When we lived in a warmer flat I used to like using a round ice mold thing and putting the I like dogs and owls and maybe 3 people shirt and I will buy this ball of ice under the running water like on top of their fountain. It would keep it spinning which entertained them when they weren’t licking it. Was great fun to watch for all of us lol Our cats have always been fine in hot temperatures – our bedroom got to over 30 at night for a few nights running last summer and it never stopped them hanging out with us. As long as there’s water available it’s probably okay heat-wise. Our dog suffers more in those temperatures than our cats. We use a pet cooling mat when it’s really hot – maybe you can try that too? They’re pretty good (though I recommend getting one before it gets hot because then you can train kitty to use it and also it costs less while it’s not hot!) Not sure about the heat thing as I used to have a shed with a clear roof that the cats loved. It would get well over 40 deg C

I have a cat and she doesn’t seem bothered when we have a heatwave, just make sure you give it access to clean water and it’ll be fine! Last few years the I like dogs and owls and maybe 3 people shirt and I will buy this summers have been excruciating where I live as well, and got a few cats. Cats are hard little things, but if you get one like my oldest, who flops over summer, saving for Aircon like us can be good. We already got 3 fans, blackout blinds and cold mats everywhere, ice cube tray with lactose free milk to make slushies for them, water in all rooms, windows open every night, windows closed when sun’s out. We also take them out when sun’s down to air out the hot air with fans on blast. Pay attention to panting, lethargy and gums and you should be fine.
