People that make these claims can be tested easily. No one has ever demonstrated any validity to such claims. There’s lots of evidence against that. I used to agree with you, and then I opened my eyes. It’s a lot of fun to feel like the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this hard-nosed scientist shooting down the fancies of fools. It’s a lot more fulfilling to realize that there’s so much more to this universe than the materialists would have you believe. But you cannot use the same tools to gain this knowledge as you use to reject it. No one is smiling, it’s actually sad. I took the time to tell you that is imposible to measure with current technology. No one has ever demonstrated evidence towards your view either though. They have ideas and theories, but so does the other side. We’re flying at 40k mph on a rock orbiting a bigger rock. We certainly have no idea how our own minds work or what they are capable of.

Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt description

Modern science views it as a type of confirmation bias and likely vestige of human evolution that helped our hairier ancestors recognize patterns in nature that provided some survival benefit. It only gets weirder and more wonderful over time. And, it does seem to be skewed to only bringing positive, non-selfish change. Enjoy, amd lean into it! most definitely experience this. in fact it was one of the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this strongest motivators for me to keep meditating in the early days of my practice. why does this occur? as a physician, i sometimes feel the need to uncover the source of these synchronicities. i have considered several possibilities but i think the most likely explanation involves a decluttering of the thoughts at baseline. by creating a more streamlined flow of thoughts, i think it allows the more important “random thoughts” to be observed in the conscious mind during the times i’m not actively meditating. the real question is whether these synchronous occurrences are based on an actual extrasensory perception. i believe that in a certain sense, they definitely are. but does this mean psychic abilities? perhaps, but there are many contributing factors that ultimately determine what creates a conscious thought. the brain is continually calculating probabilities and filtering sensory inputs based on hundreds or thousands of different variables of which we are not consciously aware. i believe that meditation practice can clean out some of these subconscious-to-conscious thoughts, leaving us with less noise and thus making these useful extra-sensory inputs to become more pronounced as they emerge from the subconscious mind into the realm of consciousness. the other possibility is that these synchronicities are coincidences but because we have more awareness of our thoughts, we are able to better appreciate when these coincidental events occur—essentially because we are more aware of our own conscious thought streams. the true explanation could be either or both of these or maybe something completely different. but either way, i find that it is best to generally accept them as being valid and real. and accept that they simply are without needing to explain the source of their existence.
edit: another user commented pareidolia and i appreciate that observation. it is certainly an important factor in this phenomenon. but it’s so difficult to label all or even most these events as such because they are not all the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this same thing and they arise from a multitude of different contexts. to be honest i don’t think it’s possible to definitively describe all of these events as such. also, even if they are a form of confirmation bias, the fact remains that they seem to happen much more frequently during times when i have been spending more of my time meditating…does meditation increase the occurrence of confirmation bias-fueled thoughts? does time spent in meditation make me search for mystical evidence in the world? am i looking for synchronicities (and thus, finding them) as a result of the need to justify the time spent in meditation?

I see repeated numbers throughout the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this day. Even if i resist looking at the clock… eventually when i look, i will see numbers 1234 or 2222. Something of the sort. Since my watch is at military time, i see numbers 1234 in different orders multiple times a day. Alternate idea, Weird Shit is happening all the time, but when you meditate you carry enough awareness with you through your day that you notice it. All of life is a spectacular symphony of impossibly specific occurances happening in exactly the right way for life to dance it’s way onward. Even noticing a fraction of that is incredible. I would hesitate to assign too much meaning to it. You may never be able to figure out the “why” by observing the “what” with these small and fleeting phenomena, but you can enjoy them all the same.
They’re just coincidences. The human brain can be too good at pattern recognition, which often (especially when seeded by the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this idea it’d be cool if these were real phenomena) leads to people fooling themselves into believing silly things.
You’re going to get your blood drawn. It involves a small needle (smaller than donating blood if you’ve done that) being inserted into a vein. You’ll feel pain, but it should easily be within a very tolerable level. On top of that, there’s a million things that you could catch early by having routine bloodwork done, and a lot of those could do more than hurt physically. You’ll be ok even if it hurts a little bit. Try your best not to move/tense up. Hope everything goes well for ya! Honestly the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this more painful bit is that rubber band they tie around the arm to draw out the veins, the needle is nothing, just a pinch. It’s strange. I’ve had some blood tests that have barely hurt at all, and I’ve had some that were so bad I wanted to rip the needle out of the nurses hand. The ones that hurt the most bruised the worst so I’m assuming they fucked something up because way a lot of nurses at pathology where I live seem to be quite unskilled when it comes to the process. Ik practice makes perfect but it’s still scary And OP, I personally don’t like needles, and I can do blood tests just fine. Don’t worry, even if you are scared, you are certainly going to be ok Helpful tip : don’t look at it. For example watch the ceiling and wonder how it was built and which materials could have been used 😉 It will be done in no time.
