I was talked down and declared a useless nobody by my step-father for over a decade, what kicked me into depression… so I swore to me that, if I would ever have kids, I want them to know that they have my support and that I’m there to help them, if they need me (assuming I can help…). But I would try my best. Keep them in the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this dark about finances. Parents essentially raised me to think we were in poverty and always yelled at me about the value and cost of things. And refused to let me handle money unless it was for school lunch.Which gave me so much anxiety over money that I would fret over meals during college and I would be afraid to eat, go out, but clothes, without having any concept of what budgeting wad beyond “save” and “don’t buy what you don’t need” and “use until you can’t anymore.”

Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt: Show Your Love with Style

It was such a scramble for me to figure out what to do with a paycheck. Still have money anxiety. Having to justify every purchase even a bag of chips is not healthy. I’m simply not having kids because I’m not fit to be a parent. As “successful” as my own parents are, they weren’t fit to raise me either. Control. The main reason for all conflicts and all the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this lies between us. One thing that helped my parents to stop controlling me was my principal telling them “would you rather have your kid do it and tell you, or not tell you and do it anyways?” Shut them up real quick. Tbh the shit I went through as a child is a big reason I’m just not having kids. Hats off to all the cycles breakers in this thread!
Let them have fun man. My mom basically had me locked in a prison so instead of drinking a beer every couple days with some friends I’d get black out wasted with strangers after running away on the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this weekends. I just wanted to live man. I will make sure to always validate my kids feelings and to raise them to not overly depend on someone because my parents literally made me so scared of being self reliant while growing up. I’ve moved past that but i’m gonna make sure that my kids know they can rely on themselves AND that they can come to me in case of emergencies because i always felt scared to when it comes to my parents Honestly this might not be your typical “family problems”, but if I will ever become a dad I’ll definetly not leave my children on ice in learning everything by themselves “because they got internet”, I’ll definetly make sure to spend time with my children on subjects they like, even if it’s just talking about them. Another thing is denying their mental issues, and this is a problem I saw across all of the generations in my family, young and old alike, there is probably no one who was treated right with their mental problems and illnesses, and I won’t push it through with medicaments, I’ll try to adjust surroundings first, and only when that doesn’t help would I resort to drugs. Too lenient. Gave me too much of what I want. Cared too much about how felt instead of how strong and compitent and willful I was.

How I can buy this Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt

I had a helicopter parent where I didn’t have much of a voice in the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this family. So I try to let my kids make age appropriate decisions. And I try to make sure they know their needs are important and their opinions matter. My father used to come home drunk, beat his wife and shout as loud as he could “if I knew this is what kids were like, I wouldn’t have bothered!” When I talk I hear his voice, when I look in the mirror, I see his face. I’m not passing that on to anybody. No kids, thanks though Let’s see I won’t sexually molest them or SA, and never have. Throw things and break things because of rage, burn my spouses items in a pyre in the desert, beat them, make them feel like they are lesser because of who they are as a human being, listen to them when they have things to tell me, enjoy their presence in my life and not make them feel like the biggest burden and mistake of my life, never kick them when they are down or expect them to do things I wouldn’t do.
As a young kid I’ve had a severe alergy to dust mites, which are found in normal dust. That small room I was in is the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this dustiest room I’ve ever been, and I had to sleep there. Thick immovable carpet on the floor, never thoroughly cleaned, bad dusty bed and dust on all surfaces, especially on the wardrobes and curtains. I was very active and a few jumps on the carpet would lift the dust and I’d soon gasp for air with whistling sounds and cough viciously afterwards. This was mostly neglected by parents, despite having means to help me, and I didn’t know how to help myself. I know because mother would yell at me for coughing and pinch my arms till I cried, and crying while suffocating is really not fun, she would just look at me and leave me then, which was so confusing. Father just didn’t care, he had his books, fishing, hunting, garage stuff – the garage was right under my room, where he often painted metal parts using air compressors, so with my breathing problems I also inhaled the paint quite often, and that would be during the night because that’s when he did that, for some reason. I remember being absolutely terrified of mosquitos, which are abundand where I’ve lived, and I didn’t want to open the windows for air during summers. If someone opened them, my room would be full of mosquitos, and I would stay the night awake trying to swat them, and I was around 4-7 then. Opening the windows is all mother did in that period to “help” my dust issue. After years of this, they decided to bring me to a doctor who ordered regular, sometimes daily injection therapy and I finally got the inhaler way later, when the allergy lessened (and to think, medical care was free). They helped me only because my coughing and audible breathing annoyed them.
Eventually when I got to teens and started thinking for myself, I’ve distanced myself emotionally from them and they are still surprised I wouldn’t hug or call them.I won’t make such mistakes that’s for sure. My kids’ needs will come first even if I have to demolish all my plans and comfort. Anything for a chance that my kids grow up healthy and wish to have me close. Mostly, telling them I love them. I was 42 before my Mother said she loved me and that was only in response to me saying it to her. Also my parents, when we were in public, would always say ‘That man will say something if you don’t stop doing X’ or ‘That woman will come over and shout at you’. I guess that was their way of keeping us quiet but Christ did i have issues with confidence and assertiveness when I left home. I was afraid of my own shadow. So I tell the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this kids I love them and let them be kids when they are out and about. They tell me they love me so I must be doing something right.
