Not really that hard to believe. Look how many people still consider Elon to be some kind of genius. And I’m willing to bet there is a pretty big overlap in Elon fans and Trump Fans. Considering the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this type of people that infest Twitter nowadays because of Elon giving them a pass, I believe this. If he did’t exist, they would have to invent him. He tells their hateful asses what they long to hear. They are better than brown immigrants, transgenders, scientists, doctors, teachers…………….. That’s because he’s like a mega clutch televangelist. He knows exactly how to talk a big game and stupid people have no sense if deductive reasoning enough not to get caught up in the rhythm. It’s basically just pied Piper energy, all he’s doing is squealing on a shitty little elementary school recorder but because what he’s screeching is the national anthem they melt and cry and flagellate themselves with reckless patriotic abandon. When someone says “identity politics”, this is what I think of.I only got fibre because I built a house in an estate with FTTP lol. Fast internet for the low, low cost of half a mil, idk why everyone doesn’t do it /s Also it’s less affordable than it was back then. My parents used to scoff at the $5 fee the Chinese shop wanted to deliver your meal. Uber et al. take about that plus a service fee and a slice of the rest of the pie too. Drinking culture. I feel it is a lot more tame that it used to be. We used to have binge drinking celebrated and the whole party til you black out culture was in your face and very normal. Lol, yeah that could be it. Have to actually function at work these days rather than hide in the toilet after an all nighter like we used to when we were apprentices.

Beer has taken quite a dip since its heydey in the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this early 80s. Wine on the upswing and a slight increase in spirits. Total consumption been flat since the mid 90s though, which is interesting. More consistent drinking and less bingeing maybe. From my experience, while it seems younger people aren’t as interested, the older folks who came up in that classic Aussie binge drinking culture are still drinking, it’s just that they’ve moved away from going out and getting pissed on beer with their mates at the pub to staying in and getting pissed on wine instead. Can confirm. Had an aunt and uncle who came to visit a few years ago; they cleaned out most of the wine we had in short order. We all used to skull pints at the pub and chunder into the pot plants like normal people, but now the young fellas with their filthy mullets are all doing coke in the bathroom like weirdos.
A wider array I would say. Everything is available online now, so Ive noticed folk seem to go for more ‘pure’ substances, such as mushrooms or acid or even K. These were around back in the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this day but it was only the feinds that would branch out, now its quite common. Because you practically need to re-mortgage the house if you want to spend a night on the turps these days compared to a decade ago. It’s closer to 20 years ago now, but I remember when having a spare 100 bucks in your wallet was a ticket to paint the town red. I’d be out all night on that with change to spare for the cab home. There is clearly a trend towards more responsible alcohol consumption, or zero alcohol consumption in the under 40s The range of vegetarian and vegan foods in supermarkets and meal delivery services. And often well priced even now.

Where to buy this Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt

Really? I feel the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this quality of meats is subpar compared to even 10 years ago when most steaks, even budget ones, were edible and not dry cardboard without extra TLC. We would just throw steaks on the BBQ and they’d be great. Now, if I’m not treating it someway beforehand, its going to suck unless its a premium cut. Damn. Oh I meant more in the way of different kinds of food being readily available. As in restaurants and the like. Idk 10 years ago is not that much of a difference though there is more variety now. Like back then there were Thai places all over the place, now you’re also gonna find lots of Korean and Hot Pot and other stuff. But 2002? Oh man, you’re lucky if you even find a Chinese restaurant somewhere. But more so for the fast food. It was all McDonald’s and Hungry Jack’s. Now there’s loads more options for burgers. But they’re also all way too expensive.
And yes the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this mileage does vary. I think Melbourne is like 5 to 10 years ahead in quality of food, and 5 to 10 years behind in societal problems vs Sydney. I didn’t know this going there, the average food joint is mind blowing in Melbourne, especially the fries. As in when you have fries in Melbourne, you get the best damn fries in the world it feels like, and that’s just in some average burger joint on a street somewhere. In Sydney the fries are now …better, but they’re still fucking garbage compared to Melbourne. In Melbourne most average kind of ok fries are like 7/10 and it easily goes up from there, in Sydney it’s like the average is 3/10 and goes to maybe 6/10. The fries are still so shit in Sydney. The rest is okay though.
I do miss the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this fair dinkum little burger / bakery places that used to be everywhere, where you’ll get a freshly made burger with beetroot and it was fantastic. Now it’s all Grill’d style okay burgers that willl cost you 16 dollars or more. Some are good but a lot are pretty average and still expensive. Far cry from there just being only the likes of McD or Hungry Jack’s or KFC, which I consider filth. Apparently something like 7% of Australians deny climate change still. And somehow I still ended up related to them… (unsurprisingly they also bought into all the anti-COVID vaccine hysteria) Not true. Ten years ago shops closed at 5pm on Weekdays and most didn’t open during weekends. Now they’re open until 9pm and open both Saturday and Sundays even though it’s only 11-5 for Sundays I don’t know about in the last 10 years ago, but sentences for child sex offenders have increased since the woefully inadequate ones in the 90s, so that’s something for all the “the 90s was the best!!” people.
