Never had a drinking problem but I’ll share the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this mindset they gave me the discipline to do things I didn’t want to do at other points in my life? You say that drinking makes life bearable – which sounds like there’s a lot that you have to address. Your drinking masks whatever is lying underneath, and maybe you feel like that’s working for now. But it won’t work forever, you’ll function less and require more, and it will impact your health – and then you’ll have a new set of problems to deal with it in addition to the ones you’re currently avoiding. Tackling whatever’s going on inside that’s making life unbearable for you is fucking scary. It will be hard work. But it’ll also stop you from drinking yourself to death – which I promise will be unpleasant in ways you can’t imagine. get hospitalized for it, watch as they treat you like an inhuman monster, feel pain shooting through your limbs like you’re getting shocked in 5 second intervals, also have someone take your right to travel and use money away from you. cant drink if they dont let you drink. lose like 30% of feeling in your skin below your neckline. lose your libido, lose your ability to eat, vomit 10 times daily. tbf half of this was caused by me mixing alcohol with NSAIDS but w/e.

Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt: Get Cozy in this shirt

Sounds crazy, but lacroix helped me drink less beer by satisfying the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this fizzy beverage habit part of it. As for making life bearable, that’s depression, so if you work on that maybe drinking less will follow. Therapy, mindfulness on the present, gratitude for what you have, and the right ssri/snri if necessary (which you’re not supposed to drink on anyway) are the way with that. Try cutting back. You said you drink 12 a day. Well starting tomorrow go to 11 a day. Stay at that level for a week. Cut one more out and stay there for a week. The next week cut out one more and keep the decrease going. It should help you not go through withdrawal as badly. You also need to find something else to do. Your body/mind is used to being occupied. Find something to distract you. Reading, drawing, painting, knitting, cooking, anything to keep your mind/body occupied. If it is the taste you like try some of the non-acholic brands. I have heard that some of them are good but I imagine that like regular beers you may have to try a few to find one you like.
Therapy may be needed but finding the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this right therapist sometimes takes time. Don’t give up after a few sessions. One thing that helped me to get out of daily drinking is getting the alcohol away from me. Don’t buy any and if the urge is so big that you have to get something, try any other alcohol free drink. Every time I get the feeling I have to drink solo, I make myself a mint tea. Sounds stupid but it helps. Maybe there is a solution for you, it’s not as healthy but maybe try coke zero? Or something completely new like I did. And maybe talk to a doctor about it, because over such a long time drinking so much alcohol could do things to your body :/ 12 beers a day is bad bud Sure it’s fine if you’re at uni and maybe have 12 in a night on a Friday but everyday is ridiculous. You have to reach a bottom. Mine wasn’t the two DWI’s, rehab, failed marriage, failed relationships, poly substance abuse, 10’s of 1,000’s of money spent, time wasted, embarrassment, lost friends, hanging with unhealthy people, and so much more. Mine was sitting at a stoplight on Jan 3rd, 2009 around 10am and realizing something very important….that if I didn’t change that I would be older going through the same shitty existence, only change would be my age. So, I decided to quit drinking and using drugs. I got my ass to some meetings, got a psychiatrist for mental health meds to help me w depression, and ditched all the enablers and generally shitty people in life. It sucked….I lost people who I had been friends with for decades, great people….just not good for me. It hurt because I had to change, I wanted to change.

About this Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt

I was extremely lucky…I didn’t hurt myself or anyone else. Despite it all I held on to a career and was fairly productive….by luck and some great people I kept in life. There were a lot of people like me just pushing the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this boundaries a little more each day…some who pushed too much and died. :/ Your bottom may be different. Your bottom could be jail, institution of some sort, death, or ??? No matter what your bottom realize, there is a way up and out. You may go to a meeting and hear about something devastating that you cannot even imagine and be tempted to pass judgement, don’t! We all have bottoms which are significant enough for us to warrant reaching out and getting the help we need. There are a lot of addicts or alcoholics who never recover and live miserable lives…..people who never make it to a 12-step meeting or never admit to themselves there is an issue.
