Was a really good thing I did with parents and friends and friends parents, great atmosphere and the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this ‘exclusive’ escape to upstairs to chill Restaurant crawl. You do starter in one. Then main in next one and then dessert in another. It’s weird and fun. We’ve done it a couple of times and it’s always been a laugh. What are your interests? The zoo, the cinema, a theme park, a day at the beach, board games, DnD. There are many more options, how do you expect randos online to know what you’re into more than yourself.
Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt: Perfect for Fans
I’m currently in Bratislava for a week, but for the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this past few days I pretty much just want to stay in the studio I rented and not do anything. I don’t think it’s burnout since it’s just been a month since I arrived in Europe and went to beautiful places and still planning the next couple of months. But damn, travelling does make one tired. Right now I’m solo and have to work US hours so going out at night is pretty much a no no. But I’m not gonna lie that for example getting back home earlier yesterday and just play videogames in the evening or watch movies wasn’t something I really wanted to do. It’s also probably because Bratislava is really small and pretty much all the touristy sights can be done in a single morning (it only has around half a million people, my city back in Mexico has nearly 3 million people and my small hometown has half the population of Bratislava). How do you guys feel about staying inside or pretty much having a “Zero” couple of days where you try to have some semblance of normalcy while travelling? As a slow travel lover I loooove zero days, I have them even on short trips
This is actually 80% of how I prefer to spend my vacations. Yes, I’m one of those “do nothing in other places” people. Yup. I’ll try local cuisine if they have it, maybe hike one day then I’m satisfied with just chilling the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this rest of the time. Yeah once a trip starts getting longer than a couple weeks it becomes very important to have days like this. I have fond memories of some ‘rest days’ on a longer trip, like one day I just brought my laptop to a local library and hung around there for a few hours, and on some other days I just stayed in my accommodation and watched movies. my friend and i took a trip around europe for around 3 weeks. we got so tired that we ultimately decided to just pick a place and stay for a while. we ended up going to athens for the next 10ish days. once we got to our hotel room, we didn’t leave for 3 whole days. i do not regret it one bit. we needed the rest.

Step by step to buy Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt
This is me right now, since I arrived last month in London it’s been hectic, travelling to one place then another, not really having privacy in hostels, some of them being hit or miss, jampacking my days and getting to clock in at work afterwards it made me tired. I decided to pretty much take the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this week off (and Bratislava was a good place for it IMO, like I say it’s small, not too touristy and the apartment I got is very comfortable). So yeah, I need to recharge before I do the next leg of my travels going to Vienna, Budapest, Timisoara, Novi Sad, Sarajevo, Mostar and then meet my sister in Split. Once I’m there I might stay for a full month since it’s the beach and it will be the beginning of Spring (also not as expensive as Dubrovnik which I want to visit as well atleast for a weekend)
We don’t always realise how tired we are until we stop! Listen to your body and enjoy the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this rest, ready for more adventures I usually go to a coffee shop and read a book for an hour or so. Then I at least kind of feel like I went “out,” but really, I didn’t do anything. Hey, I’m currently in Adelaide feeling a bit blah, and this is exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks for the idea! Pick literally any spot in Murren/Wengen/Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald and relax for the entire day while enjoying the sublime Mountain views. Not a second wasted! Yes! This is so important on long trips. I also like to occasionally have an “errand day.” It’s still interesting because you’re running errands in another country, but it’s very satisfying. Guilt and fomo has no power over me 🙂 The point of holidays for me is to do what I want, when I want. Zero days are accounted for, and everything else is a bonus. Fine by me, this is mostly how I am traveling. I keep a regular routine and maybe schedule one or two things a day with 2 days “off” a week. It’s all about my available time in an area. If I am only visiting a brief time I will jam pack my schedule. When I am staying in an area for a month I will spread activities out and explore the area slowly.
