You may have a long rise. Might be worth comparing/measuring. A lot of websites don’t list it of course, but sometimes customer support can find it for you I have three pairs – white ones (photo is pre-final tailoring lol but looks basically like this) and rope ones are handmade, and denim ones are jeans I cut short. I like having the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this jean ones as they feel a bit sturdier which I want some days, but the lighter shorts are definitely breezier and better for hot days. These days I am a fan of big loose dresses and skirts for summer so I wear my shorts less than I would have 5-10 years ago. Almost certain they are all men’s, know there is a pair of long olive green cargoes which I love. Yes I’m a 5′ Little Old Lady! The easy short from Everlane is my favorite! If I’m not wearing those, I’m wearing my Levi’s 501 mid thigh shorts
Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt: best trending this year
Black shorts are my go to in the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this summer! I love the Nani Hybrid shorts for my wide hips. I’ve got 3 pairs. Size up! I wear a 14, usually a L-XL and I take an XXL in those shorts. They’re lightweight and long enough so I don’t chafe. I have some mom shorts from American Eagle that I wore recently on a trip (bought in summer 2017) and I realized that while they cover my lower belly fat, they do absolutely nothing for my figure and kind of resemble a diaper. I was kind of disgusted to realize how bad I was looking because of these shorts. I hate the coochie cutters I used to have in white from H&M, kind of regardless of how thin I’ve been. Ideally, I’d like something like this:
My thighs rub together so I will continue to wear align shorts or dresses with align shorts underneath. I think a major trend this summer will be bike shorts, tank tops and flowy button ups in linen or light flowy cotton. Top it off with a NY baseball cap or hair in a claw clip and you’ve got a really cute outfit. I either wear Birkenstock Gizah’s or Vans/ Nike AirMax with this and its comfy and stylish. I will also be wearing my cropped scuba and oversized t-shirts with the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this shorts too. High waisted A-line shorts…,.specifically from Everlane. It COVERS but also still hip and trendy! I don’t have to worry about flashing anything since it’s not too short Either linen shorts, water wicking shorts made by outdoor companies, or linen shift dresses. It gets stupid hot here. None, sorry. I have a pair of shorts made from technical fabric I wear over my swimsuit, but that’s basically for vacation only, which means I’m might swim twice the entire summer.
About Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt
Not normally a shorts girly but I’m going to Europe in May/June so I just bought a couple pairs from the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this RealReal! I picked up the Rowan shorts by Ulla Johnson and the Keita shorts by Veronica Beard. Both are high rise with a relaxed leg (a-line silhouette). The Rowan shorts are very casual and have a lovely yellow floral print. The Keita shorts are navy with gold button detailing, leaning less casual. I highly recommend when shopping on TRR trying to find the item on an actual model. Googling descriptive words along with the designer usually gets the job done. This coming summer is rumored to be the hottest ever, and with that comes even more smothering humidity, so I’ll probably stick with my usual Uniqlo lightweight nylon cargo shorts. They sound horrible, but are actually designed to look nice on a female figure! They go just barely past mid-thigh, fit nicely at the waist, and the legs are just roomy enough to be comfortable but not pull, ride, bunch up, get sweaty or chafe while walking long distances through the city on miserably hot days.
For days that are less awful, I have some Uniqlo skirt-like cotton shorts that look cute with small t-shirts. They only become a problem if you’re going to start sweating the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this second you leave the house, but are otherwise cute and breezy with light colors and cute patterns! They’re ages and ages old, so maybe not the height of fashion right now, but they work for me, so I’ll keep ’em if it means surviving the summer (reasonably) comfortably. I recently found some denim shorts at madewell that are “curvy” cut. They’re really comfortable and have lots of room for big thighs, and also not too short! I’m excited to wear them I’m pretty impartial to skorts and bike shorts. Bike shorts are for when it gets so hot and sticky where I live. I can do upscale sporty with it too when I wear the right jewelry and shoes. And Levi shorts. Their roll cuff shorts are a great length and don’t ride up and they cover the parts of my legs that chafe My standard is just ye olde denim short shorts. Mid rise because I’m short waisted, tight on the butt because my husband loves it lol. I get the 3-4″ inseam ones because I’m not blessed with enough thigh for chub rub in shorts (only in skirts/dresses). As an All-Leg American it’s a look that works for me.
