A strong desire to change and better themselves. Anyone who does it for others will not stick to it. That’s why January through February you get all the Dragon Tamer Wizard League Shirt Apart from…,I will love this “new years” resolution ppl cluttering the gym and they weed themselves out. You gotta learn to enjoy it.Get some headphones or earbuds and play music or podcasts.Enjoy the sights.Alot of gyms have hot tubs, sauna, steamroom.Sometimes I just go for the hot tub and sauna and end up working out. There are many options to keep it interesting.Treadmills, stationary bikes, steppers, row machine….Find something you can enjoy there In that case you need to find an activity that is enjoyable to YOU. That way you will look forward for the exercise and will naturally push yourself. Lifting weights is not for everyone… Personally, I’ve always enjoyed exercise, but working in the medical field has greatly increased my drive to exercise and eat properly. Anyone can get sick or develop a chronic illness, but after almost 20 years in healthcare, I can say the vast majority of my patients have been people who didn’t prioritize exercise and a healthy diet. Most don’t even lead “unhealthy” lifestyles. They just at no point put in the effort to exercise and eat right.

You need to find what you enjoy. I’ve been “body building” for 14 years consistently. Ask me to run a 5k or a marathon, I’ll quit a week into it. I’m not sure if it’s motivation or discipline for me. I think it’s closer to fear that pushes me to workout. I used to be chubby when I was a kid, and everyone found it cute. I hated it. I didn’t get bullied or anything like that, but I just felt disgusting. I workout most days of the Dragon Tamer Wizard League Shirt Apart from…,I will love this week because I don’t want to get fat again. Simple as that haha. I go for a 3 mile double time walk each morning in the neighborhood, it’s very hilly & I’m 69 but in good shape for my age. I also hit weights off & on most days. Working on getting my sugar under control. One of the neighbors I occasionally see sitting on his front porch several months back lost a foot & then the rest of the leg, due to diabetes. Seeing him with no leg each morning, that’s motivation enough for me ! I would probably not be here today typing this if it wasn’t for some form of exercise. It’s saved my life and continues to do so everyday. Great for the mental health.