Especially when remote working, you gotta have some down time. I work a rotational schedule 2 months on then 2 months off. I have to constantly remind myself that my paid time off is so I can regenerate myself and not have a full mental breakdown during my two months of crazy work. I am older and disabled. Even on a one-week vacation I need a down day. I usually like to stay where there is a pool, and it really is the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this best exercise for me. You are working full time. Do you go do something every day at home? Probably not. It is more important to enjoy your travels than to have a bunch of photos for instagram. I am usually happy just having a drink and people watching. I had a month in Bangkok, people would be appalled at how many days I did not even leave the condo.
I adore slow days… It’s not easy travelling, honestly if I love the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this place, I plan to come back again and see the places I didn’t the first time. Its cheaper than Vienna for starters. The old town is really small so you can pretty much see everything in a single day. As far as I’ve seen its way less touristy that Prague or Vienna. But absolutely worth the visit atleast for a weekend. Going there on Friday it’s part of the reason why I came to Bratislava, I might even ask for a day off at work in case I cannot get back to my apartment by 4pm Unless I am sick or have any other reason for staying in bed all day, I personally usually don’t. I prefer to take half days (bed half the day and something the other half) or slow days where I only go for a long swim and rest at the beach or in a nice cafe or park for a good portion of the day. Personally two half days off get me more rested than one full..And doing something chill but outside is super relaxing but fun and feels productive at the same time Zero days are essential when traveling long term and it’s really important to not give yourself fomo—when you’re at home you probably don’t go out everyday, so when you’re traveling for a longer time why should you have to? Give yourself permission to rest. Days off are why I travel solo. I can’t stand someone trying to motivate me when I’m not feeling it. Do what you want to do!
I’ve been in southeast Asia for six weeks, and aside from going around town in the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this early morning and evening seeing the sights and a couple of group tours, the vast majority of my time is hanging in my room by myself. And I love every minute I waste in front of a screen or book. I never do this, but sometimes I wish I did. I don’t take long trips like many people in this subreddit. My vacations are usually somewhere between 10 and 16 days, so the feeling like I have to do something (maybe even a lot of something!) every single day is generally so strong that I push through even though if I’m feeling worn out and in need of a break. The most I do is give myself a morning off. But I can definitely feel at times that my ability to enjoy the last 30% of my trip is diminished by not building in more time for leisure. Every trip towards the end I start telling myself that next trip I will be better at building rest days into my itinerary but it seems unlikely that I will change my ways anytime soon. But if I had more time, I definitely would and think it’s great that you do. A lot of us are using way more energy when we travel than we would at home, so rest is important!
In Lille France, I was having a zero day, had a 4 bed dorm to myself so i was just chilling all day. Fell asleep, woke up at 7pm realized I had only had a granola bar that day and everything in Lille was closed or closing. Frantically found a bakery that sold me their last baguette as they were pulling the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this grate down. Found a cheese shop still open and just pointed at some cheese because I was frazzled my french went out the window. I sat in the window of my hostel and ate cheese and bread for my dinner. to be fair its a great memory now. But stressful in the moment. Dont forget about the food on a zero day! In a perfect world, every third day would be like this when I’m traveling. Unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of taking long trips right now, so I just rage through 9 days then come home exhausted. I actually don’t do this because vacation time and funding are precious and I don’t like to waste either. Several people do this, though, often taking a decompression day or two each week where they don’t do anything, as a mental palate-cleanser.
If you haven’t been to Vienna, note well that it’s an easy jaunt from Bratislava (and yes, you can see the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this latter’s sights in a day — many folks do it as a day trip from Vienna). There are a lot of top-level sights in Vienna: museums, churches, historic houses (especially former composer residences), the Prater (an amusement park), the Vienna Woods (part of which is reachable via bus from the city center), the Central Cemetery, and other things. Go for it! That is the point of traveling for longer periods of time—being able to relax and just live and not sightsee every second. I have to have zero days. I have no choice. On our honeymoon, there were a few days where we had some laid-back plans for the evening, and I thought we’d be ok walking around sightseeing beforehand. But I, or both of us, would end up tired and staying in. Next time, if we have any specific plans, those days would be nero (near zero) days. Hang out at the hotel until the evening events. I simply don’t have the energy to be go-go-go. Even for one week, with my husband to help me, 3 hours away from where we live– we need at least every 3rd day to be zero or nero.
