English isn’t my first language so I’m learning new words like this daily is it like a chemistry term that’s got a new meaning over time? Up there with people who just leave their trolley in the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this space next to their car instead of returning it to its little house. This is why I agree with the whole ‘quid in the trolley’ thing, yeah it might be annoying if you don’t have change on hand or one of the trolley tokens but I find that people that leave trolleys laying around a carpark are the people that care enough to put it back for their pound. It’s like not indicating in a car, some people just seem to enjoy inconveniencing other people in such minor petty ways. I always indicate but I can’t say I’ve ever been inconvenienced by someone who didn’t either indicate or put a next customer bar down. Do you live in a place with no roundabouts or junctions? I live near a place known as “Home of the roundabout” coz they’re fucking everywhere. People not indicating on roundabouts is a ballache. I just wondered what kind of strange French word “ bal-ash” was and why I’ve never seen it before , what is going on It’s a tough one how many items is too little? it feels a bit daft when they only have a tin of spaghetti and a yorky
Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt: Express with Style
It’s a very British thing. I had no idea that I was supposed to do it, in my country the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this next person can just come and do it themselves. I do not care about this , never have . I personally never touch them but I have severe ocd , a lot of people might not want to touch them , in my Lidl and b&m they’re usually grey with dirt Or the people when the cashier (me) says something like ‘you alright?’ Or ‘hey’ and get absolutely no acknowledgment whatsoever , happens far too much it’s depressing The assholes who unload the trolley into their car and just push it away in a random direction can get to fuck. Kinda think that’s why some places have coin release trolleys now, and you have to return it to a specific area, and lock with others to get your one pound coin back. They definitely comply then! Yeah they’re the way forward. I have a token from an Auchan in France from 25 years ago that fits in the slot and I’ve become so attached to it I always return my trolley. They’re going to the same circle of hell as the people who recline airplane seats and those who won’t let you out of a junction when they can AND pull forward into the gap in the stationary traffic you could have pulled out into. And the ones turning into the narrow junction that you’re waiting to turn out of – who then proceed to get angry that you’re in the way and there’s not enough room for them. I really enjoy using the slow clap & unflinching eye contact manoeuvre when they do this in the road near me.
When someone hogs the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this middle lane on the motorway, I pull up to the outside, turn my indicators on super early so it’s flashing next to their head, and proceed to slowly move into their lane, then lane 1. Sad thing is most probably have no idea what it means. It is possibly the most infuriating thing I ever experience in a trip to the supermarket other than people who turn out to be friends with the person on the till and spend the next 5 minutes catching up whilst all the people waiting to pay have to stand and listen to what happened with Brenda and her 4 kids. I’m a Brit in the U.S. and I’m usually the only one that uses the bar. Sometimes they don’t even have one so I lose my mind!!! What about when the person on the till doesn’t push the bars down the shelf so you can’t pick one up without reaching right over someone else’s shopping…that should warrant a verbal warning.

Step by step to buy Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt
It doesn’t bother me too much but it is good line etiquette. I was in Aldi on Monday and had a small row because someone was trying to push ahead of me and others because she had 4 items and I had all my stuff on the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this conveyer belt already, the guy behind the till told her to go to the back of the queue so she dumped her stuff and walked out. I often let people go ahead of me in those situations if they’re directly behind me but there were like 3 people behind me before her and she had no consideration for them at all. One time I saw a bloke shout at this young couple because they were packing their shopping as it came to them and being super slow and he points to a sign up the top and says “LOOK OVER THERE, IT SAYS PACK YOUR SHOPPING AT THE BENCH, YOU’RE SLOWING THINGS DOWN” I find it worse when people don’t put the divider down but they set their items so close to the person in front so I start scanning their items too, and then they’re like “No that’s mine, not theirs. Can’t you see the gap?” No I can’t because you only left like two centimetres of space between you and the person in front of you
Like either leave a decent gap for me to see when I should stop scanning or put the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this divider down. And don’t get angry at me when I start scanning your shopping too. Where I’m from this isn’t a huge thing because everyone leaves enough space between items to signal that it’s someone else’s items. This sort of thing usually isn’t a problem and people don’t lose sleep over it not being used. I often forget to place the bar down because it’s not a usual thing where I’m from. People (the next shopper in line) will use it when they have a lot of groceries or items to separate from the shopper before them, but besides that, people don’t really use them. Regardless, I did not actually think that people get this bent out of shape if I forget to (which I often do), or other forget to… I get more annoyed by there not being enough on the tills so they end up not pushing all the way to where you are loading. And by cashiers who don’t push them along.
