I would say at Max two in case you want to do the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this canal tour and the half moon brewery tour also with copious amounts of beer consumption I stayed 2 nights and it was totally worth it. Getting out before the day trippers arrive makes it actually bearable. After 11am it’s a zoo Nothing to add, just lovin’ this post as it is one of the few topics in /travel where people spend too much time in one place. Usually everyone is cramming in too much and users here have to help trimming it down. If you are not going to re-enact the film “in Brugges” scene by scene
Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt details
When you are in Brussels, must see the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this Royal Museum of Central Africa. It is in a suburb named Tervuren (can catch a tram). It displays the colonial history of Belgium in Africa, particularly, Congo. That huge palace field was used as a human zoo during the World Fair in Belgium to display African families (slaves) living in their natural habitat (under the brutal North Sea Winter). If you can find it somewhere, DVD extras show actual footage from that time of slaves and people watching them. I’ve been before, we stayed in Brussels and did Ghent/Bruges/Brussels/Antwerp over about 5 days. We’re going in April and staying in Bruges and traveling to Ghent and then Brussels, giving it 4 days for all of those, I think 5 is too many for Bruges alone. But it is a great place to make as a home base for travel to other areas nearby! Antwerp is very cool as well. Definitely only 1 day needed. More than enough time to see the entire city of Bruges. I would spend the other days in Brussels. In fact you could spend the whole week in Brussels and easily do a full day trip to Bruges. Then, on another of the days, do another day trip to Antwerp & Ghent. I recommend staying at Hilton Brussels Grand Place – I’ve stayed there before and was wonderful. Very close to the train station where I did day trips to other cities- including the ones I mentioned above and a day trip to Luxembourg.
In August, it may be worth considering a day in Ostend about 20mins away on the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this train. It has a fantastic beach, old school European seaside town vibe and museums like the Atlantic wall which is fantastic. Lots of beach bars for some cocktails if the sun is out too. Also second Ghent for a day or two. Did one night in Brussels, two nights in Ghent (with a day trip to Bruges), one night in Antwerp, one night in Rotterdam, two nights in Amsterdam. Everything was within short train ride from each city. It was great As a Belgian, 5days is a lot. But if you go to Ghent as well or even Antwerp and Brussels you can easily fill those 5 days. Bruges is an hour by train from a few other cities, e.g. Brussels, Lille. I would look around the region other places to stay rather than spend the whole time in Bruges.
How to buy this Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt
Do it in one night, then move on. Amsterdam can take up all the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this rest of your time, but Brussels is only good for another night (or 2 max). I would say 2-3 days, max. That said, I far prefer Brugge to Brussels. It’s beautiful, love the canals, LOVE walking the streets and square in the earlier part of morning. Lovely town, but small and quaint and no need to spend a long time staying there You can take a bus to Amsterdam unless you really want to stay in Brussels. Bruges is a day trip kind of place unless you really, really want to climb that church there which is basically waiting in line all day. 1-2 nights, I usually lean towards two unless I’m short on time, just so that I have a full day without having to check in/out of a hotel or hostel. 5 days is too much, use the time to see other places.
Stay in Brussels (it’ll have more options for cheaper) and take a day trip to Bruges. From Brussels you could take a fast train to Paris or Amsterdam or London, and local trains to Bruges, Ghent, and Antwerp I agree with everyone here. At the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this advice on this sub I spent a day in Ghent, which is a beautiful city, then one in Bruges which is also really pretty, then a couple in Brussels. For me the time in each place given how small they are was perfect Im planning to arrive bruge at night and spend a full day next day, stay at night and leave early for ghent and arrive brussel at night and stay there. I believe you can see much more. You can do ghent anvers brugge brussels. They only need one full day and they are close to eachother.
