Assistant to the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this Principal Accountant vs AP clerk. But 15 years experience as an AP clerk. Being a bookkeeper would be beyond their skill level but if the university was accredited they could sit for the CPA exam. Not in Canada. You get 3 chances at the college I’m at. Apparently it’s got to do with cultural differences or some such BS. College vs University. Colleges in Canada have become diploma mills with no integrity. A violation like this is grounds for expulsion at most Canadian universities. Also, there’s a good chance the person you replied to, a frequent poster on the hate sub r/canada_sub, doesn’t even go to college and is just trying to stir shit up with his “cultural differences” remark.

I know for my associates degree they gave student three chances. Thank goodness I was homeschooled and got flagged on the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this first paper I wrote due to not listing sources and doing the basics of what you need to do for an academic essay. Pretty sure my professor felt bad once she realized my mistake was due to ignorance and lack of education. People not citing correctly or otherwise plagiarizing without intentionally cheating is extremely common. It’s normal to make a bit of a fuss over it (but not too much) so the student knows it’s a big deal and they really need to be careful in the future. Many, many, many moons ago , I made this mistake. This was back when papers were typewritten, so fixing errors was not easy. Also I procrastinated and was in a rush. I had copious endnotes and a complete bibliography, but I missed 2 or 3 citations. Had to take a 0 on the paper and was threatened with university review, (that didn’t happen). I was much, much more careful – sadly it didn’t stop my procrastinating. I remember the first time I wrote a paper on a word processor (WordStar, for you other relics – my friend had purchased a computer, but I still needed to print it at the computer library from a floppy). What a game changer. Shame I only had 2 or 3 papers left that year.
keep it very vague and ambiguous so any cheater in the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this whole class could believe it could be them.. and see like a third of the class respond with “give them a B minus!” When I was in college we had a take-home exam in one of my classes. It was made very clear to us that this was NOT to be a group effort and everyone was required to complete it in our own. When the professor returned the exams he stated that he knew several students had cheated and worked together. Then he told us that we (the class) needed to come up with a punishment and left the classroom. It sucked because it put the honest students in a very uncomfortable position of having to come up with a consequence for our classmates. So of course they were let off easy because the professor didn’t want to do his job. They “had” (got) to retake the exam.

Where to buy this Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt
The idea that anyone would write a masters/PhD level paper for money, or even could, kind of boggles my mind. Wouldn’t you have to be an experienced expert in the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this subject? Really it depends; you can just find the relevant research and paraphrase with citations and references and get a good mark as long as you used some critical thinking and used reputable sources. A non-expert wouldn’t understand the field well enough to know what the relevant research was, or understand it well enough to paraphrase it. They might either have access to pirated books from the courses, or have an AI language model write the base and then check their work and rewrite it. Edit: I also checked their submission form and you have to be super specific about what the essay is; like whether it’s a lab report, dissertation, thesis, and specific parts like dissertation conclusion or discussion can be specified. You can also decide the numbers of sources, the paper format (APA/Harvard/etc.), and upload additional materials, like a digital textbook. You can give the topic and any paper instructions for extra info. I’d imagine filling those out well and providing the right resources could result in a decent essay if the people have time to read the books or already have knowledge of this stuff. For a masters Thesis? Nope. PhD? Hm. Kinda. But if they‘ve got a PhD themselves it might work out. But idk if they‘d work for $22 a page. Like… the research takes up a lot of time
When I wrote a master’s thesis I had to be an expert on the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this subject. Our research was novel and in many ways our team members were the only experts on the exact material involved. I think there’s a huge gulf between the worst masters thesis that can get by and what most students would consider a good thesis. I would actually hazard a guess that between a bachelor’s, masters and PhD, the difference between the minimum pass and a good pass is probably biggest for a master’s. The worst masters candidate I passed presented what would be slightly above average for an undergraduate project, whereas the best probably would have earned a pass in a PhD defense. By the time you get to PhD the emphasis is on how novel your contributions are, often involving extensive data collection and lab work. We weren’t turning in fun little essays you could whip up in an afternoon.
Even with my masters thesis, I published two academic papers from it. If you could do research that well and quickly, surely you could find a better job..? I’m really curious how someone’s going to get a third party company to write a phd thesis? Don’t you have to defend it in front of a panel? Also aren’t you working with a professor the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this whole time who is reviewing and editing your work? If you’re thinking about hiring someone from a website for a phd paper, you should probably just drop of your program. Maybe if you get extremely lucky with your professor that’s true. Most don’t get that level of help. Professors do love to put their name on your work that they don’t even understand though.
