It’s been battle after battle with them as our estate agency for a sale. The service they suggest during valuations is nothing like what you get. They over inflate valuations, have terrible marketing materials (their site can hardly filter requirements), and silly listing policies/ conditions on strategy that they don’t advise you of in advance. They sell the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt so you should to go to store and get this idea that you get multiple offices so 3x exposure, but in reality, it just means service is diluted and their team is 3x less educated about an area. Hate that we have wasted 4 months with this firm. Once that term is up we will definitely terminate and write a 1 star review – not sure how this company can say they are number 1 in London.
Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt: Show Your Love with Style
Any estate agents that are actually half decent out there? This system is such a scam.Dealt with them once as a tenant, by the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this end of my tenancy, both me and the landlord decided to get rid of them. Fought a never ending battle for my deposit and won against them. They are the very existence of the slimiest scum in this market, cant wait for some massive legal issue / leak which wipes them off the planet. Is there a truly local agent that’s been around for a decade or so? Not a chain or at most a very small one. A firm that has survived by word of mouth rather than advertising is likely to offer better service. Also look for boring middle aged agents in the office. If all I see are over-manicured 20 somethings, I am off.
Yep, my current place is run by a small lettings agency and my main PoC is so genuine and reliable. I thought I’d found the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this only good estate agent in London and you’re right, he’s middle aged (but not boring, he used to be a steward for an airline and travelled the world) It seems to be a pattern, Estate Agents appear not to bring much value to either landlords or tenants. It also looks that they are also creating the so-called “market” using their valuation. Lastly for those with questions and issues related to renting and tenancy you may check r/TenantsInTheUK Good luck everyone landlords and tenants. Completely agree. They were the agent for us as tenants. Turned so sour that we left and the owner told them to fuck right off. Just absolute evil incompetent scummy fuckers!! Have a small-business estate agent who manages c. 50 properties do full service management of my rental. He’s been faultless and much cheaper than Foxtons. Would urge everyone to look beyond the brand and give those smaller agents your business.
How to buy this Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt
While moving out of a property, we allowed the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this landlord to arrange viewings during the remainder of our tenancy (we wanted to cut the “break clause” shorter and the earlier the new people moved in, the less we had to pay on the remining rent) The viewings were coming fro Foxtons and JLL. We told them both to always notify us at least a day in advance, and to avoid certain hours. No problems with JLL, but Foxtons have practially treaspassed on multiple occasions. We’d come home to open cupboards, lights switched on, etc. no notice given whatsoever, they just let themselves in as they pleased. Once we were packing up to go for a weekend to Paris, and as we were packing, the doors suddenly unlocked and hit the chain, after which a lady from Foxtons started knocking and asking to be let in for a viewing because she had people waiting. We gave them 5 minutes and the viewers were clearly unaware that she didn’t give us any prior notice about the viewing… 2. When viewing new properties. We saw a few promising apartments in Woolwich, all managed by Foxtons. We reached out and organised a viewing with one of the agents
Well, on the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this day, he swiftly convinced us that the three properties won’t be a good fit (one was “taken”, one he didn’t think would be good because we wanted some furniture removed, and one was unavailable on the weekend, despite us scheduling the viewing) Instead, he showed us some old warehouse conversion with single glazed windows, which smelled like a dead person. Then, while trying to be polite and just chat, we suddenly found ourselves back in the Woolwich office, and the agent just needed some extra info on paper, which we noticed was an offer form. His reasoning was that “even if the offer is accepted, you can still say no”. Okay, why the heck not. Big red flag my partner pointed out? As I was filling up the paper, the agent meets eyes with a colleague behind me, and makes a shit-eating grin from ear to ear. Didn’t think much of it at the time.
Withing an hour of us leaving the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this office, we get a call saying the landlord was called and agreed to the terms. We need to “make a decision now and pay the deposit within 3 hours, or it the offer won’t go through”. Also, the usual speel about “many offers, high demand” which all agents give everyone. We said no, since we didn’t even want to put an offer in the first place. Then, we found the property online and it turns out it was reduced 2 months prior to that. So it was clear that Foxtons was just trying to gatekeep us from seeing the places we wanted, and instead tried to give us some crappy apartment that nobody wanted. We haven’t heard from the agent since, not even with new offers which agencies usually tend to forward. Bullet dodged! “We got you 5 offers this week!”… all probably poor souls like yourselves tricked into filling in an offer form
There was a documentary about foxtons in London a whole back that showed them repeatedly doing that, it was a big scandal and apparently ‘they changed their ways’ lol. From what I’ve heard they have a track record of what you describe; over inflate value to win your business, then pressure you into a quick sale and move onto the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this next one. It’s about as slimy as it gets in a field that’s already drenched in slime. I’ve mentioned this on Reddit before but when a huge glass fronted branch of Foxtons opened in East Dulwich back when I was living there it was almost immediately nicknamed “the c**t aquarium”. Joking aside a Poundland is SIGNIFICANTLY more useful than a bloody Foxtons. I wish it had been there when I lived there as I was on a very low income back then. In fact I shopped a lot in the Iceland which I think was shut around the time I moved out.