I would recommend basing yourself in Ghent, and taking day trips to Brussels and Bruges. Ghent is located between both those cities, and you can reach either of them by a short 25-minute train ride. My parents have been recently and really enjoyed Brussels. I don’t think you’d need 5 days in Bruges unless you’re a very slow and deliberate traveller and like to really take it in. I’d suggest exploring the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this other Belgian cities – Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent… just have a look at which suit you best and split your trip into 2 or 3. In 5 days you can visit all relevant sites of Flanders if not whole Belgium – I would say 5 day trip could include Antwerp, Gent, coastal city, Brussels + Brugge easy. I’ve been twice, and I regret not staying there overnight both times. I don’t think a day trip is sufficient, but I agree with the others who have said that five days is too much. It’s the type of place to simply be in, to take in. The folks who say that there isn’t much to do are apparently looking for a different kind of place. Just experience the beauty of it, and by staying a couple days, you can absorb it without being overwhelmed by the daytime crowds and feeling rushed. We did 2 nights in Bruges, 1 night Ghent, and 2 nights in Brussels with one day of Brussels being a day trip to else where (think Amsterdam, Luxembourg…) and were happy with that Bruges isn’t a big place but if you take the train to the coast or the neighbouring cities, you’ll have a homebase and some area to explore.
When I went to Bruges there was some sort of light festival throughout the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this city … it was amazing … if you can time you trip at that time ! Two nights is the sweet spot I would say. I visited last February for two nights and by the end had exhausted all the things to do that I’d planned, and didn’t feel like I had missed out on anything. What I would say is don’t spend the additional days in Brussels, probably the most underwhelming capital city I’ve visited. If you spend five whole days then take your time!! Spend time at museums for 2 days and walk around for three of the days. If you do stay a few days, it’s nice to rent a bicycle and ride down the canal to Oosterpoort and escape the madness that can be Bruges. Totally flat and paved, bucolic and serene with pretty villages to stop for a picnic. Is there any one in particular you use? The one I use currently is fab (Clinique) but I don’t know if I want to spend so much again 🥲 Holy hell! Amazingly talented. That is so freaking cool. I can’t even line my top lids straight. Absolutely love it! Gorgeous! Klimt would be great inspo for makeup looks!! This is amazing you are so talented you’ve made an art history student very happy with this haha Wow you have a very steady hand! Are you an artist outside of make up? I also hate alcohol and refuse to participate. I have not found anyone forcing me to drink since forever. It’s more acceptable to decline a drink now. Tell them you’re driving far, or taking medication for gout or something. Yep, in modern society the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this “drinking culture” isn’t that heavy anymore. Like in my company party many people cheers with soft drink or plain water instead of alcohol and everyone’s still having fun. Stupid and mental drunkers will not care if you are sick, driving or not. They will keep invite or forcing you to drink. My friend got a stroke, gout and cannot drink. He keeps getting invitation and being forced to drink when he attends a party. The drunkers know his illness but still invite and force him to drink. Cứ từ chối thôi bác, càng ép thì mình càng nói không, họ cũng làm gì được mình, cùng lắm là không giao thiệp nữa, vậy còn khỏe nữa
I don’t like dealing with drunkards either. It’s pointless to argue with them. If they ever force me a drink, they will never see me sitting with them on the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this same table anymore. They can always invite and I can always say no. Good point. When I’m feeling at the limit, I will fake something out. My job kinda needs me to be healthy so I can travel for work, so I have to tough it out Why would you have to fake anything. Just say no. Or “nurse your drink”. Peer pressure should not force your behavior. Be strong. You can do it The best way is to avoid participating the drinking party. Just ignore the invitation. Get 2nd job, classes. If you cannot avoid, just eat and eat the food, dont drink. The drinking culture started after the end of the war in 1975. Life was so harsh back then that people took to drinking as an escape. The price of draft beer was kept very low. There was some drinking prior to the end of the war but the “nhậu” culture did not exist. I lived in VN in both eras. Or maybe the war disrupted pre-existing drinking cultures. Otherwise it must be a crazy coincidence that similar drinking cultures operate around the rest of Asia… wow. A drunkard just say an opinion. ^.^. I think that drinking is a form of meeting to relax and throw the hand in the air… if you don’t like it, you can refuse and they will never invite you again. I actually enjoy drinking but I still avoid going out to drink with Vietnamese friends. I really can’t stand the pressure drinking and bravado that’s so common in Vietnamese drinking culture.
