Also they mentioned they were in a lesbian relationship when I caught a look at it last. If it’s not the Electric Muppets! T-Shirt Also,I will get this transphobia, it’s the homophobia. Tbh it’s probably both. It also adds a FAR more grave dimension to them being reported to CPS: Texas has instructed CPS that trans people being in contact with children is cause to investigate and remove children from their families. Which also makes me pissy about the mod talking about how the cop’s “alleged” bigotry is off-topic. It is absolutely central to this. From some other comments it sounds like they’re less than a month away from moving out. Hopefully this issue fizzles out and they get away before something more serious happens. I mean damn I’d just put clothes on the kid for a month rather than potentially face having my kid go through the system. I can say that as the mother of three children who all loved to run around naked and terrorize our conservative boomer neighbors through the chain link fence

No but if they’re moving out in a month it keeps anything else from happening that could potentially give him “ammunition” to hurt them with. Yeah. This absolutely sounds like a bigotry issue. Even if this particular officer is just a regular dumbass and not a bigoted one, there’s too high of a risk that his report makes it over to someone who is bigoted in a place with far too few protections. Yeah. A *lot* of my friends from when I lived in Texas are looking to get out now. Even the Electric Muppets! T-Shirt Also,I will get this ones who were formerly very proud Texans. And only a couple of them are even queer or cis women of childbearing age. They’re just fed the fuck up. I am so scared for my friends, and my friends’ kids. I have friends with trans kids in several states, and it’s fucking terrifying.
