Tbh I knew it before I signed on, but I figured I could tough it out for the I am her eyes she is my wings she my guardian angel bird watercolor shirt besides I will buy this money. But somehow I was getting paid better doing part time at a lower wage this is very true, im 19 and every day when I’m about to walk in, I get heart palpitations and tremors but on my days off everything is perfectly normal. Heart rate hit 177 today. Thank you customers To this day I can’t walk into certain Walmarts without that happening. I have so much anxiety from Walmart. Truly sad The other day I had an old manbaby come up to self-check and ask if I would scan all of his stuff for him. I would have been willing to do so if there weren’t belted registers open, but there were, so I pointed out to him where the open lines were, and he played dumb, acting like he couldn’t see them for a minute while continuing to ask me if I would scan all of his stuff. I outright refused and as soon as he knew I wasn’t going to budge, he got right in one of the lines for the belted registers he pretended he couldn’t see.

Had almost the I am her eyes she is my wings she my guardian angel bird watercolor shirt besides I will buy this same scenario happen to me. Asked them if they were gonna apply so we can have the people to open more registers. If there are registers open they’ll still be mad. Someone came in when we had two lanes open and pull one of my coworkers aside to complain to him about the lack of registers. There weren’t even a lot of people in line for the registers at that point It seems like you get all the karens non stop for your first 8 months then suddenly they get tired of you lmfao All my friends are in early to mid 20s, neurodivergent, socially anxious and we love self checkout because we give ourselves the best customer service which is none lol I genuinely love self checkouts so much, I literally don’t use normal registers unless for some reason I’m forced to lol. It’s hard for me to comprehend why people hate it so much. I only go through a manned checkout if I have a ton of stuff because frankly it’s faster that way. But for anything less than our “we haven’t shopped for food in a month” trips, self checkout lol yes, if you can get a one that is not card only. It is just more convenient to go to a manned registered and then get the bills I want in the denomination I need. I definitely have in my store. We have 8 check stands and about 5 we’re open, 3 had no lines and someone about my age (26) came through self check out to complain we have self checks and I should stop being a lazy C*** and scan his groceries. He had maybe 8 items. I was about 7 month pregnant and self check was the only place I could be at the time for health reasons. It was fun pausing his transaction and getting management to kick him out. I don’t play when you curse at me for no reason