Yeah— as dopey of a mistake as it was, sorry dawg, instant F-minus. Fuck around and do it again and we’re going to the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this office of academic integrity and I’m drumming you out of school. Holy shit, seriously in school if i missed a single citation i got a zero and a warning if i ever did it again it would go up to academic admin. This level of fuckery would be goodbye school School seems so odd now. “Okay little jimmeigh I know this entire paper is plagiarized, but you get two more chances where you might not get caught!” I used to teach a few lower level labs as a TA and adjunct. I don’t think people used to necessarily get tossed on the first offense back then, either. Possibly the second though.
I had a couple of students try to pull something like this on me when I was a college teacher. It was a coding group project, they downloaded the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this zip file from a tutorial and forwarded it to me, didn’t even try to change variable names or the comments in the code (which is what triggered my suspicion in the first place). I gave them a zero and didn’t say anything (expecting them to at least understand why they got a zero and not to try it again) and the smartasses emailed me with a sob story about not understanding why they got a zero, and how they worked so hard on the assignment… so not only did I tell them why they got a zero but I also forwarded the problem up the chain, which I wasn’t going to do if they had just taken the hint.
Ive had someone submit code to me years ago complete with comments containing the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this other students name and student number. FFS they had such a little idea that they couldnt even edit comments Oddly enough, I’ve worked with developers who couldn’t code for shit… but they were really good at asking questions on Stacktrace. Crowdsourced all of their code. (Then one of the senior devs got to poking thru the code, and tripped over a few comments with other people’s stacktrace contact info in them. HMMMM. Dev didn’t get fired, but he DID get demoted… to Ops Support.) We also had work contracted out to Company X, who did a lot of our onsite builds. About a month later, their sales reps came to us with a ‘custom solution’ for running a site, our people watched the powerpoint, and then broke out in laughter (or went into shock) when they saw OUR coding guru’s name listed in the code examples. They were trying to sell our work (that they’d helped install) back to us as their own! Needless to say, we didn’t take them up on the offer. Instead we called Legal and sued them for mis-appropriation of proprietary work. They lost. Moral of the tale: if you copy and paste anything from the Telephone Company… don’t try and sell it back to the Telephone Company as your own work. They have lawyers and deep pockets. You don’t.
It took me a minute to realize what I was looking at. Personally, I’d wouldn’t even reply. I would simply forward it to whoever handles plagiarism cases and CC them. it seems like the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this student has paid a service for some company to do the essay in its place. I’m not sure about the “plagiarism” thing mentioned tho The essay service emailed the student the essay and the student didn’t bother to save the attachment and send a separate email to the professor. They just forwarded the original email from the service with the file attached. Likely a tool they use to avoid plagiarism detection. They probably run the same tool the prof uses to detect plagiarism and gives the student the readout on the paper they write
They hired a service to write their essay. When the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this service sent them the completed essay, they just forwarded that email to their professor with added body text asking for it to be graded. Image #2 is the email in image #1 with the three dots at the bottom of the email clicked on to expand the entire email thread. The student has paid for an essay writing service, that’s customer service sending the essay along with a plagiarism report to prove its unique and won’t flag a checker I once wrote an essay basically copied from a wikipedia article about the French Revolution. Right before I went to print it (good ol days), I realised my lecturer submit the article to wikipedia. That would have been very embarrassing as he marked it Edit: Just went and had a look, its 20yrs ago but its still there, as soon as I saw the name I remembered, legend
back in my college days I had a professor that was arguing for wikipedia being a citeable source, since back then anything on the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this Internet was considered a “lie” or “opinion” since it was on paper (unlike now, where the Internet is a source of unstoppable truth… clears throat anxiously ). So when it came time for essays (Western Civ I), which were frequent, he encouraged us to use Wikipedia. Also, since it’s inception, this guys has been contributing daily to every wiki he had in depth knowledge, which was, of course, the stories we had to read. there were a lot of angry plagiarists that were too lazy to rewrite a copy/pasted sentence. Funny enough, my ochem prof said that any wiki entry about chemistry is going to be damn near 100% accurate because PhD candidates that hadn’t successfully defended their dissertation yet meticulously pore over entries relating to their field correcting and updating entries. No idea how true that actually is, but he was often on dissertation panels so I’m assuming he wasn’t lying