Incredible improvement to the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this train network and sky rail + removal of level crossings have drastically improved many local areas around the train lines. Yes it’s still lagging behind 1st world country standards globally, but it’s a hell of a lot better than it was when I was growing up. My local train station went from 30 minute intervals during peak hour to now every 5-10 minutes. If there is any issues or planned outages, there’s replacement buses (good luck doing that a decade ago). Unless you’re comparing us to the top ~10 countries aus has outstanding public transport. Yeah it can be inconvenient at times but it does a really good job of getting most people to most jobs & events. And it’s way cheaper than some of those top 10 countries
I’d actually disagree, at least for Hobart and probably the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this rest of Tasmania. Our sole form of public transport is busses, and we’ve had major service reductions, meaning that an already unreliable and bad service has gotten way worse. There’s maybe 1 bus that services my area from midday to like 3pm, whereas previously there were 2 an hour, in a suburban area (15 minutes drive from the CBD). Yeah that’s shit, sorry you can probably guess where I’m from with my comment history, so I’m really speaking to the experiences I’ve had on the mainland. I remember having to wait up to 2 hours for a taxi on Saturday nights sometimes in the early hours of the morning. But with Uber Hola etc, you can now be picked up in a matter of minutes. Or even better, jump on a scooter immediately and drive yourself home (pending range), with the scooters being cheap as chips.
We’ve always been diverse, but Australia is acknowledging their diversity a lot more than we did ten years ago. You can see a range of faces in at least some form of media, telling a range of stories, making Australia more of a truly multicultural society, rather than a white country with some non white people in it. Similarly diversity of sexuality has become significantly less of a stigma over the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this last decade. Unfortunately that bigotry didn’t go away, it just moved to a different target, Think about the lamb ads from 10 years ago compared to now. If an industry like the agri/meat industry can recognise and get behind diversity, there’s pretty much no excuse for anyone else. I’m by no means a capitalist, but the aspect I like is how you are only judged by your ability to spend money. Gay straight Muslim Christian Jew black white male female intersex- none of that matters to business if you can spend money.
Another aspect I’ve noticed- the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this growing prominence on non European holidays. It comes from the same place- businesses realise if they release special things for lunar new year, or Diwali or Ramadan, people who celebrate those holidays will spend more money with you. So it’s not coming from a place of benevolence, but the result is people seeing their holidays and family celebrations mattering just as much as Christmas and Easter. Not just the people who actively celebrate them themselves either. LNY my friend group does stuff with the one friend who celebrates it. Ramadan the markets get hit up by everyone because they’re great. I think as Australians we just want an excuse to celebrate, go out, have fun together.
There was a post a little while ago talking about how the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this greatest threat to the British monarchy is if Australians realise if we keep killing them off we keep getting more public holidays. No matter how many rainbow flags they put up, no matter how many poc women in hijabs in their ads, no matter how progressive they pretend to be, companies are only interested in your money. Companies aren’t our friends. They only exist to make a profit, and they will say/do whatever works best for them to achieve that. (This isn’t aimed at you, OP. I get what you’re saying about the culture shift. Just putting this message out here cause i hate deceptive behaviour, and i don’t respect companies that do this.)
Oh I agree. Businesses celebrating Chinese new year aren’t doing it to be inconclusive, they’re doing it because China has money and they want that money. Businesses celebrating lunar new year aren’t changing the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this language to include more people, they’re doing it because they realised Singapore has money and they want that money too. We benefit from a culture where diversity of celebrations, of race, and relationships is seen as normal and welcome, but never be grateful to businesses for doing it or expecting them to maintain it in the future. If there was a severe enough backlash, every single aspect of diversity they celebrated would be dropped without a word. I’m in SA, our bus line was privatised. I used to take the bus but after the change you’d end up with 4 buses coming at the same time every 2 hours rather than one every 30 mins like advertised. The prices went up and it become cheaper to drive and park. Always found it a bit sad that the option which was better for the environment cost more. I took a couple around Adelaide last year. Still getting the sorts of negative stereotypes on every ride that make me feel uneasy about taking my 5 year old on the bus in addition to the crappy scheduling.