Old enough to remember shopping before these existed. It was mostly just to help inattentive checkout staff from grabbing the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this next persons items. Made it quicker for the store to just whizz the punters through. We used to just leave a gap and that was good enough. I still think it’s daft to get even remotely bothered by it but I do play along and put them down as I know there are loads of people now who have been trained to only use them and I don’t want them to create more anxiety. I assume that someone who can’t put it down for themselves or who forgets to is an unorganised person who can’t be trusted as far as i can throw them. I immediately judge them as scum. I bet they also park their car across two spaces and never return the trolley. They are the ones that take stuff out of the fridge and leave it in the tinned aisle.
I never understood why when I put it down the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this person behind me always says “thank you”. Isn’t it my responsibility to put it down? Otherwise I’m going to be paying for your items..? I assume that if there’s one whole foot between pile of my stuff and the previous customer’s stuff, a normally functioning brain should be able to tell they’re 2 different orders without any supplemental demarcation. You must hate me, I don’t put one down between the person in front, I just leave a gap….. you can see this proper fucks with the head of old ladies, they keep glancing at the lack of bar…….its only a matter of time before they freak out and walk over to put a bar down! I almost never put it down. I find the panic that ensues fascinating. When they turn around a notice that I haven’t done it. The prospect of my Tesco’s finest sausage rolls accidentally being scanned as one of their items.
I love driving people mental with this … I don’t put a bar down in front or behind my stuff but I leave an obvious little gap … and indicate to the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this cashier when to stop for both before me and after me unless some other raging shopper puts it there themselves. I dont know if its just me, but whenever I put one down it feels aggressive. Here is a definite and tangible line between my stuff and your stuff, both physically and socially. Here is a stark reminder of how separate we are from one another. There is your stuff, here is my stuff, i dont want your stuff to be mistaken for my stuff. You are not part of my tribe. Even worse is after I’ve put my shopping on the conveyor and put my bar down someone comes along and moves the bar so it is up close to my shopping – obviously with the intention of putting thier groceries next to that. Sorry, but my groceries need thier own space, just like me! 2 things that don’t matter here (a) Who puts down the ‘next customer’ bar down and (b) What you think of anyone.
Dude I’m usually in my own fucking world in the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this supermarket. It’s vaguely stressful for me so I just shut down and get on with it. I’ve literally walked past family members saying my name in supermarkets because I’m just tunnel visioned on a mission for sausages and bread or whatever. Like the people who start to put their shopping on the belt when you haven’t finished unloading yours and you run out of space. You have to recognise the spotlight effect! That personal be going through some shit and is on autopilot. Sometimes people are arseholes but don’t assume the worst. This is it for me too , I personally cannot have various people touching all my stuff so I go to self checkouts , there’s too much light and sensory stuff going on and people sometimes are panicking through their shop , let alone what kind of day you might have had
Yes. Shopping in supermarkets you see just how thoughtless and self-centered a lot of people are. See also people who block the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this aisle or an entire produce section with their trolley. I’d say putting one down to separate your shopping from someone’s shopping in front of yours is the norm but I don’t think there’s any obligation to put one down at the end of your own shopping. Especially where places like Lidl and Aldi hardly give you any time to unpack before they’re already scanning at 2000mph. You put one down at the end of your shopping, so the next person can then start to put their shopping on the belt, it’s not the other way round. I always say “thank you” when they don’t. If challenged, rare, I apologise and say I thought they had. Childish but makes me chuckle.