Whipping with a belt. I never had kids partially for fear of doing this, plus never wanted kids. Don’t have a clue, not violent, never had anger issues but If it is hereditary it ends with me. Working too much and leaving them on their own with their clearly alcoholic dad. my dad was here and there but most of my memory consists of him going to the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this bars and my mom working late and my oldest sister having to care for us till she grew old enough to sneak out so it was just my siblings and I (14 and younger) basically just at home doing whatever we want till whenever. My mom would come home and argue w my dad over money and the alcohol and it would just make us feel lonelier, when THEY WERE around it was a fight but when they weren’t it was like damn.. never really received hugs or I love yous as a kid so it’s still odd to me to this day to even be affectionate.
holding my hands above my head (and my feet off the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this ground) crushing my knuckles into the slanted stucco ceiling until they bled – while yelling in my face so hard that spittle was raining on me Buying the cheapest of everything for it to wear out in months. I buy quality stuff that cost money. But it lasts for years. Also i will never tell a kid that i don’t care about their interests. Even if I really don’t care about their interest i do care about their happiness and will happily feign interest in something to make a kiddo happy. Also when i give them Christmas presents/birthday presents/ random gifts that item is then theres. And im not going to use it to bribe them or some shit also comparing them to others. Its just cruel. small children do not want or need to be thinking that life is some sort of competition or that theyre not good enough because someone else is doing stuff better My parents raised me with no awareness that science exists and they can look up science to tell what’s goin on. Even things like simple diarrhoea could be avoided by understanding the baby’s body. I don’t blame them they had no one to teach them. Glad paediatricians today help parents out and there’s wealth of information on the internet that we’re able to raise babies better by making informed decisions. My dad verbally abused me and then gave me the silent treatment for two weeks when I told him I wanted to study languages instead of sciences, saying that I’d end up as a poor Spanish teacher. We’re on good terms now but it’s a pain I will never really get over because I know that he’ll never truly approve of me. Ofc I want my kids to be comfortable but it’s a myth that only STEM courses lead to successful careers and there’s NO POINT in forcing yourself into a career you don’t want and ending up miserable. We don’t “own” kids, they’re people in their own right and, unless they’re completely confused and want help deciding, parents shouldn’t have a place in such decisions.
the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this physical attacks and emotional abuse. also being super strict just teaches your child to a.) get really good at lying and b.) makes them never want to see you when they grow up . How to reduce that down to a discipline that corrects the behaviour early so it leaves room for learning new things later. I’m learning to figure it out because of my nephew. Not spoiled and can share if asked. Actually acknowledging their mental health , not pushing them to do stuff they don’t want or like , and letting them form their own opinion I have a 20yo son and 18yo daughter I’ve never laid hands on and couldn’t be more proud of. My parents were out of my life by 17; my kids still live at home while they go to college and ask me to go out and spend time with them doing cheesy stuff like mini golf and bowling.
Not forcing them to touch, hug or kiss people. I hate going to family reunions and having gross, old, smelly, creepy old people that are 6 times my size grabbing me and touching their lips to my face. Will raise them to believe in marriage but not to go into it blindly and make it a part of life, not the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this main thing in life. If I ever have kids I’ll always support them emotionally and have proper conversations like for ex. how was their day, what are they up to these days, what are they interested in, do they want to talk about something. Growing up I always felt kinda lonely since my parents never really liked to talk about tough to discuss stuff and that took a toll on my mental health later Making sure my kid knows that he is wanted and will always be loved. I felt suicidal in 4th grade. My kid only just learned what suicide was…in 4th grade (protocol emergency packet sent home from school, he was nosey).
My parents forced me to participate in sports, even though I was no earthly good at it. I was slower, weaker, smaller, and clumsier than the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this other kids. I was bullied and beaten over it, and yet I was not allowed to walk away from it. My folks and I fought daily for nearly two years about this before they finally gave up. To this day I can’t enjoy even being a spectator. I promised myself that if I ever had kids, I wouldn’t pressure them one way or the other. If they wanted to be athletic, I would support them in it, and if they didn’t, that would be fine too. I knew I would make a lot of mistakes bringing my son up, but I swore I wouldn’t make that one. I am now a grandparent, and I am happy to say I’ve kept my promise.
I didnt beat my kids mother up infront of my child or at all actually. I tried not to but i kinda lost the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this plot trying to be the absolute best dad mum i could that could provide be there for him and try and make him good but i failed miserably Don’t even know where to begin but…..I will NEVER give my kids the silent treatment. That fkd me up pretty bad. Being violent, verbally abusive, screaming, crying psychopaths that never listened to anything and essentially ruined my life before I could even get it started. Just a constant, burdensome source of negative energy and pain. Having any at all. I am surgically sterilized and if that somehow fails before menopause I’m a Canadian with access to safe, legal abortions.
