I knew it was fake because I didn’t contact the host outside of the stupid platform. Within the text messages the host impersonated me threatening to leave a bad review if I was not given full refund. “Acute ethanol intoxication” sadly does not fall under that category – we’re talking about something that would probably appear on their medical records such as hoarder syndrome or disability. I’d ask for photos and videos describing the issue. If the situation is covered by AirCover for Guests regarding cleanliness, accuracy or amenity issues, then I let them know about their options, and if they want to leave I suggest them to start looking for places while I handle things on my end. If they still need help, I’ll gladly hunt for other places with them once I’ve finished issuing the corresponding refund.