I note that on street view the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this Poundland has still got hoarding on the front of the shop with information about why the local population shouldn’t be concerned about them moving in. One of the points is they may “help a little more than the estate agent before us”. Oh gosh the forum, haven’t thought about that in years! And I can only imagine. To be fair I did used to use it a bit, mainly for picking up some absolute bargains in the for sale section at the time. I now live in Penge where ironically I think the biggest shop on the main part of the high street is a Poundland. Yeah I mainly snooped on it tbh as it was entertaining and there wasn’t anything for Nunhead/Peckham where I was. I ended up in Forest Hill… it could do with some decent shops, need a PFC or something!
PFC is good but the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this place to go now is called “Mega Saver” (where our Lidl used to be) which has all sorts of weird and wonderful delights. It feels like when you go into a supermarket abroad, it’s great! I’m amazed they are still going strong. Such is the depths of awful service, over valuations, incompetence of staff etc. that everyone seems to think about them. The brand is pure toxic. OP for example is selling a house and Foxtons charges the highest commission fees of any estate agency I know (I work in social housing so deal with estate agents a lot). In the region of 3-5%, whereas most agents will be <1.5%. Now that may not sound like a lot, but when you’re selling a house in London, that’s thousands of pounds extra for no reason. Then on top of that you have shit customer services. Makes zero sense to me how Foxtons is still in business. Exactly! The fees are high but we though ok – good service, good access, detail focused, and confident they can get us a good price. They have delivered on none of those – actually wanted us to go below purchase price after signing so they could get it off market quick, to which I said then in what world are your fees justified.
Funny. My last place was the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this same. 3-4% fees (versus 1% from competitor) and they valued it below the competitor (who got a top of market sale price). Would have cost me over 50k in extra fees, plus – if they’d sold it at their proposed price – 150k in sale proceeds (albeit they may have achieved the same price given the market at the time). 99.9% of real estate agents are “the most obnoxious group of money hungry, low IQ, high energy, jack rabbit, fucking wannabe big-time, small-time, shit-talkin’, bothersome irritating bunch of mother fuckers I have ever had to endure for more than five minutes.” I went through 6 months of viewings, dropped the price twice and then sold it myself for the original price to someone at work, and Dexters claimed the fact she’d registered for emails from them a year before meant they were owed their fee.
I’m having major issues with trying to sell my flat through Dexters. After one week on the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this market they told me to lower the price by 60k! I know it’s very over priced at the moment but 60k is crazy! I just hope to either sell quickly or get out of their ridiculously long 20 week contract 😠 Same happened to me, tried to bully me into a £50k reduction less than 1 week after it was listed. I gave them notice immediately as I was so pissed off with them. Dexters are the new foxtons! I’ve found that KFH is even worse with overvaluing properties to get you to sell with them. but tbh they’re 95% as bad as each other Oh god, flashbacks. I had KFH as a letting agent back in my student days (15 years ago now, fuck I’m old) and they were awful. Not only do people have countless bad experiences with them, but I know several people who work for them now, and it seems that being a dickhead with loose morals is a pre-requisite for a job there. As a buyer we viewed a flat through them. The slimiest of slimy estate agents. Outright lying about the area in the hope we did not know any better (grew up there so could see through their bullshit). Then in the following weeks and months harassing us with constant calls about “the perfect flat” they had just found. We told them we had offered on a place and to stop calling us. I have no idea how, but they had somehow found what property we’d offered on with another agent. They called us to tell us that property was a basket case and do not touch it and that we should pull out, I’m guessing in the hope we’d buy from them. They are the slimiest scum bags around The entire senior management at Knight Frank are ex Foxtons. Behind the posh facade, they are basically the same
Completely agree with this – although always worth checking if they are owned by one of the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this big chains. In my local area only two of the ‘independent’ agents aren’t owned by the abhorrent Dexters They overvalued the flat me and my ex girlfriend were selling. We were naive and probably a bit greedy tbh so went with it. This was 2007/8 in London and it didn’t sell at 395k (bought it for 237k) and within a few months the price collapse happened. In the end sold for 312k when we could have probably got 345/50k ish if the valuation had been more realistic. After paying back debts from borrowing to buy in first place I had just enough to buy 165k one bed… with 10% deposit. Vendor took it off market at the very last minute and I lost several K in solicitor fees meaning I didn’t have enough to buy anymore. Went back to renting for 8 years. Had we got an extra 10/20k each from the sale I’d have had leeway to continue looking/buying and bought years earlier. That 165k flat I didn’t buy is probably worth at least 400k as it was in Peckham.
