Just outside Queenstown, Tasmania, Australia. Some people call it a moonscape but it just looked bleak and barren as hell to my wife and I. The town itself was highly depressing as well. Even if they are addicts… everyone has his own way of escaping trauma/ reality/ bad memories… But I saw all kinds of celebrities mixed in with the transients. Athletes, actors, actresses, models, you name it. The politicians made it possible for the IV addicts to get clean gear to prevent disease yet nowhere for them to dispose of the old gear. Unless you want to wait 24 hours and exchange them for fresh paraphernalia. But what damn IV user is gonna randomly carry rigs or pipes around all day they’re done using? What, so the cops can arrest them on a charge the government provides for harm reduction? And why are private citizens w good hearts providing the homeless food, clothes, water, healthcare, etc and not the City govt? California isn’t exactly a poor state. 🙄 Fkg ridiculous.

Menindee, New South Wales. I obliged and smelled the foulest odor 10 miles from the outskirts. It was like collective tweaker smog from all the crack and meth pipes. The hotel was at least clean and we had a good time alone, but I ended up breaking things off because I never wanted to step foot in that shithole again. We made a wrong turn in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles in the middle of the night and ended up a bit lost in skid row. The whole street was filled with homeless. One ripped guy walked across the street while our car was moving, forcing us to stop and he didnt look at us or hurry. Probably was a drug dealer who basically owned the street sending us a signal, like “Get the fuck outta my turf”. It was like going to another country, coming from Little Tokyo.
