I’m so sorry that you went through that. I had a similar situation with my older brother who actually passed away 7 years ago. I’m not assuming that you do these things but never smoke, do drugs or drink irresponsibly around her. It’s okay to model good drinking habits such as a glass of wine or a beer at dinner but make sure she never sees you going overboard. If she sees you doing it she will think it’s cool to get drunk because trust me, she thinks you’re cool. If you party with friends that’s fine but just don’t tell her about how drunk you got. This is also a way to make sure she won’t end up with bad guys. She will be less likely to date somebody who does those things.
