This is something that people take seriously, so don’t feel alone. Either stick it out and do less work, don’t tell them what you’re gonna say to your school because they don’t want to lose their abuse network for cheap labor. I can tell they’re abusive because they know you don’t have the work experience required for a project, and instead of helping you work through it or congratulating you for what you got done, they’re pressuring you to figure it all out or pressure of termination. Don’t trust contracts in general by the way. If they wanted someone who knew how to do this, they could have just hired someone who does it professionally. By hiring someone who isn’t a professional but abusing them to perform professionally shows they are NOT a professional partner of the school, of neighbors, in association or heritage to anything anyone wants to be a part of. They’re a piece of crap. rant over I just had a lot of thoughts to piece together because I’ve heard warnings of these experiences from my teachers. There are creative ways to proceed thru this but I’ll let others take the floor for that.

Leave the first chance you get though. Keep applying for other internships. Yeah OP honestly, look at it this way. Many internships are unpaid (it’s messed up but true). The reason they’re even a thing is for the experience. Even though it’s a shitty company, it’s such a tough market now and may be even tougher when you enter the market for a full time gig. I did an internship where my employer promised my summers worth of pay at the end of the summer in full. I agreed because I was a college kid and needed money. I never got a cent, but I did get experience. Looking back, it sucked, but it certainly did get me where I am today.