I did get two pairs of A-line linen shorts on sale this winter, both higher waist but elastic, and I’m looking forward to giving those a spin. I used to love wearing shorts when my legs had more distance between them. But now my thighs rub uncomfortably in any shorts, plus any kind of thick material that is flattering is too uncomfortable on my stomach. No more shorts for me! I have, over the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this last couple years, fallen in love with linen blend shorts. They look nice, they’re breezy, and they are comfortable! I go for high waisted and size up. I hate the way shorts are made. It basically feels like most companies took pants and just cut off the legs. Shorts need to have more flare at the bottom than pants or else they’re too tight and most shorts are made to be too tight. When I size up I just wear a belt and it fits my thighs without constricting and it’s less noticeable when you sit and your thighs look bigger.
It’s interesting how many people here hate or don’t wear shorts! I love shorts, and mostly wear good old denim short-shorts for a classic look. Somehow even though I really struggle with jeans for my body type, I don’t have the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this same problem with denim shorts, and even cheap ones work fine! I usually get mine at H&M. Someone please say bike shorts. They are my, thick thigh-chafing saving graces. If those go out of style, I will be exclusively wearing skirts and dresses… with bike shorts underneath I am mid 50’s and love the Spanx 4″ or 6″ shorts. They hold everything in but are super comfortable and flattering on. Some have pockets (like the stretch twill) and others are more tailored. The MSRP isaround $70 but They have flash sales and other markdowns throughout the year. I have bought a couple of pairs on ebay/poshmark type sites as well. My daughter is 30 and she owns several pairs, too. I live in Hammies shorts every summer since buying my first pair in 2020. They’re incredibly high waisted and flattering, very forgiving stretch while being a thick, high quality corduroy that wears well. Very strong and durable construction. I’ve now replaced my standard denim shorts with a navy pair. They look so much classier with the retro design, no fussing with belt loops, and the pockets fit my entire iPhone completely. They’re literally my holy grail magical shorts.
The pairs I’ve had since 2020 have held up EXTREMELY well to hiking, skating falls, while remaining highly colorfast and not fading through multiple washes. No shrinking or sagging. i like loose fitting pull on shorts. i got two floral printed linen-blend ones from abercrombie at like 70% off Apparently Bermudas are supposed to be coming back this year, which delights me because that’s what I wear. They’re more formal than short shorts and they match well with anything, so I can wear them downtown and not feel stupid. I don’t wear them knee length — just a couple of inches above the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this knee. No chub rub, they work with t-shirts and blazers/jackets, and I’m not horrifying anyone with my old woman thighs.
God, as long as they don’t think slavery in America was a bad thing, dumber is better. And, really really don’t teach them math or geography and please please no science. And absolutely NO critical thinking skills. Some history is ok as long as it’s totally whitewashed. That’s what you get from entitled tiktok morons who blame each and every of their shortcomings on older generations. Good god the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this amount of people complaining about teaching on this subreddit is ridiculous. This is my 7th year teaching and 4th at my current school. I teach at a major city public school, have doubled growth 2/3 years, had 99% of students meet expected growth the other year, and had 20% of students meet or exceed expectations on the state test. Stop complaining and figure out how to be better. Build relationships with your kids. Take criticism and improve. Give up the ego and practice some humility.
It is much more efficient to type using the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this home row and all of your fingers. It allows you to type faster, for longer periods, and without looking at the keys. But regardless, OP outlined a lot of serious problems with their students’ skills, and this was just one of them. I agree with OP that people should learn to type properly, but a lot of these points are more alarming and concerning than their inability to type. I’m just picturing the admin assistants of the future hunched over keyboards and tapping away with only their index fingers like a corporate velociraptor. I teach in Asia so most still have decent typing skills (lots of computer use and familiarity at home) but the few who don’t average around 60-70. Using all fingers correctly most students average around 90-110 WPM. I average around 120 while touch typing and I have 2 students in Grade 10 who average 130-140.