Like you go out with people and they’ll order this super expensive top shelf bottle of amazing cognac or scotch… and then it’s all 1…2…3…dzo! drink it all down straight as fast as possible to show off. Like ffs it’s meant to be sipped and ENJOYED. If you’re just going to funnel it all down your throat to get plastered, why even buy good liquor? To show people you can waste money like water but when you go home you’re indebt and just wasted 3 months of wages in 2 hours of drinking. East Asia societies (including Vietnam) tend to have relatively more complex and rigid hierarchies, which emphasize politeness and hinder open communication. Therefore, men in these societies have to resort to drinking to socialize and communicate freely. I’ve seen many Vietnamese men who use the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this pretext of being under the influence of alcohol to act out in front of other people, revealing their hidden frustrations, resentment,…. Yes this is the correct cause for drinking culture, it’s the only place where men can really be honest with their feelings which they were told from a young age to contain. This is especially true with the older generations as they follow this very strictly, with the new generation, we are fortunately not so influenced by this anymore but it is very much still a thing.
Exactly. Strong men are leaders not followers. They will prod and manipulate you to join the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this followers. Say no, join without drinking; they won’t like it, they will tease you, but they will respect you. Smoking, womanizing, same same. You literally didn’t read his second point. Drinking is a bit too integrated in our culture it became the norm. Declining a drink got people to call me gay, for some reason. And that’s not a rare sight. Who are those people? Ignore them bro if they are forcing you to drink then I don’t think you should be around them This isn’t limited to Vietnam. In most places, you drink (and smoke) in order to socialize and network with people. It’s an incredibly hard skill to turn down a drink or pretend you’re drinking to keep up the mood.
Grew up in Vietnam and now I’m in Australia. It’s the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this same every where. I think it’s an art to get out of it. I normally start with Vodka Lime Soda. Then just sneakily switch to Soda water with lime. Just don’t drink and enjoy the food, karaoke, company etc… however don’t judge those who do enjoy a drink. It’s ingrained in Vietnamese culture. You can’t change it Never had a drink in my life. Whenever I go to a wedding or “đi nhậu” I usually come up with the excuse that I’m “bị dị ứng (allergic)” or because of “tôn giáo (religion)”. Then others usually back off from forcing me to drink. It’s kind of hysterical how mad or confused people get when you refuse a drink, like… can I just drink something non-alcoholic? Just tell them you don’t want to drink. If they persist, punch them in the face, repeatedly. Then tell them if they ever, ever push a drink on you again that you do not want, you will smash their fucking stupid face again… Or, you can say, No thank you, and walk away.
i think you can try say something like “nah i have severe allergy and alcohol like death sentence for me” and just maybe it will help, i don’t drink too but it’s not like i actually talk to so much people to drink with… As a foreigner I can say that I love drinking with my Vietnamese friends. It is nice to relax with them and get drunk, the Family Cruise Squad 2025 Family Matching Group Vacation Shirt Also,I will get this only time when I complain is when some people try to get me to drink that low quality alcohol I hate it because it gives me terrible hangovers… other than that I’m always happy to drink with them as many cans of beer as they want. Cheers It is difficult, but absolutely possible. I am from England, which has an even worse drinking culture. It took me many years, and to be honest a lot of negative physical and psychological health effects of alcohol, to finally give it up. Now I’ve been totally sober since the start of 2019 with no regrets at all. One of the problems that makes it so hard to give up is, like you say, people pressuring you into drink, and social situations where the only real thing to do is drink. What you need to do is fully understand and accept the negative consequences of alcohol, and compare those against whatever uncomfortable social situation not drinking in will put you in. If you think about it objectively, it’s a very straightforward and logical choice – your health always comes first. For me at least, there isn’t an amount of social discomfort that could outweigh the cons of alcohol. You are not a snowflake or weirdo, just a smart person who accurately assessed that drinking is not worth it for you.
