Meditation is different from concentration. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (the Dragonball 39 years 1984-2023 thank you for the memories shirt and I love this eight limbs of Yoga) says the sixth limb of Yoga is concentration and leads to meditation, the seventh limb. Meditation leads on to the eighth limb, Samadhi. Meditation finally starts towards Samadhi by the activation of the kundalini, the serpent power at base of the spine. To see the kundalini awaken in yourself, watch the YouTube video ‘instantaneous awakening of the kundalini safely’. I think it’s really lacking in humility to think that everyone would benefit from meditation. It’s hard enough to even define what is or is not meditation, and there are so many different types of meditation, and “benefit” can be extremely hard to quantify, etc.

Dragonball 39 years 1984-2023 thank you for the memories shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I forget the Dragonball 39 years 1984-2023 thank you for the memories shirt and I love this name of the fallacy that could be occurring here but I think this is a bit like if someone says meditation isn’t benefiting them then some of the folks here would just look for means to invalidate whatever reason is given, or note the circumstances surrounding the individual as reason to ignore their reporting, even though no one can ever really experience what someone else is experiencing. But at the end of the day, we’re not Jehova’s witnesses, right? If someone doesn’t want to try to make meditation part of their lives, I’m not going to judge or try to change their minds… Similarly, zazen is quite the opposite to Tibetan visualization yet they are both rightfully called meditation. Meditation is not to have or to achieve something. It simply is to be aware of and that’s all. I think most problems are from trying to get/achieve/find something from meditation.