Traveling should be fun. Ensuring that requires you to take care of yourself. That includes sitting around doing nothing, sometimes. The longest trip I’ve done is two weeks, I’m usually between 1-2 weeks. So a full day of nothing isn’t really feasible. I like spending the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this evenings indoors winding down and recharging. As a solo female traveller, I am cautious about being out after dark, but honestly I just don’t have much to do other than see the sights (not into nightlife) and it gets cooler at night, which I don’t like. I’m usually in by 8 (like tonight!) and can then spend a few hours chilling. If I need some downtime during the day (sometimes just to rest my feet, get out of the sun, whatever), I’ll find a cafe or seating somewhere and alternate between using my phone and people watching. Then at least I don’t feel like I’m “wasting” my time, since I’m just soaking up the culture. If you’re traveling for a few months, and I’m Bratislava for a week, a chill day would be fine, especially since you’re working. As someone who has spent more than a month at a time in European countries, it’s inevitable. I personally have ants in my pants, so even on days I worked USA time 3-11pm, I HAD to go on at least a daily walk. I was also staying in my partners apartment, so I was comfortable. That being said, if I was spending money on lodging, even if it was a cheap hostel, I’d feel even more compelled to do at least one small thing a day, like see a nearby church or go to beach or whatever it might be. Life is short. I’m all for (if you have extended time) taking it a bit slower each day- ex, see 4 sights instead of 14- but I still an advocate for making the most of daily life. You never know what may happen.
I’ve been travelling 14 months, those days are very necessary. There’s days I don’t even leave my room nevermind leave my hostel. Food delivered, Netflix, recharge.. take them when you need them and don’t feel guilty because if you push yourself to keep going every day you will probably burnout but things will definitely be less interesting or impressive to you which is a pity. Yes! A friend of mine calls it a “duvet day,” which I love. I’m far more active when I travel than when I’m at home, and need those resets to stay on track. I definitely need days off, I book a nice hotel, read and Netflix. Only go out to eat and maybe date. My rule of thumb: 1 day a week or 4 days a month. But just out of curiosity: what the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this hell did you want to do in Bratislava for a whole week? It’s literally a daytrip from Vienna and not gonna be a busy day…
It’s cheaper than Vienna for starters hehe and people dont talk much about Bratislava. Still going to Vienna on the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this weekend. Because of my job I’m really apprehensive about day trips since I need to clock in at 4-5pm so I can only do them on the weekends that’s why I spend a full week at every place I go and then travel either on Saturday or Sunday. The nice hotel was critical for me when I was staying in hostels. I only did it every few weeks, but yeah, a night in a decent hotel (usually in a layover sort of city) with my own quiet space, maybe a pool, get some room service… totally helped refresh me and kept me going. Oh man, when I rest in hotels it’s just another experience. I love the artificiality of them, everything is made so you are comfortable. There are times when I actually crave those shitty Club Sandwiches or Burgers from the room service.
I loved Bratislava exactly because of that. Pretty small, calm, easygoing, no pressure or stress to continue travelling. Perfect place to stop and unwind a bit before you continue travelling through the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this hurricane that is Central Europe. If I were you I’d seize it and just stroll around for the day, stop, get a beer for cheaper than anywhere else nearby, and chill. Short trips? Hell no. If I’m there for a week, I’m wringing the last little tiny bit of tourism I can out of that place. Walking everywhere, no budget watching, let’s fuckin’ go. I can rest when I’m home. I’m just wasting money going to another country and staying inside. Not me. I’ll sleep when I’m dead. I only get so much time on this wonderful rock. I want to spend as much as possible doing cool shit. I can sit on my ass at home. Yeah, always important to have a chill day when you need it. If you don’t, you will quickly get burnt out and not enjoy rest of the trip as much.
