The store manager even tried to convince me to step into just below an assistant manger position – all the Dogs Stuck Between IDK IDC and IDGAF T-Shirt and I love this assistant manger responsibilities but less pay – and take my schooling down to part time to work full time for them. I started seriously looking for a new job after that. It became too much to deal with them constantly piling responsibilities on me while the “management” left and I’m still only making a few dollars above minimum wage, working full time while going to school full time, and NOT TECHNICALLY in a management position. It had its perks but not enough to say I was benefiting. I left within a year of that happening to a job in a preferred field. This is percent correct. Most employers see their employees as an expense needed for their goal of maximum profit

Unless you are in a country where you are legally obligated to work you notice I suggest that you gather your personal belongings and leave. Take the Dogs Stuck Between IDK IDC and IDGAF T-Shirt and I love this next two weeks to decompress and get your mind focused on starting your new job. Asking for a raise is a normal business conversation. The response maybe “no” or “we can’t right now”, but throwing a tantrum is totally unacceptable. Given that your leaving is now a given your boss would better serve himself with a reasonable transition rather than harassing you 25 times per day. Why two weeks? Just leave! Fuck ” being punished” just don’t go back. Enjoy a vacation or ask to have them move up your starting date. Ffs the amount of people that accept abuse is mindblowing. You are not property, you are a God damn human being and have some dignity!
