If you like it, go for it. I think it looks pretty cool. But teenagers can be dicks and they might give you shit for being your own person. So it depends on how much of their grief you’re willing to accept. If you go to a pretty progressive school, then you might not notice it. If you’re in the deep South, maybe it wouldn’t be worth it. If you still like the style, but don’t want to go all in, perhaps you could incorporate a few of the accessories on the mannequin. I would switch out the tie for a regular-sized black satin tie. That will tone the look down just a smidge but still coordinate with the various textures. It will also open up the chest and bring out the white on the shirt. I like the jacquard look a lot. This is very nice. It’s a bit… much. When I first looked at it, my thought was that it looked like something that Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor’s version) would have worn from the series Gotham that ran a few years back on Fox.

At the Senior prom I went to in my Freshman year, there were two guys who came in the powder blue and orange tuxes (complete outfits with matching top hat and canes, entirely screen accurate) from the movie Dumb and Dumber. People went nuts. But, then, they were well-known pranksters, so it made perfect sense for their personalities to go that route. F all that. Its fucking amazing. the tie ascot thing? whats going on there. the high cuffs. the chain. the texture. its lit as fuck. I would wear the fuck outta that to every wedding prom, and Halloween party when I forget a real costume I’d tell them Im a james bond villain. Assuming you’re renting this, hell yeah, go for it! Prom is one of the few times you’re going to have an opportunity to dress up this formally around a wide mix of peers. It’s also a time when going a bit over the top is absolutely acceptable. If this had been in the catalog when I went to prom, I would have jumped at the opportunity.
