Good job on finding a new position. However, why are you trying to be so nice to people who would not be nice to you. You realized that they weren’t going to give you a raise and weren’t treating you very well and so you found a new position. Why would you ever want to do anything more for them? I worked for a two bit operation (2 owners and me…the I identify as a Crime Writer T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this only employee) a few years back. They were constantly talking about the “ground floor” and all the benefits I would have as the first employee, that the company would just grow under me and I’d be getting tons of benefits from helping build it. Well, fast forward a few years, I’ve set up their lab, gotten it ISO-certified on my own, built a safety program, gotten it audited and certified. Etc etc. No raise, no promotion, no increased benefits. What do I get? I get sent home for a 2 day unpaid suspension because I forgot to bring some equipment to a worksite two times in a row. So, I looked for a better job and eventually quit. They seemed so surprised that I’d want to quit, like I was a moron for doing it. I’m making nearly double now what I was then. These small business tyrants are delusional.

Happen to work at a commercial printer outside of Atlanta? Because that sounds exactly like my old boss, down to the I identify as a Crime Writer T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this husband/wife combo and 25x calls a day. I organized the parts for a family owned pump distrubutor. I was the lowest paid employee at the company. I cleaned and organized the parts area of the warehouse. So exciting right. I counted springs and organized Orings and gaskets in a warehouse and shipped out 100% of the parts ordered from the inside sales dept. after 3 years I got the nuts to ask for a quarter raise. In writing. I asked for a job review. Demanded a face to face employment evaluation. 25 fucking cents. $2 more a day. I said give me 10 things to add to my job duties so i can get that quarter raise in 6 months if I do all ten new job duties. (I dont let him walk away to ponder this, I grab a pen and stare at him ready to write.. I get him to initial another evaluation no later than 6 months to this day.) He gives me 10 more responsibilites. I do them all to perfection for 6 months straight including my original duties and NEVER MISS A DAY of work in that 6 months. We meet, after 6 months. He waits until the literal LAST day to hold this meeting with me, and I asked him to schedule it by email 4 consecutive weeks, he only responds to the final email stating he owes me this review…. Owner says he doesnt have the 25 cents and he will give me 2 more vacation days a year instead.