Seconding the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this “don’t look” part. I am 30, working in a field close to medicine, had a lot of blood tests in my life, and never ever have I looked while the needle goes in. Just chat with the nurse instead! Some clinics will even let you watch something on your phone. My son had to get blood drawn (age 9 0r 10) & the nurse encouraged him to watch his phone and not what she was doing. It didn’t hurt as much as he was expecting There is research where they determined that looking away from the site of pain reduces the pain felt. And that looking at the site through a magnifying glass makes the pain worse. Human brains are weird and fun. This reminds me of all the times I’ve had a cut or scrape that went unnoticed for I don’t know how long with no pain whatsoever. Until I actually saw it.. Then it suddenly started hurting like a bitch.
This tip is 100% perfect advice, and I speak as someone who absolutely cannot stand needles. The thought, let alone the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this sight, of metal things piercing skin absolutely freaks me out. But distract yourself by studying the ceiling, or anything, and it’s genuinely fine. Everyone here is SO brave. I have multiple piercings but still get cold sweats everytime I get blood work done. You can normally feel the needle go in, and then for me I can feel the needle is in me and that’s the worst bit, especially when the needle may move slightly when they change the collecting vial. Not pain exactly just a sensation I don’t like. Realistically yes it may hurt a little bit but close your eyes and don’t look and keep breathing, they don’t take that long.
I find blood tests uncomfortable. It hurts a little bit, but is generally tolerable. The most uncomfortable thing for me is knowing that my blood is being removed, which makes me feel weird and icky But there’s honestly nothing to worry about. We’re all familiar and okay with a little bit of pain, and this will be no different How uncomfortable they are varies in my experience, maybe depending on the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this nurse drawing blood. but it has never been super painful and any pain is VERY brief. It’s not much different from getting a shot. It’s mostly in your head, the anticipation of it is the worst part. if you’re nervous, tell the nurse and they’ll be able to help you – focus on your breathing, don’t look, etc. You’ll be totally fine! It’s not comfortable, it doesn’t really hurt as long as they get it on the first try. Stubbing your toe is worse.
You’ll be fine, if I could compare the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this feeling to something it would be stepping on a plug or being pinched for literally a split second. Typically, if you tell the nurse/aide taking the sample that you are squeamish about needles, they will do everything in their power to minimize the already small, but inevitable, amount of pain you will feel. “Hurt” is really pushing it. I used to be afraid of taking blood tests too but they really don’t hurt. It feels like a pinch at worst. The average ant bite hurts way more. Just don’t look at it. Turn your head away. Looking at it can make you nervous. From when I had my blood drawn, it really feels like nothing! There’s a slight pinch when it goes in, and if you focus on it too much it gets uncomfortable, but so long as you distract yourself (phone, chat, etc) it’s really fine.
I found it generally at worst is about as bad as a bad mosquito bite. Like when you feel a mosquito poke you. So it doesn’t really hurt but can feel really annoying. Usually it doesn’t. But i would describe it similar to an annoying mosquito. You’ll feel a little pinch, but when the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this needle is in it pretty much stops hurting and you wont feel getting the blood taken. Maybe you’ll feel a weird sensation as the blood is being pulled out, but I promise its not bad. I’ve gotten my blood taken hundreds of times, and I still get nervous each time so I understand you’re scared. Honestly, though, its not bad and it’ll be over before you know it. You barely feel the needle and even then it is only for a second, your mum is right. You have nothing to worry about If you’re lucky and have decently accessible veins, the most you’ll feel is something like a fingernail prodding your skin for a moment.
If you’re really unlucky, it might sting for a moment a couple of times while they find a vein, but even so in the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this grand scheme of things it’s nothing. Nowhere near as bad as a paper cut or stubbing your toe. If your main concern is “the thought of it” then tell the nurse that you’re freaking out a bit at the idea, and they’ll make sure they don’t faff about too much, or keep you waiting, or otherwise expose you to too much stress. Yes, there will be a needle prick, but it’s over quickly. Remember that there’s a very good reason that you need one. Sometimes they do but it’s really not that bad. It also depends a bit on you and whoever takes your blood. If you’re well hydrated and get a pro nurse/phlebotomist, it’s easy. I’ve had a few times where the nurse couldn’t find a vein and they poked too many times and dug around. But these people didn’t seem like pros. Drink enough water, I think you’ll be ok.