12-step meetings aren’t for everyone. I couldn’t stand them at first but used them for what I needed to hear and learn about myself. They helped me stay clean and for that I am oh so grateful. I don’t go anymore as I feel recovered to a degree at least one where I am more at peace. You might use again after a period of clean time. I’ve done it a few times but I know enough to be around people who love me and don’t get into trouble. I do want to congratulate you. Reaching out is the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this first step on the road to recovery. It is possible to live a healthy and productive life. It is possible to wake up in a fresh clean bed and feel good about yourself. It is possible to start living the life you have always wanted ….give that to yourself! Just know that I’m thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way….that I’m keeping you in mind when I want to use again…that this too shall pass
You’ll just have to wait until you ruin your life enough that you REALLY WANT TO STOP. After I killed that guy in the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this bar and my son was born I knew I had to stop. First you have to admit to yourself that you are an alcoholic. Contact alcoholics anonymous. Also look at Andys Man Club My dad drinks every single day with his wife. Wo does his friends. Their all alcoholics. U drink they drink and I smoke every single day. Everyone picks a poison even if their “sober” and it’s not abnormal for working people to want to use the later hrs after work to unwind especially if your job is physically demanding. My dad who drinks everyday has become a professional. He knows how to drink right, and it certainly isn’t beer. Beer is good for when u visit your friends house and want to drink but also have to drive. U have a few, have a good time, sober up a lil and your good to go.
Beer isn’t supposed to be consumed anymore than 8 at a time and that’s like maximum for all sized people in my opinion. 2- eat dinner, and a healthy one. Not 2 big Mack’s and some chips but rather some vegetables, and meat with variety of spices. Eating healthy will fill your body with vitamins and nutrients that will fight off the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this poison as well as dilute it. Don’t forget to drink a lot of water. 3- possibly the most important thing that I came here to say- stop drinking beer without stopping alcohol. Obviously if U can quit or cut back then do it but if u can’t or won’t then change it from beer to something healthier like seltzers. If drinking “makes life bearable” then I’d say the alcoholism is a secondary issue. There’s something you’re trying to get away from by drinking. Numbing emotional pain is the usual reason.
Take up weight lifting. Seriously. Work on your body for good. Eat right, sleep way better, look good naked. It’s a great thing to focus on while you remove the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this habit. Learn to want to eat delicious calories instead of just drinking to put on fat, ruin your arteries, heart, stomach, and liver and eventually die a pretty gruesome death. My step-dad was a highly functional alcoholic and his health tanked to the point that his body wouldn’t survive cancer treatment and died a shifty death. I could have ended up the same way, but chose to become a fitness buff instead.it takes a while, but it is so worth it. So I know this is gonna sound like terrible advice, but try trading out weed for alcohol and starting there. If you want life to be bearable…
Your GP can prescribe medication that will make you physically sick if you drink. It will stop being fun pretty quickly. Drinking that much is alcoholism. It would be worth looking into therapy for substance abuse and whatever emotional baggage is contributing towards unhealthy coping mechanisms. Family and police a small city no chance in hell listen to me government polices no doctors false prophecies no hope no escape lets make this quick ill pick up the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this pail wile u shake the tail this fucking sucks the police are the cucks i fuck and suck the pigs just pass the buck and me around i.hope.nobody’s laughing cause this aint funny more cops die by suicide and the service revolver alcoholism or a jolted lover im just here to say fuck you all ill stand tall and tell the tale i grew one plant its was only a male they took me to the town square and kicked my door in stold my old ladys underware and sold em the cops are junkies too there pants they soiled em they stold the dope and covered the warts in oil saved some for grandmas boil they dont care its not my kid smoking off the foil but ill sit back and ill watch hold a grudge so long whats a swatch tony scareface the clock who do i need me thats who ill wait till your old and gray and ill step on your nutts just for the fun of it the citys run by crooks its no secret sniffers row i got my meat out and im beatting it fbook the governments creeping it all the junkie sell crack and pussie through it wanna find out pay suckerberg the fee hes a fucking alien his blood green he hails from neptune my brothers deck was dune with the black candy 2 cents on it what about racism sexism and vandalism im that asshole of a conservative officer my names chismSwitch to cannabis. Or die early your choice.
