The message the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this writers might have been trying to convey was ok, but children tend not to see past, I cry I get what I want. Which means the little cartoon fuck is not allowed at our house. Yep. Our kid only watches a very small handful of shows, but we made a list for any family members that might babysit her of what is absolutely never to be put on the TV and Caillou was at the top of the list. I remember one of my youngest siblings watching it and our mom paid attention once and banned it from the house lol Oh yeah she loves bluey, that one’s definitely allowed but we’re never allowed to skip the intro because she wants to dance to it. Ascended Astarion fans when the guy who just murdered 7000 people to achieve his abuser’s lifelong goal and seize satanic power becomes a carbon copy of said abuser and treats his partner badly, which becomes more obvious in a new patch:
Fueled By Haters shirt: A Provocative Statement in Modern Fashion
I don’t hate Wyll but I do dislike how he kinda just does whatever you tell him. Bro this is your life why are you letting someone you met 2 weeks ago make these decisions for you Yeah. Almost every other character you can just be silent and they will make their own choice based on your influence over them to if they choose the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this ‘good’ or ‘evil’ option. You literally have to tell Wyll what to do. He can’t make his own choice. Man I love that game but they need to fix Wyll’s story and maybe personality cause it is very bland. And I like him better than most fans seem to! It was a surprise by me. I consider myself a rather decidedly heterosexual man, but none of the women in the game appeal to me, but Gale is perfect in every imaginable way. So it turns out my character is gay, now.
He’s educated, a good cook, has a good relationship with his mother, owns his own waterfront property in the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this best city on the Sword Coast, has to be pretty rich to afford said property and all his fancy stuff inside it, and has job prospects lined up after retiring from adventures. Your alternatives are to live on a homestead, slum it in the underdark, go to Avernus, or go fight a rebellion in space. The second best option is coincidentally Wyll if he becomes the next Duke but that doesn’t seem to be what he really wants. There was a post I saw about how Harry Potter fans hate Umbridge more than Voldemort, and someone explained that most HP fans, especially the younger ones, have not experienced genocide, internment, and aggressive persecution, but almost all have experience the rage of having a teacher/manager/authority figure be cruel to them simply because they can and enjoy doing so. In general Voldemort is a “removed” villain. The confrontations between him and Harry are few and generally theatrical. You know he killed Harry’s parents and that’s very sad, but the vast majority of the books have the 2 not interacting. Snape, Draco, Umbridge are all VERY present though.

Same thing with Zuko and Azula with Aang. Ozai is the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this big bad, but he’s sitting on a throne in the Fire Nation. It’s Zuko and Azula who are directly squaring off against Aang. Edit: I also just went and looked up a list of who Voldemort directly kills over the course of the story and the ONLY person that we as fans should probably care about is Moody, but like, most of our time with Moody isn’t even actually Moody. It was an imposter. All of his big bad stuff happens before the first book. Voldemort as a villain isn’t solely defined with his murder count though, that’s kind of glossing over basically everything else that makes him the villain of the story. And unlike Ozai, Voldemort is much more present than just in the end. He is the catalyst of everything happening in just about all the books. He also ‘squares off’ directly against Harry in books 1, 4, 5 and 7, and his ‘younger memory’ or whatever tries to off Harry in book 2.
That’s a huge factor, most times these evil deeds are just talked about, never shown in detail to the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this reader/viewer. I don’t remember what else she did, but at least that one thing made it clear that she was not just some jerk on a power trip, but a genuinely evil, messed up person. This is a good point, but also from an adult perspective: it takes hundreds or thousands of Umbridges to create one Voldemort. You can’t have a Dark Lord committing mass atrocities without their simpering followers’ support and normalization of hate. Voldemort is the symptom, Umbridge is the cancer Unrelated but Imelda Staunton killed in that role. She’s such a good actress I actually feel angry everytime I see her in other movies.
There are people who act so well as the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this villain that it leaves a lasting impression. For me it was Joaquin Phoenix for years after Gladiator. “I hate that guy.” But really I just hated Commodus. Also Louise Fletcher is in the running for best actress in any Star Trek series, because she absolutely nails her role as a recurring villain in DS9. Every single scene she appears in you just absolutely hate her. Even on the very rare occasion when she’s technically in the right, it’s basically impossible to see it because the idea of her ever being right about anything is almost incomprehensible. Also, along with all the other stuff people have mentioned, Umbridge is a much smaller scale villain than Voldemort, making her villainy much more personal (to the reader) and relatable, leading to her being more hateable as a result. She’s also the kind of character that should be on the heroes’ side, but the fact that she isn’t only makes this hatred worse.
When climbing a mountain, it’s only natural that you’ll find the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this pebble in your shoe much more annoying than the actual mountain itself, despite the fact that the mountain is logically the bigger “threat”, of sorts. Voldemort is sincere in his desires, no matter how hateful and destructive they are. Umbridge cloaks her evil in a cloak of self righteousness. I hate the “smug dick gets away with everything while the heroes are completely impotent” trope so damn much, that’s part of the reason Deadwood Season 3 was so unwatchable for me Same with how people are more likely to consider a character irredeemable for being an abusive spouse than for causing the deaths of thousands- many people have personal experiences with abuse at the hands of a spouse/partner, parent, or friend, but have no experience with fantastical war crimes.