It’s hard to answer a question like this because everyone’s pain tolerance is different, and some people have a strong revulsion to needles. However, in my experience, the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this pain of a needle is very minor. It is a tool that has been specially designed to pierce your skin easily and with a minimum of distress. Sometimes, having your blood taken can make you feel nausea, but it can help to look away and take slow, deep breaths. Nope, its just a pinch. My only suggestion is to drink a lot of water and stay sitting down for a bit afterwards. I tend to faint because of the low blood pressure Depends. I had one to test for Celiac and it put me off vaccines for a while. It is a pinch but it also has the feeling of a vaccine for a long time. I had quite a lot taken so if the nurse’s hand vibrates it feels horrible. like many said, just a pinch, i would describe it more as slightly uncomfortable feeling more than actual pain.
Depends on the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this person doing it. I get it done monthly for the medication that I’m on. My old nurse just retired (she was amazing, didn’t feel a thing most of the time) but there have been a rotation of replacements who have been hit and miss. Most of the time it’s ok. Worst case it will sting a bit and it may leave a small bruise No, honestly it’s just a tiny pinch feeling. Concentrate on taking deep breaths in and out, and maybe opt to lay down on a bed rather than sitting up in a chair. Also, best to look away. You’ll be fine 🙂 They hurt initially when the needle is inserted, but it depends on pain tolerance. Some people can take pain really well and others can’t. Pinch yourself lightly. That’s how much it hurts. Stop being a baby. I guess it todays age we aren’t allowed to say “man up” but it really is a useful expression!
Depends on the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this person doing it, I have had a lot done over this past year and the technician was very good and I did not feel it at all. The initial prick of the needle hurts a little. But everyone’s pain level intolerance is different so it’s really hard to answer this question. I guess the real question is what is your pain threshold/ tolerance? I dislike needles, shots and blood draws, but for me the discomfort of a blood draw is always far less than what I feared it would be. I recommend you let the phlebotomist know you’ve new to this and you’re apprehensive. They do this all the time and know the best way to work with you. I also recommend you do some breathing exercises designed to relax you first. Use Google to find the one that fits you best. Good Luck! I’ve had a lot of blood tests and have even inserted dialysis needles myself so I am something of an expert. For bloodtests there is a range on the pain level from barely noticed to let’s call it S sized auch for lack of better way to describe it which varies based on the factors that for you are basically random, but nobody can actually promise you’ll luck into barely noticed experience. Also people just experience pain differently and have different tolerance for it. The pain if there is any happens when the needle punctures your skin. While the blood is flowing out it goes down and when the needle is taken out it might hurt again, but always less than at the start.
Bigger thing than the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this pain is this totally irrational fear of needles you might psych yourself into. I have one kid that can keep calm through it and another that needed 3 people total to get it done because they are just that scared of needles. Your life overall will be so much easier in the long run if you can get yourself to the road of being someone who can at least keep still when it is done so it is a one person job. It does take bravery get your first blood test done, because you just don’t know how it will feel for before it is done. I don’t know how old you are, but I would recommend negotiating some kind of reward for the bravery from your parents. Not only because then you get the reward, but because in the moment thinking about the reward can help you deal with the situation and have something positive to look forward to while in the moment and just to focus on.
Well, it hurts a little bit. As someone who stayed at the Eva-01 Neon Genesis Evangelion welcome to Tokyo-3 home of the EVA Test Type-01 shirt Apart from…,I will love this hospital quite a lot, I can tell you that yes, you get used to it, but mostly because it’s a quick process and ain’t worse than being bit by an ant or something like that. Just make sure you are well hydrated. It’s easier for them to draw your blood that way. Otherwise you might get much more holes than you were expecting First off, they often say “sharp scratch” before they stuck the needle in. This is not anything like a sharp scratch. It’s a stingy jolt. Good thing is it only last a few seconds. You’ll get how ever many vials drawn as needed and then they’ll take out the needle and cover it with a bandage. You’ll have to put pressure on it for a few minutes. You might get a nice bruise to complete the experience. So, in short, yes it hurts a little but you’ll be fine. I’ve had a lot of blood tests and can easily say it’s more of an inconvenience than anything else.
