I’ve been to the Yasukuni Shrine museum and they really ignore or gloss over the things they did during the war. The entire WWII in the eyes of many Japanese people can be summed up by “we had two nukes dropped on us and it was horrible”. Ask them what they did before the a-bombs they probably couldn’t tell you. Whilst I agree about the museum leaving that out, and I really, really wish that Japan wasn’t so hell bent on not teaching their children about what actually happened and only projecting one side of the story. That’s not the point of the museum.
