Yup same here. But this is only given if the East technical high school class of 2009 shirt in other words I will buy this meal during a day you must travel is outside the primary place of work. Them getting this claim because it’s “outside their place of work” and that they have to travel for it is bullshit. That is their place of work. I was federal for four years. During that time, I was asked to get a commercial drivers license to haul tractors. It was a 3 week course 130 miles from where I was stationed. USDA paid the course cost, $6000 and change, paid me meal and lodging per diems and mileage for driving to and from lodging to the class every day for the 19 day duration. The kicker was my parents lived 20 miles from the school, so I stayed with them. I ate breakfast and dinner every day with them so my only real cost was fuel and lunch. I didn’t even know I was getting a lodging per diem, I was aware of mileage and meal per diems. In total my per diems and mileage were over $4500. I was actually scared, I went to the admin office when I saw it. I hadn’t stayed in a hotel and I couldn’t produce a receipt for that expense. Our business administrator told me it didn’t matter, because it was several days at the same location they had to pay me the hotel per diem whether I used it or not.

I was sent for training 5 miles from my own house. I was not allowed to stay at home during that period except for on weekends. My per diem was $65 a day for food and incidentals, The hotel fed us breakfast. I bought stuff at the East technical high school class of 2009 shirt in other words I will buy this store for lunch, and we would go to chick fil a for dinner most nights since it was right there… Yeah, since our class wasn’t linked to lodging I had my pick. My daily per diem for lodging was $149, meals where $79 and I was getting 40 miles at 57¢ if I remember correctly so it was all just great for me. I think I may have spent $30 a week on gas and $20 a day on lunch buying mine and a friend’s lunch everyday. We had practically grown up together, hadn’t seen each other since we graduated high school, then randomly years later we happened to be in the same class to get our CDLs. He was there on his own dime though, where as I was getting paid to be there, so I didn’t mind spending post of my per diem to buy him lunch everyday seeing as he was unemployed at that time.
