Seriously, the Halloween Teacher I Teach Cutest Pumpkins 5th Grade T-Shirt besides I will buy this days I do go into the office 35% of the time I’m stuck overhearing peoples conversations. That’s supposed to help productivity? The environment is far from a library To go to my office, I have to wake up at 5am, drive 1.5 – 2 hours on roads with horrible traffic because there’s no reliable public transport in my country, and then not actually get any work done because I’m constantly being called to useless meetings and idle chit chat from colleagues, and then drive another 1.5 – 2 hours in traffic again to get back home. When working from home, I get more sleep, less distractions, I’m not exhausted from soul crushing traffic, not to mention the 3-4 hours I get back a day from not having to commute, I save money on food and fuel… I can’t see how anyone wouldn’t be productive? I get some people don’t have the luxury that I do to work from home, but it’s very obvious that certain jobs DON’T need to be done in offices, and that employers that are forcing it on their employees are total douches.

Who are they supposed to micromanage now? It never matters how much we prove that work is better from home. Companies, and bosses don’t care because they’d rather keep a thumb on you than you be more productive at work it’s got nothing to do with productivity. It’s 100% control. It’s about the starbucks you buy on the way to work. It’s about McDonalds going bankrupt if you aren’t forced to buy their food because you’re too exhausted to try anymore. Corporations know this, but lobbying by large industries like vehicle and commercial real estate have to justify all their production somehow. If people don’t have to commute and sit in giant concrete bee hives all fucking day, they lose a ton of money. The old ways are dead. Let them die. I was forced to go back 3 says a week and let me tell you, they’re the worst days for me and productivity. I accomplished so little in the office compared to my home. This is not true at all, we have junior animators working from home who cannot peform well because in studio they can just turn to their side to ask someone for help, but now they have to do it over video call, and theyre too shy to constantly be asking people for video calls, whereas before they literally could just tap their neighbor on their shoulder and ask them a question, the numbers dont lie either, the quality of their work and the output of the whole studio has went down