Get yourself checked in at a mental health clinic, preferably one that specialises in addictions (rehab clinic). Let them know you can’t be trusted and you’d lke to be hospitalised in a closed/locked ward. That’ll force you to stop drinking while you get the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this therapy. Hospitalisation usually lasts 6-8 weeks and can be extended. 12 beers and “it’s making life bearable”… Those are signs of being an alcoholic. Go and get professional help. Also try to find a distraction. Something else you can spend money on that’s much healthier and helps you to keep your mental health up instead of drugs. My 34 year old brother in law died in front of me from cirrhosis, less than 6 months ago. If you would like to know what that looks, sounds and smells like, I’m willing to get graphic with you. Please get some help.
Aren’t you bored of it? But, also, there’s the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this physical addiction to take into account. Hope you can pull up, flyboy. Working on himself. Get some therapy. Learn to love life and love yourself- it is the first step to WANT to heal. Why would you want to help someone you hate ? It’s going to be a long road – one reddit people cannot easily accompany you through. But for the love of god, find some help. If you need a deadline, I’m sure someone can give you one in the replies. Well it will eventually take over and ruin your life and your health. If you want to burn your lif to the ground you’re on the right track. With the amount of money I imagine you’re spending, you could have one hell of a gym / health club membership. You could get fucking ripped, and get some massages to keep your stress down. You’re going to need a chemical crutch anyway after that level of drinking, and it might as well be the endorphins from exercise. You could also occupy your mind with learning something new, like a musical instrument or a language. Or take a higher education course. You won’t have the time to drink. I agree that there’s a lot of great stuff you could be enjoying now and in the longer term by reducing alcohol. Start by reducing to see if you feel it yourself. if you power through a week of reduced intake, you win. You may start feeling benefits you didn’t get or understand fully
Drinking dulls inhibitions and pain. So for some, without alcohol, they may benefit from something that fills the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this gap. You could look into things that can help with that. A therapist may help, and/or way more sleep, aggressive exercise (kickboxing, 2 hr gym sessions, long endurance runs/cycling, meditation, power yoga) Remember its not all or nothing. Reduction is also good. Just keep at it for the sake of your longterm health and longevity. Don’t give up if you’re not perfect at it Start with cutting out one day a week, or reducing the amount to 10 per day for a week and start building lower and lower. Im a daily drinker too, but mines vodka, tryin to make a change this yr tho, been to counselling and tried cbt stuff, didnt help, so this time ive brought a shit load of lego, a new calendar n some gold stars, if i go 24 hrs without a drink a gold star goes up, had 2 so far this yr n hoping for a 3rd this week, the lego is to keep me distracted on no drink days, just be patient with yourself, Rome wasnt built in a day, but youve got to find a reason and a way to change, motivations always been one of the hardest things for me
I don’t even know how that’s possible. I get full after 2. Address whatever sucks about your life that leads you to want to drink. Productive happy people don’t have time to drink. You don’t have to quit drinking. Any reduction in drinking is associated with better health outcomes over time. If you average 12 beers, try to get down to 10. Then dial it back to 8. Every other day try to have 6. Combine that with just walking a couple miles around your neighborhood & boozing is a reward after walking. See if you can walk further every couple of days. If you don’t smoke you can try jogging those routes round your neighborhood & drink as a reward afterward. I have a drinking problem but I’ve found that exercising can help satisfy the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this craving. Don’t just try to stop boozing though! I think only people who don’t understand it would recommend that.