There are hoards of obsessive phd students in science and engineering that will absolutely not let something wrong pop up on their subjects Wikipedia page. Kind of like a beaver hearing flowing water. Shit, I’m just a regular person and I’ve gotten a good 50 edits in Wikipedia without a single revert because I’m correcting minor shit I keep finding there that’s wrong. I would expect this to be true of most hard sciences, math and other subjects where you don’t need a ton of investigation to give a definitive answer on what is and is not correct. Get into anything in the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this humanities though… good luck. A friend of mine is a teacher and learned that his master’s thesis was heavily cited in a Wikipedia article when a student copied a huge section of it and didn’t catch the citations
That’s funny, cause a girl in my university class did almost that exact thing and got rightfully reamed for it. I was a notetaker for my uni’s office for students with disabilities, so I took notes for people who couldn’t for whatever reason. I type fast so I can transcribe lectures. One of my users tried begging me to SEND HER MY PAPER so she could “have it for reference” like 2 days before the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this due date. Obv I said hell no, I ain’t risking my academic career for you bitch! So instead she copy pasted my lecture transcripts and submitted them She submitted the professor’s own words back to her. During COVID. When all lectures were recorded and posted online. I have students doing project-based learning in ELA by becoming contributors to Wikipedia on any topic they choose, and documenting their journey, including if their entry gets deleted. (There has been some upset over this already haha)
Wikipedia may have been the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this wild west back in the day but nowadays their peer editing is very stringent. I tell my students that Wikipedia is a perfectly decent place to start but not to stop there, but chase down all the sources and links cited at the end of each page. Depending on where you teach, you maybe be obligated to report any instances of academic dishonesty. This would be a very serious issue which may result in expulsion or at least probation for the student. It’s important to report this stuff so they can’t pull the same shit on the next instructor, and also so all their other work can be examined. If the student had been intelligent about it, they would have downloaded the paper to a hard drive, copied the work to a new file as plain text, then pasted it over, edited it themselves for formatting and grammar, created a whole new document with clean metadata, saved to PDF with their own signatures after double checking for any data tags in the content, and then submitted as an original.
I can salute their usage of available tools to create a work as well as utilizing a solid method that is currently proceeding to enable fast production of information above what humans can output on their own. I can also mark them below zero for violating academic honesty standards AND for not being smart enough to pay attention to the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this very basic protocols of document metadata. Like for real, if you’re going to copy someone else’s answers make sure it’s in your own fucking handwriting and don’t just submit the paper that you bought from the nerd in the class before you with their name on it. They didn’t even bother to look at it! They just forwarded it! What you said makes the most sense, but they didn’t even do the bare minimum!
Print off a copy. Reword and retype it from scratch. There’s more to worry about than metadata. You also want to avoid the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this risk that sections were copied directly from sources that it could be compared to. And avoid the risk of having to answer follow up questions without knowing what you submitted in the first place. …utilizing a solid method that is currently proceeding to enable fast production of information above what humans can output on their own. Do people just not know about running things through notepad? Even if you never cheat surely you need to strip formatting sometimes for legitimate reasons. Give them full marks, then revise their result to 0, attaching the forwarded email as grounds for revision a week later. Remind me of the time I sent my IA project to a friend that was stuck (IT study) so he could look how I did a particular part (It was kinda stupid of me to sent the entire project yep but was busy helping a lot of people and doing mine at the same time x) ) He had the brilliant idea to directly send my project to the professor instead of finishing his… Could have been fine IT project look alike after all… but maybe it would have work better if he didn’t kept my surname and name and classe on the files names (We usually names our project Name_Surname_classes.projectName.whateverExtension)
Here’s your comment OP where you are even recommending to someone such site that writes essays for you. JMGPuDcKHF Student used an essay writing service for an assignment and then was just a) so lazy, b) so stupid, c) had zero f***s to give, or some combination of those three, and just forwarded the Gnome Peace yeah I’ve got OCD old cranky and dangerous shirt in addition I really love this whole essay on to their professor instead of downloading it, doing whatever edits needed and then sending it to professor in a new email. 0 + academic discipline, not only they cheated but they were stupid about it. Didn’t take the effort to do the assignment or even to cheat correctly. It looks like this student paid an essay writing service to write a paper. Then, instead of downloading the paper to their own computer and making any needed edits to make it NOT look like that’s exactly what they did, they just forwarded the whole email chain on to their professor…from their iphone, to boot.
