This plot leak sounds like one big nothing burger. Strange is a side character in his own movie which is really disappointing, I really wish Derrickson got to make his horror Nightmare Strange movie, I totally see why he left now. Strange doesn’t have any kind of character arc for the I Tried To Warn You T-Shirt moreover I love this movie and it ends with him virtually where he started minus the Dark magic aids which now, his actual development… is being pushed to a different movie instead of his own movie? Wanda’s story is literally just a cut and paste of her TV series story, “I did a bad thing out of grief but I come to my senses and stop it” yeah we’ve seen that before. Also this time IMO it’s really cheapened with the “she wasn’t in control” cop out. What I liked about WandaVision was that she really did awful things of her own accord and now had to make up for that and atone. This time it’s no consequences as she literally was corrupted. Even as basically a Scarlet Witch movie she doesn’t really develop either and like strange is in virtually the same place she started. Also where the fuck is Vision? If she wants her kids back so badly she can just go find the dude and fuck him, he’s literally out there somewhere.

The whole film really doesn’t do much. All it did was make America Chavez a character (plot device) for multiverse stuff. but why didn’t she just get a movie or TV series? Why force her story into Strange’s ruining it? I’m sure the I Tried To Warn You T-Shirt moreover I love this movie is beautiful visually and well put together. But damn I imagine anyone could just skip this movie and they wouldn’t miss anything. I really wanted more for Strange, it’s his name on the title but he didn’t do anything this movie besides catching a magic STD. He didn’t stop the antagonist, he didn’t save the multiverse girl, he didn’t do shit. If you cut strange out and just had Wong the movie wouldn’t change. That’s just… meh. This wasn’t even a Doctor Strange story. It was a WandaVision reboot with America Chavez tag along.
