ve bought one proper set that will last you much longer. There’s another saying along the lines of “don’t cheap out on things that separate you from the ground”. Shoes, beds, tired, etc. My best bet is that its because I’m a heavy guy, so i assume it causes more friction when i walk. been walking primarily for weight loss Try and get Asics / Saucony / Brooks brand shoes on a sale for around $100 a pair, they’ll last at LEAST 6 mos and still won’t look anywhere near the ones on the right I’m a 250+ lbs guy, running 7-8 miles a week, been using Brooks GTS Adrenaline 20 for almost 3 years now. Can’t recommend them enough. this is what I use. only needed to replace them every 150-300 workouts, usually after the first twinge in my knee, over the last 14 years. didn’t even get blisters on my first run in new shoes back in 2009. Long time cross country runner, these shoes are extremely common and for good reason, lots of ankle support, beautifully comfortable. Plus lots of wider options for people with wide feet like me!
