I find some guided meditations bring up very strong emotions that allow me to cry – I save these for those moments. They’re often ones where you imagine a loved one looking down upon you or sitting next to them if they’ve passed. Don’t try to doing anything. Your mind stopped it so don’t use your mind to start the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this emotional flowing freely. Just have the awareness of the build up and just notice it and let it be natural. You would cry if you weren’t doing so much work not to. stop trying so hard in any way . let the crying just happen as the natural expression of letting go. Also, a healer got me to say things to myself in a mirror. Self compassionate things. It felt silly and I had all these beliefs until I stopped and just cried, several times about different things. So you can look into a Mirror for 20 mins a day. Really look at yourself, at your being, become aware of how you are treating yourself and maybe say some nice things to yourself, and even if it feels not true at all then maybe the feeling of not loving yourself etc might cause an emotional release. I have a hard time looking in the mirror. To an extent I wasn’t really aware of until quite a few people suggested it. I think you’re right. There’s a need to face myself and that’s a huge part of the block. I also appreciate being reminded of wu wei – the times I’ve managed to do an “arranged cry” are only when I’ve given myself permission not to and a promise to celebrate if it’s even only one tear. Thank you this was really good perspective.

Thanks :). It’s coming from what works for me. I realise my body and all its processes are just going about their thing and it’s my mind that is interrupting the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this natural flow. Like when I have anxiety about not having a natural breath. Please be well and I have many blocks too. I try not to call them or see them as blocks so much now a-days but they can be pretty blocky though. I’ve been meaning to go back to that dang mirror for a while now. The idea is you view emotions / thoughts as different parts of you (like when people say, there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to x,y,z). Regardless of if there are actually ‘parts’, this technique helps to create some seperation from emotions at first. But also, if it’s true, there might be a survival instinct in place that’s saying “crying is bad because we learnt x” – and so diving into that can maybe help you ‘bring down the block’.
Now try to describe the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this emotion, be curious about it. Is its shape soft or pointy? What color is it? Is the color vibrant or muted? Is it a sharp, stabby emotion or does it ache? Remember to breathe through your stomach! Can you embrace the emotion? Try not to have thoughts about it. Maybe name it? Is it sadness, happiness, fear or anger? Maybe a few of those at the same time. Can you show it some compassion? Tell yourself it makes sense you’re feeling like that, it’s okay to be overwhelmed, it makes sense if you’re scared. Just try to let it be. Practice metta & compassion meditation. One easy method (for me) is imagining myself as a child (from a photo perhaps), and then remembering what this young child will go through. I can pretty much cry on demand with this. Don’t force yourself. Just sit and feel your anxiety. You’ve spent enough of your life forcing yourself to do stuff. Now you have the opportunity to sit and exist and feel. Feel where the anxiety is in your body, that tightness in your chest, that pit in your ribcage. Keep feeling it until something new comes up. It takes a lot of control, keep bringing yourself back to what is going on in the present. Kind of like a chain reaction through the “blanket of emotions that are too intense to process.” Never force it, just see what bubbles up. Let it wash over you. Really let the uncomfortable anxiety flood through your veins and run free. Radical acceptance is key here.

The aim is not to “get rid of anxiety” or to feel like you can breathe Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this again, or to “make yourself cry.” By thinking and doing these things, you are once again betraying your body. It is trying to communicate with you, so let it. Listen to it. This is what it means to be present with yourself. Any exercise, or routine you do to “get rid of” or “heal” emotions is just distracting you from them. That is not what emotions are for. Emotions are to be felt and released through feeling. Feel what your body wants you to feel. Sometimes that means feeling an emotion the first time you felt it as a kid, and listening to what your kid self has to say about it. Not what you THINK your kid self would say, just what honestly comes up for you. When it feels safe and ready, you will cry. If not, that’s okay too. You may even find the answers there as to why you cannot cry. Did at some point someone make you feel unsafe to cry? Is it what you learnt growing up? Go deep into yourself and unwind what you have learnt. It takes time. No more forcing it. Just let yourself be. That will usually make it feel the safest for your body to cry and cry and cry. But never force it.