It’s a lot more strain on the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this wrists, and will lead to pain quicker when you’re older. Ergonomics is an investment in your own personal future. I’m the same. Both my mum and I do the same “2-finger type” (mostly just the index fingers, but I do use my pinky fingers sometimes). I think this is an american problem, and I seriously hope you guys can figure it out. I’m in 11th grade in canada and no one my age has any of my problems-with the exception of a few with learning disabilities. Good luck y’all This is a parenting problem, no more and no less. I’d get my ass beat if I couldn’t solve 2x = 8 at the age of fucken twelve. Lmfao Does the public actually care though. Because in my experience this would just lead to more teacher bashing and people not really caring. It’s shameful to say but students need to hit rock bottom like embarrassing nationwide levels. Levels that suddenly governments are concerned about their image. That it gets better. Thirty years ago for me. I went to a rather expensive private school that prided itself on being better than the public schools and I was legitimately the only person in my class that could read well. Pretty much everyone else struggled to read outloud or would have to use their finger so they didn’t lose their place. When I was a senior I was the only person in my class that knew what a syllable was or how to count them. I’m actually pretty awful at math as an adult and I still graduated with the second highest math scores.
I don’t think they’re exaggerating, I think it’s the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this same thing as when old people say “kids these days don’t know how good they have it” when that’s been said every 10-20 years since the dawn of civilization lol. Where I am the kids had, at most, 10 weeks of at home learning and they are still significantly behind. These issues predated covid in my opinion. Which is even more depressing. No worries. The Seattle City Schools curriculum taught me that knowing objective math facts is racist, so it’s better that I don’t. You’re just stuck in the past Can thank social promotions for what we’re seeing today. Just make sure everyone feels good about themselves all the time… But I want the general public to understand that when the gap list is this big, it is nearly impossible to teach my curriculum efficiently I hope it’s okay to ask this here. I am not a teacher or anything, I just have a question about country data and all these anecdotes that show up on my page. Seeing this again I figure maybe you guys would know your end of this best and be the right ones to ask. How do I reconcile this with things like SAT and NAEP data? Some context about my thinking: There has been a drop, but since 2014 that drop has only been 9 points on NAEP. Are these anecdotes just some of the worst schools in the entire country, or is there some huge flaw in national / state data I don’t know about?
Did he ever think that maybe his kids wouldn’t be so dumb if he wasn’t constantly filming on TikTok. How he’s allowed to is beyond me. lol why is this getting so downvoted? I would be fucking pissed if someone filmed my child in school and posted it to TikTok. Also making stupid fucking social media content WHILE you’re doing your job is obviously not a good thing to do. And also obviously, seeing your teacher posting about you being dumb and knowing you’re who the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this teacher’s talking about would be terrible. If your child is that behind, you failed them as a parent. He’s bringing attention to that. Maybe go over it a few times in your head without the indignance and see if there might be a point to what he’s doing outside of your feelings of offense. Like he’s just another bully who uses TikTok to bully students and since he has a huge following, he’s probably monitzing off of them too and gaining a profit.
Yes kids are behind but it’s also your literal fucking job to teach them how to read instead of scolding them for not being able to. Plus we don’t know if these kids have special needs or learning disabilities so he could also be picking on kids with special needs. Science teacher IS NOT to teach your kid how to read. Period. If anything, it’s a parent’s job at around five years old. It absolutely is, and you’re getting downvoted by the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this kind of people who either have no skin in the game or are bad parents themselves. Look, I was never any good at math when I was in school. There are too many bad experiences with my dad shouting at me as a kid after getting questions wrong during our gruelling three hours a day, 5 days a week, “math study sessions,” that scarred me for life to remember. I still don’t really understand algebra, except the basics. As an adult, I STILL get performance anxiety when doing any multiplication, and doing mental math is an admitted personal weakness of mine… I can do it, but I must take my time. I work at a post office, and I can still count money accurately and effectively without a calculator, lol. If something costs £10.34 and a customer hands you £20.34, that means you give back £10.00 exactly. We had a 17/18yo come to work for us who couldn’t count money. At. All. We’re a busy little post office, and we get big cash deposits from our customers coming through when they want to bank it. Trusting this kid with lots of money was soooo friggin’ stressful, and you couldn’t ever leave him to do it alone. You had to watch him like a hawk.
