You might want to ask her if she would rather have you over and you having time to yourself or just spending time apart. I know plenty of people just like the Horror Jason Christmas Jason Voorhees shirt But I will love this other person being there without having to do stuff together. I think you can say it just like you said to Reddit. Truth and honesty. And keep the “I love to be with you”, but explain to her that you may need time for yourself sometimes. My husband and I call it co-playing. I read on my tablet or watch something with my headphones on. He plays whatever game has caught his attention or watches TV with his headphones on. We do tons of stuff together but most of our time is spent near each other. We also interrupt each other often. Last night I read him Jimmy Fallon’s #myfamilyisweird and he made me pause my movie to see how his robot ran. It’ll be 17 years on Tuesday. This works for us. Just tell her, the sooner the better. It’s possible she isn’t ok with it but that’s life. You don’t want to make yourself uncomfortable for the rest of your life by pretending you are a someone else.

I told my most recent girlfriend right off the Horror Jason Christmas Jason Voorhees shirt But I will love this bat that I play video games and once a week I’d need a gaming night with me and the boys (some of whom have moved away and it’s the way we keep in touch). She said that’s fine, that was 14 years ago, we’re married now but I didn’t want to pretend in the early years that I didn’t need my seperate time only to drop it on her later. That’s not fair to the other person at all. Just tell her that you’re the type of person that needs a certain amount of alone time, tell her it makes you happy. I’m like that, I need quite a bit of alone time, but my wife respects that, if she didn’t I don’t think I could be with her. Tell her immediately. My girlfriend and I established early on what our wants and expectations are in terms of spending time together. We’ll have days we do things together, days we do things alone but happen to be in the same building, and days we’ll be entirely apart.