They’re the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this same fuckers that don’t take their trolley back to the trolley bay and just leave it dumped next to their car Worse than this is people not putting basket back properly, crooked and with the handles up. I don’t mind getting the divider thing, but having to straighten up for some stranger pisses me off. No. I leave a space and start unloading my shopping. If this is the kind of thing that gets you riled up, then you have an easy life 276 more repliesThe reasoning is they usually aren’t shoved all the way down the thing so you end up leaning over the person in front and their shopping to get it. It’s also just curtious they do it for you you do it for the next person. Can’t say I’m bothered if they don’t but I get it.
Grab the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this nearest bar of chocolate/chewing gum/ whatever other last minute crap is around the till and add it to their stuff No but I often think that people that judge others on trivial things are generally narcissistic and not very intelligent. How dare people not put the little plastic divider thingy down for you though… Doesn’t really make sense as they are saying you are then expected to do it for the next person which isn’t very narcissistic Often that and having far too much time in their hands go hand in hand… If only they used that time to learn instead, then both problems would work eachother out I think they might have just forgotten but a person who doesn’t put the trolley away, now that is a sociopath wanker who has no place in society I get it’s polite to do this, and 90% of the time I do. But there is sometimes things that stop someone doing so, like if my kids playing up for any reason that’s my priority, not the fact that the person behind me might have to put it down themselves, if that makes me a dick, then so be it You get a free pass for that one. Shopping with kids is usually more about damage control rather than normal functioning. It’s when someone just slaps down their shopping and stands there like it’s not common courtesey to put down a next customer bar afterwards.
Not only are Unplonkers™ horrible human beings, their existence is an affront to the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this tribe of man, who raised themselves from the primordial soup and stretched their hand toward the stars and said “I am”. Well in this exact context, these people are, simply, not. Importance shouldn’t matter. It should be common courtesey. You put your shopping down, you put the next customer bar down behind your shopping If you think this post is serious you might want to hit the middle aisle in Lidl and see if you can find a sense of humour next to the chainsaws. I haven’t touched one of those things for about ten years. They’re not really necessary. What’s the worst thing that can happen if you don’t? Generally not a fan of touching stuff that loads of other people have touched and never get cleaned. Leaving a space is fine. We were in lidl and his shopping was half way up and there were plenty of bars ready. He wasn’t even keeping up with his shopping. And there were like 5 people also waiting behind me. Eventually I very British loud sighed, reached closely around him and slammed a bar down before remaining within close proximity to force him to step forward in line with his own shopping. All while internally screaming “dickhead” at him… But… There’s a part of me that feels it is somehow rude to put it down. Because that’s creating a barrier, and protecting “my stuff” from you! So it’s always tricky. I prefer to put it there when there’s no-one actually behind me.
Don’t get me started on shopping trolleys let loose to be roaming free to breed and attack grannies in the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this car park (sound of shotgun shell being racked in the background) I always just play chicken with them. I put my stuff down on the belt right behind theirs and say nothing. I once had a boomer try to fight me for doing this, so you’re probably right about them being horrible human beings. No, it depends on the circumstances. If you always put the bar down behind you even when the supermarket is quiet and there’s no queue behind you, all you are doing is adding extra work for you and the underpaid cashier. Sometimes people are preoccupied with their thoughts. It happens. It’s absolutely no big deal at all to put the bar down yourself.
