My friend lost her father recently. After her father’s death she got a job to help with finances. Her mother has been asking her to get married (she’s 22) as it is her ‘responsiblity’. I left the house, found a job, lived my way and married when I wanted to. Her mother is being mean and unfair. I have been through same shit , was pestered for 10 years , got marrried at 32 . By that time a few men would judge me for being older and unmarried(them being older than I was) but a few would appreciate the kind of financially independent, fun, creative,with a progressive career of my own.