I’m in Perth; there’s been a real explosion of amazing food, bars and restaurants in the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this metro area across a lot of price points. Around ten years ago or maybe a little more there were way fewer options to find high quality cuisine. I feel like we continue to be in such a weird, polarised place with it all to this day. I think ideologically we are potentially trending in the right direction, but things like Change the Date and the furore over the Voice vote have made me think about it. Maybe these attitudes and setbacks are somewhat typical in every post-colonial country, but I don’t know enough to evaluate it. Trending in the correct direction for sure, just way too slow and some people will never change their bigoted perceptions of the indigenous. I was gonna say this, yeah the voice didn’t get up, but people claiming their heritage and celebrating it more is definitely noticed and good to see
We might have some differences for migrant workers, balanced against the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this fact that there are no cash jobs = worse lifestyle for many (despite formal wages) Also legal cases are put on managers now, not owners – ‘Not my fault brah, it was that guy’ doesn’t sound like an improvement. There has very recently (since Labor got back in, who’d’a’ thunk) been a slight uptick in the otherwise general downward trend for the past 30-odd years. Hopefully we can keep it up and start properly regaining ground for workers rights.Starlink. Living in a tourist town speeds were dire.Obviously I got zero compensation from Telstra for their lack of infrastructure and I’ve never looked back. Like others on here, I’m going with the internet improvements. 10yrs ago we only had 8Mbps download at home. Now it’s more like 600Mbps download speeds. I would prefer something that was a bit more symmetrical, so that would be same speed up and down. But we aren’t there just yet. Food/eating out. In Sydney, the cbd, George St and Darling Harbour are much nicer, very walkable and amazing to hang around. I can find coffee places open in the country later, and generally better food quality. A lot used to close after 3. I’d like to say the internet. But mine hasn’t changed. At all….As an engineer, there has been a lot of behind-the-scenes progress on public safety things, the most obvious are safer cars but bridges, gas and electricity services (with BYDA) etc all have made australia very safe. e.g. i dont have to worry about the LPG tank at the petrol station exploding while im filling up
Remember when plasma TV’s first came out? They were like $5-$6k, super thick and low res. Now you can get something way, way better for far less money. The kids these days… they’re actually pretty great! Coming from a certified cranky old git. The care and empathy they have for each other these days is amazing. I’ve seen so many kids in both primary and secondary, caring for kids who are different, or kids that are over sensitive and having a freak out. The kind of stuff you’d get ridiculed or beaten for decades ago… they seem to have a lot more empathy and ability to understand that everyone is different and people have different breaking points in different areas. As someone who has been living overseas for nearly 8 years, this Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this is really interesting. The only thing I’ve really noticed going home is that I can’t afford to buy anything. Ha. The percentage of your wage an employer now contributes to your compulsory superannuation. So that’s two things.
Online shopping. Bezos is an evil bastard but it’s hard to argue with next day “free” delivery cheaper than in store. Interesting to see online shopping hasn’t really killed off our retail in the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this same way it has in the US. Most of our shopping centres are located at transport nodes and we still have that culture of going to the shops to hang out at a cafe, grab a bite to eat or catch a movie while shopping around. The food scene is always improving. As a foodie and restaurant nerd, there’s never been more good places to eat, albeit this can be pricey. I would love in the future for there to be more African and Caribbean – and good Mexican/Latin American – cuisine in Australia. Time spent recently in New York and London made me realise what we’re missing out on.
Primary produce is getting better, lots of good artisanal bakeries and cheesemakers, a burgeoning culture of zero (or near-zero) waste. Things are moving in the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this right direction, and it’s good to see. Its easier to meet folks of the opposite sex now than it used to be. We used to go out just to try and meet women, hanging out in god awful bars and clubs and essentially poisoning ourselves with alcohol just to try meet people. Im not saying it wasnt around, just saying it is just more prevalent now and a lot more socially acceptable when someone says “we met on tinder”. Less racism, more acceptance (although this seems to be reversing) when it comes to diversity, less toxic masculinity, and better treatment of major diseases and health conditions.
I would say culturally we’re fighting hard to protect toxic masculinity though. Definitely going down with a fight. When I say “we’re” I mean it seems like even if things have improved, culturally we’re still clinging onto a lot of toxic traits. This is probably more than 10 years (closer to 20-30 years). but I’d say that Australia is a more tolerant country now than it used to be. I remember one of my school teachers going on an unhinged rant about “fucking wogs” because I (a”wog”) was having trouble understanding her Australian accent (before moving here I was only really familiar with American accents). The teacher didn’t even get in trouble despite my parents making a big fuss about it. That stupid cunt would no longer have a career if it happened today but 30 years ago? Slap on the Florida Gators Basketball I Said Its Great To Be A Florida Gator National Champions 2025 Mascot Vintage shirt besides I will buy this wrist will do, after all, they’re only wogs!