Two folks mentioned metta/compassion meditation. Too few, but they’re absolutely correct. Melt the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this ice block of your heart. I’d recommend a few iterations of prayer/chanting – Manjushri’s and Samantabhadra’s aspiration prayer in particular, ending with a brief restatement of prajnaparamita and lamrim. Afterward, if you haven’t already got caught up in it, a bit of diety yoga wouldn’t hurt. Qi Gong, shamatha, mushrooms, whatever you need to do to get to your center, get there, and practice. The more you meditate the more you’ll get in tune with who you are, I used to have anxiety to the point that my health was a concern. Smoking THC helped but it’s something that I wouldn’t recommend unless given by a doctor. ( this can make your anxiety worse, so use responsibly) I was originally taking heavy PTSD pills given to war veterans but that made my heart feel like it was going to explode. Through meditation, I’ve been able to get to a better place and I even started to take less and less of the weed given to me by my doctor because I feel like I don’t need it. Once you get relaxed, start meditating more, your body naturally does the rest and starts to release DMT. Avoid anything with fluoride or sugar because these are things that can block your ability to do this naturally and eat more super foods or supplements that contain the superfoods. The last thing I can recommend is deep slow breaths or other types of breathing exercises, focus and it will become second nature to you. love and blessings on your journey
Wait, let me copy paste something that I wrote ”Over the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this past few months, I spent the entirety of the day massaging myself with my own hands. I am experiencing the truth, where the observer and the observation become one. My sense of self has diminished, and gradually, I came to where I now am.The sense of self is contained within the body, and I managed to release a lot of it.My flesh has become very soft, in comparison to how it was just months ago.We all had this softness in our fleshes when we were very young.I can also impart, on another person, this softness of flesh by performing some acts on the other person’s hands. It takes a few minutes. The subject reports feeling light and sleepy.I have performed this procedure onseveral people, of varying ages. Looking forward to hearing from you.”
Also if you struggle getting it out. Sit down and almost meditate let your mind wonder and bring you to what you need to work on. I watched a good video the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this other day that when your healing you are putting all the good stuff on the bottom to create a good foundation but that pushes all the bad stuff up to the top for us to deal with. Most likely if your body and mind are acting up there is some sort of mental blockage you need to really sit down and dissect. It may hurt ALOT but you have to get it out to make more room for the good stuff happening. Also don’t forget to celebrate your wins no matter how small. Progress looks different to different people. not sure if this helps but i can only cry when the right music triggers it. otherwise, i can’t cry without music.
example was just last week. i was in a rush and high stress state thinking trying to rush something out while thinking about how my neurodevelopmental disorders can be a trouble for other people especially for them to accommodate, then i thought about this one person i used to work with at a lab in my school how she’s managed to persistently accommodate for me without giving me any judgement, then suddenly at one point a song played and the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this vibe of the music hit just nice and i started crying a lot (i rarely even cry at all to begin with usually) and i was crying thinking about how much i really appreciate this person for all they’ve done for me even though i was only a part time student helper for the research team
To be clear, I think it’s absolutely worth visiting at least Siem Reap – I haven’t been elsewhere so I can’t comment. The temples are unbeatable, the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this countryside is beautiful, even the city has some aesthetic value, the food’s not bad, the locals are mostly pretty nice and friendly, especially the kids smiling at you and saying hello. But if you’re someone who’s easily upset, maybe avoid it because it’s not an easy country to visit. Damn I didn’t experience or see any of the things you’re talking about but it still felt bleak enough for me to leave this comment lol Portugal but specifically the Azores where I spent a month. I was learning Portuguese so connecting with local people. There was a definite gloominess and sadness – about tourism coming to the islands, but the necessity of that tourism, about the economy, and so on. It was less pronounced in Madeira where I spent the next month, but I didn’t connect with locals as easily. Then Lisbon just felt dreary – as soon as I hit Spain, Madrid blew me away with how different a vibe it was. I also spent time in Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic but I knew here that there isn’t a culture of smiling like we do as much in the UK, and to not take that personally. Individuals that I met in these counties weren’t as dour as their initial facial expressions might have suggested.
