Same! I’m 37 and I still do it! I don’t have any children of my own but my twin sister and YOUNGER brother do and of course most of my friends but every. Time. I’m like… wait, was it planned?! Like it’s some big scandal. When I got pregnant at 21 almost 22 I thought to myself “OMG I can’t believe I’m gonna be a teen mom” and then I realized I was literally of drinking age My mom and mother in law had their firsts at 16 years old. I was pregnant at 21 and gave birth at 22 and my family gave me crap for how young I was for months. I thought, have any of you looked in the Dr Seuss that’s what I do I read and know things shirt and by the same token and mirror? I was the oldest that any of my parents, aunts/uncles, and grandparents when they had their firsts but they still thought I was a fetus lol I got pregnant two months after turning 21 I definitely feel like I was unqualified at the time (still do sometimes, I’m 29).

Depends where you are drinking age in Australia is 18 so you would in fact still be a teen in that case hahaha I regularly forget that I am almost 29 but still seem to think I’m 22 and are confused when people have kids and get married I’m 25 (and married! I’m a child spouse!!) and my younger sister has an entire toddler, everyone I went to high school with is getting engaged or pregnant, and in my head I am just a lil dude I literally refer to myself in my head as a “young mother”….. I’m pushing 40 I remember that and am like, “oh shit..” lol I got married at 25. I’m 41 now and think, JFC, we were practically infants when we got married! How does anyone get married even earlier? I was talking to my husband recently about our eventual plan to have a kid, and neither of us could fathom how to even begin figuring that out.
