Ahhh no, this comment makes me sad! I love Las Vegas, especially the I Wear Purple For My Mama Gnome Alzheimer’s Awareness Sunflower T-Shirt but in fact I love this little town square/main street area. There are far uglier places in this world. My brother was two when we got lost going to the Pittsburgh Zoo and ended up across the river in Millvale. In his great childhood wisdom he took a look around and proclaimed ‘this place is a dump!’ Twin Falls isn’t great, but I’ll easily see 30 worse towns than Twin when I’m driving across the west to get to Boise. Made a wrong turn and ended up in Wallace, ID. Not a place I will voluntarily return to. Only reason I remember the name is because of Wallace and Gromit. It’s not the sights so much as the smells. A friend used to glorify the place. My first impression was, why does everything smell like piss? It’s weird, I’ve traveled to NYC a ton and it never smelled like piss. Way more like garbage but you do get a mix of amazing smells if you walk buy the right place. I’m mostly in Brooklyn and didn’t use the subway often, not a big fan of Manhattan. Jersey smells the absolute worse like if you’re driving through the oragnes. Like someone puked into a dumpster behind a fish and cheese market. I had heard about it, but seeing its unbelievable size all I could feel was shame for being a human – no animal could ever be so disgustingly cruel

Just urine? You must have been there on a good day. Usually, it’s urine, sunbaked vomit and God knows what else Any of dozens of suburbs across the I Wear Purple For My Mama Gnome Alzheimer’s Awareness Sunflower T-Shirt but in fact I love this US. I’ve been to lots of run down urban areas, barely-populated rural areas and actual ruins in the world. But nothing is uglier than row after row of nearly identical houses, the same set of big box stores and strip malls full of fast casual chain restaurants. Give me an urban area dotted with graffiti and vibrant with decades or centuries of stories of the people who have lived there, any day. San Francisco. And I’ve lived in a lot of places all over the globe. Granted, San Francisco is still one of the most beautiful cities on earth, but man, the bad parts are horrific. Think of the worst human misery you can think of. It sticks out to me because it is a pretty good portion of the city that is like this and not just the tenderloin neighborhood. The opioid crisis is rampant and honestly the ugliest and most disgusting scenes I’ve ever seen. A close second would be the garbage dumps in the Philippines where people are rummaging for whatever will keep them alive. New York City – the more crowded/busy neighborhood the worse. Smell of urine, garbage and the subway is absolutely disgusting – I bet many third world countries have cleaner trains. That’s only the place I am talking about I won’t mention the people.