First you need to accept that your desire to drink is never going away. But, given time, living with that desire is going to be easier. The first few times I stopped smoking I failed because I felt horrible. I only succeeded when I was ready to accept that feeling horrible for extended amounts of time was going to be part of the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this journey. I cried. I was angry. I didn’t sleep. After 6 months I still hated not smoking with every fiber of my being. People asked me if I was proud, but I wasn’t. I was absolutely hating it. But I didn’t pick up smoking because I knew those feelings were not mine. It was my addiction screaming into my ear 24/7 that I needed to go back asap. The addiction is still there, a year later. When I see people smoking it says “damn, doesn’t that shit smell good?”. But that voice has lost much of its power, so it’s easier to say no. I don’t have to literally run-walk away from smokers anymore, and finally I can feel pride that I stopped. But I’m sure that addiction will stay with me for the rest of my life. And that’s fine, because I know I can live with it. Stopping isn’t about wanting to stop. It’s about accepting that you’ll never stop wanting. I don’t know you but from your post and the comments you’ve left you sound like a lovely person. I’m sorry life has been hard on you. I believe you have it in you to make yourself good again. Of course nobody wants to give up things that make us feel good. Why would we?? But alcohol is not your friend. Hey pick things that are your friend. That make you feel cared for. The simple things. Find that love for yourself because I can feel it from here it’s right there x I don’t know you but from your post and the comments you’ve left you sound like a lovely person. I’m sorry life has been hard on you. I believe you have it in you to make yourself good again. Of course nobody wants to give up things that make us feel good. Why would we?? I know this is probably random, but get something like an Oura ring. I see SO many posts on that subreddit about people quitting drinking altogether when they got the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this ring coz they can physically see the significant negative impact on their heart, sleep etc The only thing that helped me quit was intense therapy and Zoloft. Before that I had tried to quit so many times on my own but would always relapse. Going on 4 years sober. It is possible I promise. Drinking that much is a bandaid for a larger problem. Seek help for the root of your drinking and then you should be more able to stop. My roommate use to drink a 12 pack a day , he died last year at 42 years old. I remember thinking it wasnt even a big deal because 12 didnt seem like that many nor did he get shit faced. So ya, not dying is probably the best answer to this. RIP Tony
I live today without a father due to the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this same behavior you describe. My life would’ve had a decent amount of stability. Just as of today I am threatened with homelessness. He died a year before I could’ve started working with him and actually forming a real relationship. I try to ignore the shockwave his death caused but I essentially lost it all and watched the man die in my childhood home as he knew it was coming. It ruined his life and broke mine into pieces. Please figure things out for yourself, I beg you. Find other things to do, in the evenings go to the gym or go swimming. When you come home you’re tired and it’s bed time. Just don’t drink on school nights and drink on a Friday and Saturday. Once you master that you can then work on only drinking one day a week like either the Friday or Saturday.
If you’re not ready to quit, but are concerned, take some control of the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this situation. Tomorrow, only drink 11. Baby steps. The self gratification of your accomplishments may lead you to only 10 a few days later, or even a month, but keep trying. Good luck. Find a substitution for the beers like sparkling water or low alcohol/ no alcohol beers. Drink a beer, drink a sparkling water. Orrrr set a daily limit. You may bot be an alcoholic…yet. “Drinking makes life bearable” sounds like you’re using drinking as escapism. If you think you need to stop. You need to stop. The longer you live like this, the harder it will be to stop. Does recovery fix all of life’s problems? No, but it makes them easier to deal with. The whole I really want to stop, but I like drinking is your addiction telling you to keep going. Addiction will gaslight you into believing that the high is what you need even though it is fucking up your life.
Get help now. Go to an AA meeting. You don’t need to introduce yourself or share. Just go and listen, and you will hear someone tell your story without ever meeting them. Instead of drinking 12 beers everyday try drinking 84 beers in just one day, freeing up the Have you talked to God lately he’d love to hear from you shirt and I love this rest of your week to be sober and productive.