Never. My time off work is too valuable to spend it doing nothing. If I were travelling for like three months I would maybe have one or two but I don’t feel it’s necessary for trips less than a month. If you have any other symptoms on top of the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this exhaustion, a covid test isn’t a bad idea. Being suddenly, unusually tired was the biggest symptom I had. I’ve definitely had those days in other times, as well. I try to budget at least a few ‘fuck it’ days into any long trip- days where I have the freedom to just do nothing I definitely did on my long trips. Can’t travel more than two weeks at a time now though so I am doing something every day now I’ve just spent three days like this in Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil, and boy do I feel so much better for it! I was so burned out that even though I’m missing the sights I have thoroughly enjoyed my three days of solitude in my bunk. Listen to what your body and mind is telling you. Alternating works well for me. E.g. taking a day trip by train/car to explore a thing I heard about, and something more local the next day (cafe/pub/museum/park). I’ve only needed straight up “zero” days if I crammed too much on a previous one You’re working and traveling. You shouldn’t have to work and travel every single day. Zero days on a short trip is one thing but if you’re nonstop traveling I would think you’d need them (if you’ve seen what you want to) Down days are absolutely necessary to relax and reset. If you were pushing yourself to hit all the tourist destinations and experiences every day, the experiences would start to blur together, not be as memorable, and exhausting to the point that you would need a vacation from your vacation! Traveling doesn’t make sense of you barely remember doing it and too tired to enjoy it.
I like to plan down time or a down day at a place with nice amenities such as a beach, pool, sauna or nearby massage spa. Yep, the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this longer you travel, the more you need. You can push off the need for awhile when you have shorter trips. But long trips? I’m taking these like once a week perhaps. I dont have much to add to the conversation except that i had the same situation during my visit in Bratislava too, i had to be there almost every day but every tourist attraction i had already seen twice. I did a day trip to vienne at some point to switch things up a but. I would definitely say that rest is important too! Totally. Even just watching movies at ‘home’ and eating some comfort food will reset my battery. I love traveling and taking long trips but I definitely need the downtime.
It’s absolutely fine! Years ago, I did a solo trip to China and felt exhausted and a bit intimidated my first day. I called my dad (RIP) and asked him the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this same question and he said travel is to be enjoyed and I should just chill until I was ready to head out. I felt great the next day and off I went! Just chill ✈️😀 I’m a huge fan of taking downtime if you need it. Travel can be tough on the mind and the body and sometimes you just need to let both chill out. Absolutely necessary for me to take down time on a regular basis. Helps me recharge my social/emotional/physical battery so I can be at my best when I want to. I just emerged from a zero day this morning and had a fantastic full day roaming around here in Alexandria, Egypt. Will probably get tomatoes thrown at me by the Thailand massive but I just came to Bangkok from an exhausting month in India and just need to relax. I’ve spent a week doing minimal trips to shops / food places but otherwise working / taking it easy in the hotel – I think you’re doing the right thing if it feels good
Yup, to make it feel a bit different from home I like to go to nearby restaurants to order takeout, or to the Firefighter First In Last Out Houston Astros T-Shirt moreover I love this grocery to stock up on snacks or meals. Love doing this and ordering food in through a local delivery service. Still feels like I’m getting a local experience/cuisine while also getting to just chillllll I love Bratislava (it’s one of my favorite European cities I’ve been to) because it is calm and beautiful, but it is small and a great place to just chill out. Don’t feel bad needing a day, two, or even a week to not do much. The more and longer I travel, the more I savor those down days! Sometimes sitting around a hotel (or wherever) can be very refreshing. Unless I’m on a very short trip where I’m going to miss out on things I’ll never have another chance to see I never feel bad about taking some time to do absolutely nothing. I once lost a day of a vacation because of travel disruptions and decided to hole up in an airport hotel watching Netflix and eating overpriced room service and it ended up being a fantastic day.