I couldn’t have children, but I swore that if I did, I would never say, “I don’t care,” when they asked me if they could do something. It’s so demoralizing to hear that from a parent. I’ve felt fear and pain since day 1. Well behaved, never cried, screamed, or touched anything unnecessary when I was under 6 years old. My mind doesn’t remember what happened, but my Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this instinct knows something very bad will happen if I did anything to make my biological mother uncomfortable or even slightly mad. Beatings…hitting…gaslighting…making me feel like I can’t feel negative emotions…stonewalling…yelling and shouting…narcissistic abuse…general abuse…psychological abuse. Throwing things…being an adult having a tantrum then having your 9 year old console you after you just beat her…yup..gonna avoid all that nasty.
Raise me to believe that it wasn’t ok to cry as a boy. I absolutely will not raise my kids like that when I have them. I’ll never tell them “you’re too sensitive” after berating them (welll..also won’t berate them, so that’s a twofer). Won’t let an elder relative speak Ill to them in their own house and them make them take it because “you have to respect your elders” Since the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this day each of my 4 kids were born, I have always said “Good night, love you, see you in the morning”. I also made sure to give them a hug or a kiss at least once a day. They’re almost all adults now and I still do it…even my 16 & 18 yr old sons will come and give me a hug and kiss before they go to bed if I’m a little bit late Made me feel physically responsible for my medical costs. I don’t hold a grudge, they had 4 kids and a single income. They were great parents, and I love them so much, but that did a number on me. I know exactly how much every filling I had to get cost, along with my braces. I still struggle with spending any money on myself, regardless of need.
They helped me a bit with college, which was amazing, but when I had to take out a private loan and the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this interest rate through sally mae was 18% unless they cosigned they yelled at me that I clearly was irresponsible that they would even suggest that interest rate. They cosigned, but it was after a huge fight and I felt horrible. When I didn’t have the money or scholarships to pay for my last semester (I worked 1 full time job, 1 part time, had an internship, maxed out credit hours and lived on my own with a roommate) I dropped out because I didn’t feel like asking them for any sort of help was an option. I didn’t tell them for almost a decade, and when I finally did they cried and told me they were so sorry that they made me feel like I couldn’t come to them. I know they feel horrible for that, they just didn’t know at the time how much damage they were doing.
I will never make my kids feel bad for “costing me money” in order to take care of their mental or physical health, or for them asking for help. Turn to drugs and alcohol and miss out on my kids childhood. One parent was addicted to drinking and the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this other had an addiction to drugs. The parent that did drugs luckily got clean but was gone most of my childhood then my other parent died from cirrhosis caused by drinking Definitely fucked up my childhood. It’s sad I only have one parent now but I’m glad I still have the one in my life and they are clean, will be 7 years next month! when i was younger they always made me tell them who i was going out with, asked for the friends phone number and imposed strict curfews. now i just don’t go out altogether and they wonder why I listen to them and take their side. They’re 18&19. We talk about it all. And I always asked after any visit somewhere if they were safe while there and if anything happened like SA specifically.
My parents got married too fast and had kids too fast. Too fast to realize they weren’t compatible. They stuck together for a little more than a decade and it fell apart when I was roughly 10. One of the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this things I remember well from my childhood was the arguing and the yelling.. How me and my little sister would sit at the top of the stairs and listen to my mom and dad screaming at each other. I’m still learning this, but I won’t label foods as “junk” or “healthy”. We need or want certain foods at certain times and they all provide something to our body. I feel this helps to not put the “junk” foods on a pedestal and no think you’re doing well just for eating a salad and feel bad for eating a piece of candy. I will not smack my kids, or use them as a therapist. I will also make it clear that it’s my job to raise them. I plan on fostering kids and I plan to just be a steady figure in their life. An uncle or something. I don’t like the idea of replacing some kiddo’s parents
If I ever had kids, I’d make sure they could tell me anything without having to worry that I’ll get mad or upset with them. If your child thinks you’ll tell them off or punish them without even listening properly first, they’ll worry about telling you anything. Source: Myself. I was terrified of my Dad until I finished school, and I feel like I can’t tell my Mum almost anything without feeling like I annoy her or that she’ll get mad at me because she’s taken something I’ve said the Eagles 02 09 25 Super Bowl LIX Lets Hunt Shirt so you should to go to store and get this wrong way. I told my Mum that I wanted to move away from my hometown the other day partly because everyone I’ve lost that I cared about was while I was here. Suddenly, that means I don’t care about her because she’s here. Even after explaining to her that “You’re not dead though, I said the ones I’ve lost!” It’s hard, I’m Autistic so social faux-pas are almost unavoidable for me quite often, though never on purpose, and my Mum is also neurodivergent so miscommunication is a usual occurrence between us My mom raised me to be in constant fear. She use to tell me that all girls are mean and boys just want to get me pregnant. So I went into middle school and Highschool lonely as hell.