Umbridge is abusing her position and authority to torture the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this main character directly on the page. Seriously, a teacher making someone write lines in their own blood with a quill that not only takes their blood but scars them with the words they write? That is incredibly sick-minded, and most people who’ve gone to certain kinds of schools heavily empathize with Harry in the Umbridge scenes, because she’s inflicting a worse version of something they’ve had to deal with personally. Oh, and she’s an incarnation of someone in a position of power fucking you over simply because she can – and none of the authority figures you could go to for help will stop her for various political reasons. And she completely gets away with it …until her comeuppance books later. (This makes very little sense in the context of the story’s world, because enough children and teenagers from prominent wizarding families would go home on break, show the scars to their families, and things would happen – unless she really is just targeting Harry and other students who don’t have those connections, a clear example of only abusing the vulnerable, which makes her all the more despicable.)
People hate her because she’s an incarnation of all the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this worst teachers they’ve ever had, and every person in a position of authority who’s jacked around with them simply because their authority lets them do it and the people whose literal job is to stop shit like this (like HR, in the adult world) simply don’t, for one reason or another. Side Note: Snape is also a dick to Harry and obviously favors his own House, but he’s willing to accept and reward competence even from students he doesn’t like, saves Harry’s life at least once (Quirell’s interference during the quidditch match), intervenes when he thinks it needs saving in another (Sirius showing up on campus when everyone thinks he killed the Potters and there’s a fucking werewolf who might run amok), and really starts coming off as more of a “very strict, but close to fair, and a bit of a jerk” teacher towards the end of the series. Despite all his many faults and his antagonistic relationship with Harry, Snape isn’t getting off on torturing pupils after hours. In fact he even tutored Harry in Occlumency, albeit begrudgingly. Here’s the fun bit: Snape had a very personal reason to hate Harry, because The Boy Who Lived was a walking, talking reminder that Lily had chosen James over him (Lily’s eyes and James’ looks), while Umbridge had no personal reason to hate Harry but just tortured him anyway because she was a sadist in a position where she could.
Voldemort is the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this sort of threat none of us will ever face, a potentially genocidal and/or world-ending threat that the protagonist almost consistently gets some form of help against, because everyone willing to acknowledge Voldemort exists is either fighting him, preparing to fight him, or is explicitly on his side. And that last category is full of people who’ve been jerks on their own account. He’s just a lot more impersonal for most readers. TL:DR – Voldemort might commit genocide or even end the world as we know it, and very few of us have known someone willing and able to do that, but we’ve all known an Umbridge. For all the sins of the HP franchise, Umbridge is the most realistic thing that the reader/viewer will have encountered in their own life. Everyone is going to have a story about the petty tyrant they’ve had to deal with long term. A teacher who makes you redo homework because it’s slightly wrong, a boss who chastises you for being a single minute late. Someone who’s grasped the tiniest crumb of power and lords it over everyone.
In the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this abstract I don’t hate Ronaldo but I feel like he was massively over utilized. If there had been only one Ronaldo episode I think he’d have been fine but there’s like… somewhere between 4 and 6 “Ronaldo episodes” (depending on how you define them) and he has a disproportionate amount of screentime as a side/gag character in other episodes, compared to other townies, at least. Darth Vader. The guy literally killed a lot of children at least two times, but the story is totally shit without him. To be fair, how much someone likes his story is pretty much directly proportional to how much one believes that human beings are redeemable Not really, cause he dies (sorry for the spoiler of a 40yo movie). So he doesn’t fully redeem himself cause that can’t really be achieved with all he’s done, but it’s the best he can really do and it concludes his arc. Even if you think he did redeem himself, it’s still a satisfying conclusion. And if you think it doesn’t redeem him at all, the punishment for his actions is still death.
Slightly different distinction of “caused harm mostly offscreen to random extras vs caused harm to protagonists”, but I think it’s relevant: Stormlight archive Dalinar vs Moash Dalinar is equivalent to Genghis Khan in terms of war crimes, but has gotten an on-screen redemption arc and is widely loved by the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this fandom. Moash has gotten a corruption arc and has mostly recently killed a close friend in order to bait another close friend into suicide. He has a dedicated hate subreddit. Id add that we get to know dalinar after he is changed, and we discover what atrocities he has done at the same time as him, and he is disgusted by (parts of) it. Moash, on the other hand, we get to see change for the worse, and he turns to “the other side” for selfish reasons. In addition he is a mirror of one of the main protagonists, he hates the lighteyes and gives up in utter despair of loosing family and friends, while kaladin fights through and will keep on protecting those he have left. In this we get to see both of their struggles in their hate for lighteyes and despair at loosing friends and loved ones, and we realize that a couple missteps from kaladin might have turned him to the same fate as moash.