We’re a post office as well as a shop. We get the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this school kids coming in to buy sweets and energy drinks after school. They’re all nice enough, but they can’t count money for shit either. Something will cost, say, 15p (UK), and 9/10 they will hand me 3 £2 coins, even £5 or £10 notes asking, “Is that enough?” This is a regular occurrence. Most of the kids just throw their change at me and let me count it for them. It’s never, ever, the right amount. Ever. >Proceeds to replace all the clocks in the school with digital clocks instead of taking a day and teaching everyone how to read a fucking clock. >Proceeds to complain on Reddit instead of just saying fuck it to his “curriculum” for a week and teaching these basic concepts to his students. I don’t care if you’re a fucking English or history teacher. Teach your fucking students this shit. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable! What the fuck are schools or teachers good for if they can’t solve this simple problem? Teachers would rather quit than take a break from their “curriculum” for a week and teach this basic shit to their students. This was going on long before the pandemic. American public education has been in decline since the 1980s. It’s highly politicized and biased leftward. When I was in school, we had Math, History, Geography, Science, English, Reading and Writing and Art. In junior high you had to take Latin to prepare you for foreign languages in high school. In high school you had to take Math/Algebra/ Geometry/Calculus and Trigonometry, then History, Science, English, Composition, Biology and Chemistry. Electives were Art or Music. School started at 7:30am and ended at 3:00pm. It’s nothing like that now. Today’s generation bitch about boomers but we’ve had it so good because we were better educated which made us more competitive in the job market. We didn’t have social justice, CRT, safe spaces, or pronouns, or hate America or any of that cool stuff.
s Do you know what any of these things are? You know safe spaces haven’t been a talking point since 2009 right? MLK gave his famous speech in 1963. You are gd right you didn’t have social justice. Your generation were spraying people with water hoses. Of course parents factor into this, but if students, on the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this whole, don’t know basic math and grammar, that’s a teacher issue. There are so many factors beside the teacher that influence a child’s education. There are many corrosive influences on children today that have nothing to do with their teachers but deeply and negatively affect their ability to learn. I don’t necessarily disagree, to an extent. But I keep seeing these types of threads pop into All from r/teachers. If it is truly that pervasive then there is a problem with the teachers themselves. I don’t know, man, are you in schools? Are you seeing this firsthand? I work with some amazing, committed, career teachers, and many are ready to walk. It is extremely hard to teach students whose parents let them stay up on TikTok until 4 AM. I have kids whose diet is majority Doritos. I have many kids who cannot reliably put a piece of paper in a folder at the end of class. I may not be the best teacher out there but I know none of that has anything to do with me. I’m not a teacher, but aren’t the skills people will actually need changing? Should education adjust? I’m 38 and have a masters degree and know how to subtract 13 from 27 on a piece of paper, but I literally never would. I could also do it in my head, but chances are I’ll just reach for my phone’s calculator. I know how to use proper grammar, but this mostly ages me because social norms have changed. If I text or email someone under 30 and capitalize my sentences I just come off as ancient. I believe education is important and value it, but it may need to change for a changing world. Most things you mentioned here can be done with google or AI, and it seems unlikely any current students will ever live in a world without these tools.
Because it demonstrates a lack of proficiency that they will need as they progress. We’ve really lowered the Donald Trump 2025 New Year New America Shirt What’s more,I will buy this bar from “I’ll never need the Pythagorean theorem”, haven’t we? this is what happens when we let our “smartphones” do the thinking for us. but then again ai is just gonna right everything init? but whos gonna teach it, shit, now im sad… Behind what? I mean all of this sounds bad, but hasn’t it always been this way? The difference now is the really behind kids stay in school. Why would anyone be suprised? Liberal covid policies plus their lower standardized testing requirements wasn’t good thing. I work in a high school, the kids are mostly ok but they can’t do simple things like follow directions or use a manual can opener. Schools should focus more on basic life skills. I’m sorry I’m not a teacher so obviously my perspective is different but I remember being in high school and not knowing a lot of this stuff Honestly, maybe I’m fucking crazy but a lot of the shit you listed just doesn’t matter. It doesn’t. Let’s not mix up an ideal with a necessity. They don’t need to know a trapezoid from a rhombus. It doesn’t matter. And even if they don’t know the arbitrarily assigned names they still probably understand the function of the shapes. The names are all on google if they need it. (Kid think) I think taking notes is a standout among your complaints. Making observations and remarking on them should be enforced agreed. But that’s wit and wisdom now in schools.