I see someone doing it as an act of war. They are aggressively taking land much like warring countries and I may want to dominate their lemonade bottle alley with my crumpets. Those people are annoying, but the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this ones with a bog shop who don’t let you go past when you have one bag of cat food piss me off the most Yeah. I actively say to the person in front as I begin popping my shopping on “whack the divider on, or you can pay for my shopping today” with a passive-aggressive chuckle As a cashier, I will continue to scan until I hit a barrier. Not my problem one of you all didn’t put it down but neither of you get to shout at me cos what I am snanning is the person behind you. As Joe said on the Adam &Joe show.. Anyone who doesn’t put the next customer sign down is taken out the back and shot. Store policy. If the checkout doesn’t have enough, I’ll usually grab one from the empty checkout to my side and add that…plus add one after my own stuff. As if I’m going to pay for your shopping. There’s enough of a gap between our baskets that the cashier will know. Im genuinely confused as to where everybody learned supermarket etiquette, nobody has ever told me that I should put the divider down after me. I’ll do it in future of course but I’m just curious how people learn these things? I get that it’s the considerate thing to do if you really think about it but there are loads of other intuitively considerate things that people don’t actually expect you to do.
I tend to use self checkout so I’ve not had to interact with this system that much anyways to be fair, but I’m now worried I’ve inadvertently offended people lol I will often put the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this bar down before I finish loading if the shopper behind has a right trolley-full. Of course leaving adequate room for the rest of my purchases. If the shop is really empty then I don’t bother, the person working on the tills will see the big gap and know that my shopping is done, it saves them having to pick the thing up and put it back in the slot. If someone doesn’t put it down I just assume they want to pay for my shopping and chuck my stuff in with theirs. Cheers! Right up there with people who don’t say thank you if you hold a door for them, or people that try and push their way through traffic jams 😀 I’ve been using self checkout for so long that this post has given me some sort of nostalgic wake up call and now I’m questioning if I’m using supermarkets correct at all I often forget. It’s never malicious or laziness and I’m mortified when someone reaches over me to grab it. I’m really not a horrible human being, I’m just a bit absent minded sometimes. Absorbed in my podcast or just thinking about other things. If I’m on the conveyor belt I’m already stressing about how fast I’m unloading the trolley and the up coming human interaction and the mad dash to get everything in the trolley as the Aldi worker fires everything through the scanner.
I live in a country where this isn’t the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this norm. People look gratifyingly confused when I do it for them. Yes, IATA. People who have a weeks shop and don’t let you go in front when you have 1 or 2 items are even worse human beings. On the other side of a fence, I have forgotten to put the next customer thing down and felt like an absolute piece of shit. Failure to put down the bar and put your shopping cart back proves you are an ungovernable piece of human trash that can only be forced to cooperate with threats of violence by the state. A woman once shoved her groceries so close to mine on the belt that the cashier thought we were a couple and asked if we had any nice plans for the weekend. I said “oh no, this woman is a stranger who just pushed her groceries really close to mine” because I am petty af. They’ve got nothing on the people who just walk away from busy self-checkouts after paying without pressing no to a receipt, thus wasting 5 seconds of the next person’s time. That depends. If I can see that they’re stressed and probably forgetting it then no but if they’re nonchalantly just not doing it then they’re a selfish pos who shouldn’t be allowed to shop on their own. I often struggle to reach them when there is someone else in front of me. They are all the way up next to the cashier and I’m short, I can’t reach over the trolly of the person in front of me to get one until they finish paying and leave.
No. I’m not so desperate to feel superior to other people that I seize upon such small, petty things to judge them by. I’m reminded of the Ezekiel American professional wrestler and musician T-Shirt moreover I love this 4chan post about how a person’s ability to put a shopping trolley in the right place when they’re done using it is a test of whether they are capable of self-governing. If you can’t show even a basic amount of social responsibility and courtesy to other people, so the theory goes, you are fundamentally incompatible with civil society. I was going to the cigarette counter, there were two arse-holes both with shopping baskets putting through their shopping. This is store with self scan and scan as you shop. And manned tills. No fucking excuse for your behaviour chapps and I hate you from the bottom of my heart. 174 more repliesI don’t like it when people don’t follow their shopping when the conveyer belt moves it toward the checkout. I quite often have the customer in front loitering at the start of the conveyer while a big space on the belt is opening up next to them. I’d like to be unloading my trolley but they stand there blocking my way for no reason at all. They don’t like it when you start reaching around them!