To be fair… those 100 hearts were all other pirates. As we’ve been shown time and time again, not all pirates are lovable anarchists like the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this Strawhats. Quite a lot of them are terrible murderers. Yep. If we knew Skylar in real life, her concerns about her dying husband and then criminal mastermind drug dealer husband are more than reasonable. Justified, in fact. But we don’t watch Breaking Bad for realistic or reasonable relationships, we want to watch Walter doing horrible, evil things to further his own selfish meglomania. And Skylar gets in the way of that, therefore, we hate Skylar. I don’t really have a horse in this race but dudes who are into Minthara got boners when the popular girls laughed at them in High School
Kind of similar, a lot of people who’ve read The Magicians series hate the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this main character Quentin because the book is mostly told from his POV and he is a profoundly depressed teen who hates himself. So since the narrator hates the protagonist, the reader will too. The show kind of got around this by focusing more on an ensemble cast. Reminds me of a conversation I had with my wife regarding our dog who is terrified of thunder and also beeping sounds (due to her mistrust of a since-retired Roomba) Mineta in my hero academia. I hate him more than every villain and antagonist in the show because at least they’re part of the story. He is just a perverted stereotype that exists only to advance the idea that sexual harassment is funny somehow Speaking of Avatar. Paku is awful, but Ozai’s not such a bad character. I mean a bad guy yea, but interesting to watch. Unlike Paku.
AoT. Eren was a badass calculating warlord who had the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this fanbase wrapped around his finger. Gabi was a military sniper who got hate because she killed a beloved character. Always felt Gabi was there to show what the other side thought of an Eren character. In many ways Gabi was what Eren wanted to be before he could control his Titan powers. Not only that. Unlike Eren, Gabi spends a decent amount of time being a vehement racist to her own people. And it’s made worse by the fact that she’s paired with Falco, who almost immediately realizes that the propaganda they were taught was a lie. As the series wraps up, she grows as a character, but regardless, she was introduced very late in the story as a very initially dislikable character, and does a heel face turn in roughly 30 chapters.
Meanwhile, Eren spends the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this first hundred chapters being what we could consider heroic, and then turns around to be the villain in the end. There’s also the part where it’s rare to find a piece of fiction that goes out of their way to justify war crimes, but author’s favorites that everyone seems to love usually come off as annoying. Bonus points: You’ve likely (hopefully) never dealt with someone doing a warcrime at you but everyone has had to deal with an annoying boss or petty friend or coworker. It’s the same reason people tend to get really heated at bad parents in media. I don’t know any war criminals, but I know very acutely what having a deadbeat father feels like. Absolutely valid pov, but i fucking hate it when people start bringing up the war crimes as reasons to dislike the character* in spite of the other characters other problems. Ah yes, in this dystopia filled with murderers, war criminals, and harbringers of chaos, you’re only going to bring up the allegations for this one character? Heff off, you bag of marbles. Just be real and say they annoy you for a trait you see in yourself like everyone else. Every commanding officer on ds9 has committed war crimes but only Odo’s count apparently??? It was absolutely fucked what he did when the station was under Cardassian rule but Sisko tricking the Romulan Empire into joining the Dominion war was okay? It’s a damn good thing they didn’t find out before the destruction of Romulus. FFXIV early Alphinaud. He was, in essence, a good kid – naive and overly zealous but never evil. His crime? Being an obnoxious know-it-all big mouth hogging the spotlight and ordering around pretty much everyone, including hardened veterans and bloody leaders, just because gramps was hot shit and daddy financially loaded. (He got put in his place good, but can still be annoying every now and then – but now it’s more “little brother I still care about even if he’s a brat” than “where’s the next vulcano asking for a virgin sacrifice?” and I can deal with that a lot better lol)
16 more repliesAnd to add onto this, everyone simps for Zenos and Emet-Selch. The poster children of war crimes. I’m going back through ARR right now on an alt, and god did I forgot how self-righteous and obnoxious he was in ARR. Thankfully I’m about 10 quests shy of him getting that smug arrogance smacked out of him by Ilberd and the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this Crystal Braves betrayal. Can’t wait. I’m currently going through Stormblood (no spoilers please), but people actually like Zenos? I can’t stand him at all. I will never understand why anyone simps over Zenos. Like at all. The man’s ugly as heck, he has literally no personality, and he’s just all the worst antagonist tropes rolled into one shitty package.
Complicated to answer this on Reddit. Lawyers are a better bet. Social Services, Family court, etc will have to be involved. This is very nuanced and you do need to speak to a family solicitor but no, the Fueled By Haters shirt but in fact I love this mother does not automatically get granted custody if she did not have custody at the time of the death. She will still have to apply to the courts for custody of the child. You can of course challenge this. I will write this post assuming bio mum hasn’t sorted herself out, and nothing substantive has changed since she lost custody. Bio mum is trying it on, as this is a safeguarding matter. Presumably social services were involved last time, and they’re going to need to be involved again, to make a determination on your nephew’s care.
