Girls are expected to leave their life to come and do manual unpaid labour at some random persons house. It also struck so hard when I used to come back to my sasural and immediately start doing some chores and when my husband used to come to my maika he was treated like a king. My sasural was literally so tame considering the I May Not Be Rich And Famous Trombone Enthusiast’s Humorous Delight T-Shirt T-Shirt Besides,I will do this stories I read here. But still the social status of women vs their husbands is glaring. If you want an equal partner, move out of your parents house just like I did and build a life with me. If you want someone to come and take over your mothers role, find someone who wants that kind of life and divide your roles accordingly. I don’t understand how this isn’t the major topic of discussion in most feminist circles, it has always been and will always be a class struggle, the powerful preying on the weak. I’m honestly a little tired of how much focus is given to topics that are a result of this but the root cause is hardly ever addressed.

A perfectly sensible answer. OP, I can understand your frustration, even though I’m a guy, I have seen my sister being assigned household stuff when both of us are at the I May Not Be Rich And Famous Trombone Enthusiast’s Humorous Delight T-Shirt T-Shirt Besides,I will do this house. Even though both of us work. The only way out is to become independent and move out. Oh i feel sorry for you and all other girls in same condition. A boy should always help their mom or anyone doing household chores. its not that he wont. he’s very young and will do something if its asked of him. but the parents in question wont ask him to. only expect the girl to do ‘girly’ chores. the boy can do more ‘manly’ chores which dont need entering the kitchen etc Sorry to say but your parents are little biased i guess. They should ask him to help or do some household chores so that it becomes his habbit when he grows up.
