Its my wife that keeps me up. She is my strong foundation. Same as my kids. I have that Homer Simpson Poster “Do it for her” at my desk and all my work buddies relate. Oh, and there is a vow and challenge that i did with my brother: If anyone of us ever dares to kill himself, the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and other one gets to pee on his grave for that in front of everyone else. Family knows and would not stop that. You know how when you break a bone, it knits itself back together and is stronger than it was before and probably won’t break in the same spot again? My mental health is kinda like that, but over and over and over and over. I’ve been broken so many times and in so many ways that I just don’t think there is much left that can actually hurt me anymore. The only downside is that there also isn’t much that can actually bring me any real, lasting joy either. I’m just drifting through life, waiting for the cold embrace of inevitable death. How people treat you isnt who you are. I think youre right; they do take you for granted & view you as worthless. Thats on them not on you, Im sorry.
Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt, hoodie, hoodie and long sleeve tee
I have fully given up on trying to find friendships and/relationships. I did everything I could to be a good person and received nothing for it except bitterness and manipulation. I was there for others when they were down but when I would talk about my problems the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and script would be flipped and subverted and I was essentially told to man up on several occasions. My personal favorite is when I told the person closest to me about how I felt and the following day they made it about themselves. I have kids so my biological imperative has been met and once they are on their own I am going to become a vagabond with an RV live out my natural life alone. I have come to terms with this and am okay with it.
The only sad thing about this is that I had a pretty crazy and interesting life. Did a lot of things that few have done. And it all counts for nothing. Not great to be honest, complex PTSD has deteriorated my mind extensively, currently just trying to continue to do the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and best impression of what I remember myself to be. Overextended myself to a lot of people and have now completely isolated myself from family and friends for the past few months. In a constant state of disassociation and whilst I am taking steps to improve it really makes it difficult for me to imagine any kind of future. Feel a bit lost, things that used to excite me don’t anymore, haven’t felt happy in a long time, don’t want to go into a lot of detail but obviously in a very dark place, getting help and continuing to try and improve everyday though. 🙂 Best way I can describe it is if you were playing a video game and you complete it yet it carries on and you’re forced to keep playing.
Where to buy this Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt
I am grateful for everything I have and I apologise if I seem at any point ungrateful or like I’m just moaning, sorry if this is the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and wrong forum too. ive been playing league of legends for a decade, i dont have mental heath problems, i GIVE people mental health problems. i make opposing enemies leave the game half of the times, one word out of my mouth makes teammates run it down mid. i have the strongest mental out of every league player. No, I am strong. Just fucking exhausted. Being on crazy pills doesn’t seem to really have any negative impact on my life. However, me being “stubborn” seems to rock the very foundations of life for some people. Guys learn to say no and don’t feel badly about it. If you feel like you’re being taken for granted stop being a people pleaser and be better to you.
I was in two back to back 9 year relationships where I was always at fault for every shortcoming and spent all of my time apologizing and trying to come up with a plan for improvement and trying to act on those improvements at all times Eventually I became a literal shadow of my real self and as the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and real self started to do some attempts at healing I smothered it with LSD and wound up in a psych ward where every support beam of reality came crashing down Now I work in a job where my eyes are my only utility and the things that come out of my mouth are so detrimental that I’ve sequestered myself into no speech out of fear of not being able to pay my rent I cope by playing video games but that is losing its flavor and spice and the only thing I see in front of me is a never ending age of depression, misery and flavorlessnsss and a complete and total distrust of everyone around me
On top of that I’m a male human so I’m not supposed to reveal any of this to anyone around me and need to carry on because once I’m dead it won’t matter anymore I don’t trust anyone out of fear of hurting them or getting hurt and having all of my financials fucked over by smarter greedier people I used to go to the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and gym but because I have wandering eyes and am so unambiguously attracted to the female form that I end up feeling like a creep so I don’t work out anymore I pretty much only eat the same three things every day because my bank account never goes up, it only stays the same. Rice, chicken and cabbage My mom and my sister live so far away and every time I go visit them I catch a cold or COVID and have to take off of work I can’t take off work anymore because my FMLA relapsed and I have too many occurrences so I’m basically not allowed to be sick ever again or else I’ll become homeless I can’t risk spending money on healthcare because of how little I have to flex on financially so I’ll never get my FMLA back to protect my job It’s so obvious that all of this is so easily transmitted through tinder and bumble that I can’t even get any matches to try to start a conversation
There’s no winning. It’s all zero sum. Sleep is the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and only respite from constant struggle and up hill battles against spiritually superior Christians and their 5 children families and huge bank accounts I need constant intellectual stimulation lest I become instantaneously bored and sleep my entire weekends away but I have such a hard time getting along with/trusting people that I don’t see the value in even putting in the effort Therapy has not worked, my first therapist quit after meeting me, and my second therapist was a phone meeting during COVID. I gave up on therapy knowing that I was never going to figure out what’s wrong or realize nothing is technically wrong but also not being able to afford it And to think about finding someone just to dump all of this into doesn’t do anything to help me in the slightest
All of my dreams as a teenager were me throwing myself off buildings and cliffs because in all my 36 years it’s never been any different than this It’s in a sorry state, but stable–like a perpetual gloom with begrudging acceptance. After getting close to breaking for good, it evened out. I don’t know how it got there, because I’ve actually had mostly positive experiences with real people. I think it’s mostly the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and media / online discourse that’s constantly reinforcing “men are replaceable, undesirable, and untrustable” ideas (with immediate family rubbing in “you should be ashamed of yourself for x reason” and “you have nothing to be proud of,” for good measure). Makes the positive experiences seem like outliers against a vast population that would detest me on principle if they ever noticed me. Basically it’s a state of constant, mostly-functional depression without elevated risk of ‘worst-case’ outcomes. It’s depression like the emotional equivalent of a non-Newtonian fluid, where it’s fluid enough to be comfortable in normal, boring times; and then rapidly solidifies against stimulation to keep me from going too far in any direction.
