My local Wimpy (a now-closed franchise that was run by a small family) had to put an “OUT OF ORDER” sign on their toilet doors because the Dry Rot Outpost 31 ShirtDry Rot Outpost 31 Shirt also I will do this business next door kept redirecting its customers to them because theirs were broken. And there was only one male toilet and one female toilet. That meant we as Wimpy customers couldn’t use the toilets whenever we needed to. Use the toilets then when they question you say they should have put up a sign. Then watch their face tuen red. It’s why our most expensive and oldest schools in the country are “public schools”. They are the ones started when schools usually belong to the church or guilds, and only certain people could go. Places like Eton would accept anyone who could pay to learn, hence public schools. Public houses as a term only pooped into existence in the 17th century and it’s not super clear why, but it’s assumed that it’s just because anyone could enter i.e. It wasn’t a members club or a private dwelling.

What if you’re a customer but of, say, Sainsbury’s, and not that pub. Technically still a customer and I’m therefore coming in for a poo Yeah the Dry Rot Outpost 31 ShirtDry Rot Outpost 31 Shirt also I will do this doors are very similar. Many times I’ve walked off the tube and in there past both the security guys as I need the loo Do you think the toilets are just for customers?..lol They’ve never heard of a Public House before, .. sure they can’t do that,… I feel these notes are trying to tell me something I just can’t decipher the meaning if only they were more direct I’d understand I remember being told that pubs are supposed to make their toilets available for the public by law. Is this not the case? “Mary, this is the 4th sign I’ve put up telling people to toilets are for paying customers only, but it’s not working! Non-customers still keep pissing here! I’m printing off sign 5 now, just how many of these is it going to take before people stop?” I was about to use them as a non paying customer until i saw the third notice had been escalated to strictly… Sindercombe Social in Shepherds Bush next door to O2 Empire always getting people queuing and coming in to use the toilet. 2 weeks ago someone set fire to the hand drier in the Gents.. so I understand why they do it!
