I’ll never understand how this issue causes people to go into pure black and white, binary thinking. Like people treat the 40 work week as if it’s a law of the universe or something and not a concession that a lot of workers died for. Not to even get into other atrocious work conditions people have to suffer through. Just because that’s the way it works now doesn’t mean it always has to be that way. It’s just so disheartening how many people seem to think it’s wrong to want the world to be a better place or to want a future where everyone’s life is easier and more fair.

People are overworked. People are underpaid. They are desperate for decent employees.