It’s a miserable state to be in, but it’s quiet and easy enough to hide. Things can hurt or make me happy, so it’s not endless, empty misery, but it’ll always return to the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and muck in the end–for better or worse I’m broken. Significant personal incidents in my late teens lead to years of anxiety and panic and continued catastrophic thinking most my life. Sometimes I wonder if I am depressed but I’m not sure. I don’t enjoy life or things as much as I used to and whilst I can just carry on life seems a bit bleugh. I know that’s not severe depression but sometimes I wonder if anti depressants would click me back into how I used to feel when I was younger Breaking point right now. Mum passed away a month ago. I hate my job and will never have one i enjoy. And coming to the end of my second long term relationship.
As with the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and first, she has decided she no longer loves me. I am unsure why, and she won’t say. I have lost my temper on occasion, but this has only ever resulted in shouting. I have never laid my hands on her in anger. And I have made progress in dealing with this. Plus I do everything around the house, inside and out. She makes dinner each night which is a major, but that is literally it. We will sell the house and I have no option but to go and rent a little 1-bedroom shitbox, and go from seeing our son daily to maybe on weekends. If it wasn’t for him I’d kill myself. Being the odd man out here, it’s not. Do I experience similar stressors relating to work, family, health, etc.? Without a doubt. That having been said, I have chosen – daily – to live my life in a way that I concern myself with what I can control first and foremost. Everything else is secondary.
I see you struggling – it’s real, and it’s valid. But do not allow yourself to believe for a second that it must always be. You know that voice in your head that tells you that your worthless, or that you are a failure, or that you will never amount to anything? It slowly ebbs further into the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and background when you realize that you don’t have to ignore it – you can’t actively tell it how things are going to be. Very unsure. Sometimes feels like it’ll be fine sometimes feels like I’m just floating around week to week. Just kinda hit a transitionary phase in life and have no idea what’s going on/what to do/where to go. Guess the answer is wherever I want, but I’m much better when I have someone else’s opinions to weigh in and nowadays it’s kinda too up to me? But it’s chill we didn’t come this far just to come this far My world is crumbling, im 21 and i moved out 5 months ago. The realisation that i will live an unfulfilling life and ill be alone has always been present in the back of my mind, but now that im an “adult” it really hit hard. My connections to family and friends are dissolving due to my world view, and the pessimism it brings. I do still find things fun and i look forward to alot of things, but nothing makes sense to do anymore. There just isnt any endgoal. I “could” become rich and be able to drive sportscars and all that stuff, but at the end of the day it wont fill the hole in my chest, the last piece of life’s puzzle.
we all suffer from a desire for more… a desire for something greater than ourselves. But what do i know, im just a useless human Yes, I wish things were better but compared to where I was like 10 years ago life is a boring cakewalk. The secret is to just give up worry. Well, it is a tough one. You are taken for granted as a man and mostly measured by your instrumental value. At the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and same time you get told to show more emotions, and get knocked down if you do. I believe, even though I have no evidence for it, that there are heterosexual women out there that understands that heterosexual men are individuals with emotions and not tools to be used. If i can’t come up with some extra money at the end of this month, i might be getting evicted and have to move back in with my mom. Meanwhile, my roommate will have nowhere to go. Im so afraid of failing again. All i ever do is fuck up every opportunity given to me because i feel i have to fit into a small box that i think everyone thinks i should be in. I might only be 25, but im so exhausted mentally and physically. Im ready to die. Do i even deserve better than this? I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for almost a year now, and it looks like neither of us will be able to afford a plane ticket to see each other, and we live in the same country. A better job is almost impossible to get with no experience in anything and no money to go to school with. What do i do. How can i possibly get ahead in life. There is no way of making myself a safety net when it takes every cent i have just to stay fed and housed, and what about anything else i might need. I need help, but there is no one who will or can.
I am not dating anymore because a decade of dating apps and being cheated on by my last ex has pretty much put the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and nail in that coffin. I never had any luck and it doesn’t help my self esteem to spend months sending messages into a void. I was depressed for most of two years after my breakup and I don’t know that I’d survive another one like that. I am doing better now and losing weight, going to more stuff in person, but I know that my living situation is tenuous. Rent around here has risen to the point that I can’t afford it alone. I’m in a better job than I expected to get, but even making $30ish an hour, I can’t afford a one bedroom apartment. Mostly I try to ignore that, do my best to have fun with friends. I’m stable, generally content in my relationships and my work, and have long bouts of happiness, so I’d have to say I’m not very fragile at all at the moment. It wasn’t always this way, of course.
