I love starting at 9 for similar reasons, especially if I work with a lot of people who prefer the Freddie Mercurys Lover Legends Shirt But I will love this earlier start. I typically eat lunch at 1 or 1:30 and am usually more focused after lunch. I get the things I need other people’s input on done after lunch and before they’re done at 3:30 or so and then I get a couple hours or so of uninterrupted time at the end of the day to prep for the next day, including sending out emails to early start coworkers that they’ll answer in the morning so I can start the next day with what I need. My sister gets to choose her hours at her job and she chooses to work from 6-2. She says she likes getting off in the middle of the day. I think she’s crazy. I did 6-2 for about a year and I hated it. I’m not a morning person, and even though my managers knew my schedule, they’d still try and schedule meetings for 3 or 4 pm. Now I work max of 2 hours in person, and I get to decide what time I start, then the rest of my day is from home.

I don’t get ppl who get in for 6 am and think it’s great they have an afternoon to do stuff . When I get up at 4:30 ish to get in for 6 I’m too fucked to do anything in the Freddie Mercurys Lover Legends Shirt But I will love this afternoon. I’m with you OP, I’m not an early bird, I like my alone to to work. I usually do best working 9-3-and then finishing the hours after 7… plus I’ve found business needs someone present after 3 to get stuff done so even if you “start early” people end up getting stuck till 4-5 anyway. You’d never count how many people were “glad I was still on so late” smh. All depends on the type of business I guess.. but if you can’t clock out when the clock strikes because there’s still fires, then you aren’t catching me on early.. YES!