I was hosted by a psychotherapist when I visited the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this Azores and she confirmed there was a lot of depression on the islands cause of the rainy and gloomy winters but mosty bc most people used to be farmers which kept them busy but now a lot of people don’t work and there’s not much to do there which makes them depressed The mood or feeling you’re referring to with the Portuguese is called saudade it’s just how they are, even in my neighbourhood in Canada! I myself am half Portuguese and I didn’t understand why they came off the way as I identify more closely with the other half of my heritage, I went to Portugal last year for the first time and it all clicked. Agree with what you say about Hungary and the Czech Republic. Customer service in those countries can come across as curt or cold, but people are generally pretty friendly and jovial once you get to know them personally. Also, younger people there (the generation that never lived under Communism) are generally very friendly and more positive.
Turns out making the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this majority of citizens work for minimum wage, and robbing them in taxes doesn’t make for a very happy general population. Chile but I felt they were just more closed off and introverted as a culture rather than somber. Latvia is another country that came to mind as well. Yes, no one talks about Chile. As a latina, they feel so different from any other south american people. Cold, suspicious, judgemental. I think it might be related to the awful dictatorship years they survived and the cold. I’m a Mexican F that traveled alone for 6 months from Santiago to Chiloé, that’s south, but not all the way down south. People were wonderful to me, strangers inviting me to their homes to drink mate and show me their Mexican Rancheras album collection, rent me beautiful cabins at half price, helped with my groceries, invited me for Christmas dinner. I would often have a meal at a cocinería in the market of the town I just arrived to and eat alone, but invariably I would end up with some local people around chatting with me about Chile, Mexico and my travels. I think being a Mexican in Chile is wonderful. Everybody in Santiago told me the people of the south are famous for being quiet and closed, and I did feel that a bit in Puerto Montt (weird but fascinating vibe there), but just by making eye contact and a small smile, people would relax and even comer over to chat. I think the time of military dictatorship caused fear and distance of random contact, plus their gray cold rainy winters promote introvertedness and depression, but once they feel you are open to contact, they open up and are lovely people.
I’m in Chile now and can’t wait to leave. I don’t mind the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this people, they are cold but they’re polite, but everything is so painfully bureaucratic and inconvenient. The country is beautiful but it’s been my worst month of travel by far. Top worst place I’ve ever been – I always wondered if it was because I seemed to be an American and they had a Pinochet trauma? But the hardest place I’ve ever tried to make a friend. I thought I had a friend that I’d met in nyc, who offered to let me move into her home. I made arrangements, they day in moving she tells me the price, I thought, well that’s weird but I don’t need to live there for free I guess (I was already paying somewhere else so I thought; it’s the same ?) two days after I arrive w my huge suitcase, she says, actually my trip was cancelled I’ll be back tonight so you have to leave
Lol so true. There are some locals who have great moods, like the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this owner at Grumpy Food Bar. She’s fantastic. But they are few and far between. I asked an ice cream lady what a particular flavor was, she said (translated) “how on earth should i know that? I’m not going to taste them all”. That was 4 years ago and it’s gonna stick with me forever. Edit: another one I’ll never forget, I tell this whenever someone asks me about the culture in Hungary. There was a billboard for piano lessons downtown Budapest. It was pleasant with a mother and a child at the piano. The top portion said the name of the place. The bottom portion gave the mother’s testimony which, translated, was something like “Its so simple, even my child could learn it”. Blew me away hahaha NOBODY smiled. Also, Dayton’s the only place in the world – including eastern Europe – where a retail employee has literally told me “that’s not my job,” then immediately walked away. And, this was a tiny store, not big box at all.