But at our recent staff lunch, talk turned to psych meds, and I was literally the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and only person at the 22 person lunch who was not on some sort of psych med. I was also the only person over 40 there. It really seemed like people at the table were competing to be the most ill, with the most meds in play, like there was status involved with it. My generation would barely talk about it, of course, though we’re not quite as buttoned up as the Boomers, so it was interesting to just sit there and listen to people tell their co-workers about their poor mental health. Struggling… But to be honest, I do this to my self. Ive been escaping like a lil bihh with vices (weed & booze). It used to be way worse. It’s much better now. I remember feeling afraid about 80 percent of my waking life and having a good day maybe once a month. Now, despite being older and having less potential I’m much less afraid. I’ve dieted and worked out for the better part of 2 years, lost some progress due to an injury and got sober. The cure? Take action. Don’t distract, don’t avoid, and stop pissing your life away whining about things you have no control over. Don’t wait for external factors to change, take action. Make your own “Then one day” “Then one day he picked up a Dumbbell” “Then one day he decided to talk to his family more often and visited” “Then one day he shut off his computer monitor and took a walk.” You can do it bro, you must, hell is looking back at the person you could have been, real life isn’t so bad when you’re working to become the best version of yourself.
My mental health regarding social stuff and relationships is pretty okay. But I have crippling OCD and health anxiety that dictates pretty much everything I do. I probably check my pulse 200+ times a day and my blood pressure always seems way too high but doctors ignore it regardless of hospital visits. I can barely go out of my house without taking Ativan except to go to work which is like hell for me as I’m freaking out pretty much 90% of the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and time at the job. Feels like I’m waiting to die rather than living right now and I don’t really see the point in being alive anymore cause it’s just not fun – most people think I’m pretty happy though cause they don’t know. Living the dream one nightmare at the time baby!
This is what’s up with mine. I can have depressive spells, attempts to date can be harmful,,and anxiety is basically gone. I’m pursuing TMS therapy and talk therapy Dealt with horrible anxiety my entire life until last year. Started taking Paxil and now anxiety is nonexistent. Completely 100% nonexistent! However, my overall emotions are numbed way down (even positive ones), my dick don’t work as well, and an issue I never had before, anger management, is becoming an issue. Joyous moments aren’t so joyful anymore. My dick mostly work just fine but can lose an erection if the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and wind blows the wrong way and my orgasms feel half as good. I’ve contemplated getting off it but I’m not sure dealing with anxiety 24/7 and the return of panic attacks are worth it. Very. I have major depression and PTSD. Successful treatment has been illusive sometimes, and sometimes, it’s almost delusional. I feel like everyone is out to get me, my wife is cheating on me, and I’m days away from homelessness and suicide. Of course I KNOW, none of that is true, I think. When I stopped caring about what others think of me, it improved. Vastly. Hell, seeing how far some people go just to get a reaction out of me just makes me laugh. Just a little advice that may be helpful for some: Consider getting a pet. Animals can really do wonders for you (if your home is the right environment and you can manage the responsibility). Dogs and cats ask for so little but can give so much. Also, even fish can be comforting. Just watching them swim around in a big tank can be soothing for some.
Very. I have major depression and PTSD. Successful treatment has been illusive sometimes, and sometimes, it’s almost delusional. I feel like everyone is out to get me, my Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and wife is cheating on me, and I’m days away from homelessness and suicide. Of course I KNOW, none of that is true, I think. I started respecting myself over everyone else. I started working out like I’m trying to get a new woman, got a fresh haircut and I do things to make me happy, like walking with some favourite tunes on, and having a laugh with friends. My wife still doesn’t quite know what’s going on, but yeah, I’m good. People don’t take you for granted unless you let them. Respect and love yourself first gents. Nobody else will. Like Andrew Tate said (about something different though) “you have to do it for you, because nobody else is going to do it for you” It’s just who I am now. Fallen through enough nets to know that nobody else is going to help me and I don’t care any more.
I’ve been through some crap and thought I’ve pretty much fully healed, but I just realised like a week ago that while I may generally be a very happy person, and who is grateful for and who appreciates life a lot and enjoys their time here on earth most times, I have been scarred irreversibly by my past and therefore, I will never be the Duck I’m often mistaken for an adult because of my age shirt and by the same token and same again, ever in my life. I guess that’s okay, but I always assumed that I was ‘healed’ or ‘back to normal’ but there is no normal. I’m no longer suicidal nor do I hate myself any more, but I do have some trust issues and am quite guarded when I feel like I’m getting too close to someone. I’m much happier on my own, frankly. It’s relaxing, maybe it may not be ‘true’ happiness (if that’s even a thing?) but I’m never sad and I feel great so that works for me, at least for now! Broken. I was in great mental health before I had a home built. During, I ended up on medication for anxiety and depression.