So yeah there’s plenty that was my fault and a pile of first world problems but if Foxtons hadn’t overvalued in the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this first place and I trusted them then I’d be in a half million flat and a few years from paying off mortgage. Hey ho. Cheers. Im pretty ok with it, a bit sliding doors moment though. It was a combo of various things inc bad timing and global financial crisis etc but if Foxtons hadn’t been pricks none of it would have happened. Epilogue… the branch that did it was East Dulwich and it recently closed down and became Poundland. Be good if there was a professional body for them to answer to, like solicitors have. Gross misconduct like overvaluing would be a strike off offence. Yeah that would be great! Looking back I think I believed their valuation also because I’d spent months doing up the house, soundproofed the floor, done the front garden etc etc so it was plausible.
I moved in London 20 years ago and they were considered the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this “w*nkers in minis “ back then. Good to see they’ve not sorted their image… Honestly we had to choose between 4 different estate agents to sell our flat. Foxton really tried to inflate the sale price. We picked knight frank and they have been great and the offer we received was decent. Great reach with people outside london also and so far i have no complaints. And they were nearly 1% fee cheaper than foxtons Sellers use Foxtons because they claim they’ll get the highest price, mostly by pressuring non-locals who don’t know better. Ditto people wanting to rent out their place. Buyers and renters avoid if possible, because they’re more expensive. But the high prices lead to a superficial impression of classiness so the naive think they’ll get a better quality flat.
On the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this day I moved in, they copied all my flatmates (4 strangers) into the email containing my personal documents (salary, bank statements, references…) Throughout our stay, they would do flat visits to sell the place, almost never locking the door after they left, once leaving the door wide open. They never cared when we’d mention it. Those wankers invented fake offers on our house and then they were mysteriously cancelled, in a bid to get us to reduce the price they advised. They just threw viewings at us in a numbers game, most of them weren’t looking for a place like ours or in wrong price bracket. I used them once as a landlord. Highest fees on the market for a poor service, and some argumentative disagreeable staff. (Although the tenant they found I had no complaints about).
With most rental listings pretty much having a queue for viewings, I wouldn’t attribute finding a good tenant down to Foxtons. There was a new build house I was interested in and listed by Foxtons. Booked a viewing and on the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this day a different person turned up with no idea about any of the questions I asked. Saw some issues and didn’t think much of it and proceeded. Solicitor raised big red flags and the Foxtons agent just kept basically gaslighting me saying it’s my solicitor that’s useless not them or the seller. The purchase fell through and I’m glad it did because a few months later I looked up the property was being auctioned off as seen, with a planning enforcement notice against the property, valued by Savills at 30% below the price Foxtons was marketing at. The problem in my locale is that all their staff are very young, clueless, unmotivated (probably low paid) and borderline rude. They would put off any buyer. Whatever you think of estate agents in general, at least most other firms try to do their job, which is to sell the property. Ime the smaller more local firms (say 1-10 offices) are better to deal with and more effective.
I was warned off renting through them when I came to London 17 years ago, unavoidably had one experience with them which was more than enough. These people genuinely seem to ignore just how stressful and life changing moving house can be. I bought a flat through them last year. During conveyancing it turned out the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this flat wasn’t residential, it was live/work, and the planning required 50% of the space to be dedicated for work. Until this point that was never mentioned before. “I’ve sold loads of these and it hasn’t been an issue”, they said. I called the council and they confirmed it definitely is an issue. The owner did a change of use for me eventually but only after I abandoned the offer. The rep tried everything he could to avoid the extra time that ended up taking. They’re so shite because too many landlords are motivated by greed and put up with their shit and borderline illegal practices, in order to squeeze as much money out of property as they can, to everyone else’s detriment.
Foxtons are the Donald Trump Great American 45 And 47 Comeback Shirt Additionally,I will love this symptom, the cause is landlords and sellers doing what’s best for them at the expense of everyone else, in a completely unregulated market. I have no truck with “all estate agents are bad” but Foxtons really push that principle to the limit for me. Looking at a house they had listed recently for sale and it was such an incredibly woeful… really, genuinely bad experience I was moved to leave a one star review: Their listing details were incredibly unhelpful/brief – I persisted as the house looked really interesting and with a big garden. They didn’t pick up the phone despite multiple attempts and when they eventually did, they put my partner on hold for 12 minutes. Turns out their listing details were insanely misleading on multiple fronts – overly optimistic / inaccurate photos, not clear on sale format (which is a pretty big one). Specifically – they were using old photos before the garden had been sold off to build another massive house; the house was for auction but nowhere on the details did it say so other than a tiny small print saying “Foxtons auctions” and it specifically directed you to a normal sales office. I wish I could have given zero stars and I can’t imagine who as a seller would want to list with them. Truly appalling. Bruh… add Dexters in the same ring with them. Battle for the worst estate agents in town… literally got stiffed by them after they applied extreme amounts of pressure for us to accept a 27 month contract with no break clause. The kicker? The guy asked for my card details for the holding deposit over the phone, making me insist I ask my co-tenants first… god damn, what slimy people. They came crawling back giving break clauses all over the place once we pulled out. I only had the pleasure of making sure they didn’t win the multi-agency let on the flat