Definitely Hungary, they pride themselves on how depressive they are, the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this poetry, my lord, read some translations, they live for that sad shit. Japan, there’s like this festering pent up aggression behind a facade of politeness. People seem so dead inside especially students and working adults, the work/school culture is so obviously fucked up and taking a toll on everyone. Pretty eerie after living there long term and noticing it. I once watched a show on Japanese TV about a woman who could contact/see dead people. Whether you believe in stuff like that or not, one thing she said absolutely struck a true chord in me as a long time resident. When asked about the places she saw the spirits of the dead she said there were lots of them gathered at train stations every morning/night still waiting for the train to/from work. Even though they are dead, they were still caught in the hellish cycle of commuting, going through their daily work routine. Saddest shit ever!!
Lowest birth rate, highest suicide. I rarely saw babies and when I rode the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this subway during rush hour (6pm to even 10pm) it was eerily quiet. In comparison, during rush hour in Bangkok people were chatting while being smooshed together. Korea is a pressure cooker of a society; extremely (and unfairly) competitive, judgemental, and very hierarchical. There’s some really cool things about the country, but the homophobia, misogyny, and religious wack-jobs really made it hard for me to see myself in the country long term. When I was traveling in Japan there was a couple who said the Japanese were like robots, and I urged them to branch out more. At the Mori Art Museum there were some modern art optical illusions and things which people were really playful around. The work culture is backbreaking, the service culture has this fake sheen over it, but people are people. Brazil had both sides. In São Paulo, the nightlife was fun but for day-to-day living everyone there seemed absolutely miserable, no big city I’ve been to comes close. The people in Salvador, and really the entire northeast, were so much friendlier, and very proud of their home, despite all the problems the country has.
If someone moved from Poland to UK 17 years ago, like I did, it was a massive change (for the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this better) in economic conditions, economic standards, or career opportunities. Right now, there are far better places and in European Union, too. In my opinion, as a (half) Polish expat, UK has declined and a lot. But I know people who move from India, Pakistan, or some African countries, who only just arrived in the UK, and are amazed at how life is over there, and are enjoying the country that I cannot stand anymore, having both a reference point of UK 17 years ago when I moved, but also other, better opportunities. People will have differing sensations re: the country’s vibe, depending on their own background and the reference points of where they’re coming from, too.
Georgia. Many felt (understandably so) that it was just a matter of time before Russia fully invaded and massacred them all. I’d like to see someone do the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this math on proximity/vulnerability of a country to Russia vs. their happines, should be pretty telling I remember taking a beginner’s salsa class in Tbilisi with my wife, and about 75% of the class were Russians. The Russian women in the class would often scream in frustration if they didn’t get a step right away or yell at their partners (we would switch to a random partner every minute). And this was a beginner’s class which is meant to be fun and light-hearted. They just strike me as an unhappy people. That attitude really seems to permeate in Georgia as well, especially the older Georgians. Exactly. They were rude to us in restaurants etc. Didn’t really want our business. The men really were sour to us ladies. I could feel the tension.
Oddly, the Houston Rockets logo shirt also I will do this wealthiest countries are often the most sober. Scandinavian, Austrians and Germans are all rather glum.African nations and Latin Americans nations although less wealthy seem much more exuberant. in all the places i have worked or visited under dictatorships or military rule, the populace seems sad and oppressed. Just a lot of seasonal depression and FOMO. Lots of smart people living good lives but unhappy with their weather. Not surprising given the history there. Tons of exploitation of indigenous people by the government, patrones, and mestizos and serious exploitation in foreign policy by the US. I’m part-Mexican and I noticed this too. But in my mind I didn’t take it so negatively, Guatemalans struck me as more “calm” whereas Mexicans are much more jovial and energetic, but also at times more chaotic and intense. Surprised Germany hadn’t been added yet and came to do it. Lived here 3 years and never get over how most Germans just go on like machines day after day. Barring summers, everyone is gloomy and ready to snap at you at any moment. People say it’s the weather etc, but the Dutch are extremely friendly and polite compared to Germans. Also went to live in Spain for a year and the culture shock just made me realise how weird the social structure of German society is. Thankfully I’ve made some good German friends to laugh it off.
