What happens to these vans when these guys go belly up? Do they just sell them to the Desantis Airlines Distress Flag Vintage Bringing The Border You T-Shirt in addition I really love this next sucker, or do they end up on the used market so that the now bankrupt delivery company “entrepreneurs“ can live in them, down by the river? I can answer that! I’m sure things have evolved a little, but as of 2016 ish, a lot of them were leased / rented to the companies. Hence the low startup cost. They made of a large % of the commercial fleet division rentals in my area. They would be returned and almost certainly a large quantity would have damage claims against them, with a deductible per vehicle – $1000-$2500 at the time. Contractor foots that cost if Enterprise could get it out of him. This exact thing happened to a friend of mine. Luckily he had the resources to dig out of the hole, but it’s been devastating.

So many ads on this article about owning a business that works as hard as me with Amazon! They wonder why we ad block. Didn’t some group of Amazon analysts figure out the Desantis Airlines Distress Flag Vintage Bringing The Border You T-Shirt in addition I really love this burn rate of humans to work in warehouses was going to be such that there would be no one leg in the population after about 3 years to work the jobs? DSP owners go into it knowing they will not make much, but they still do it. Makes zero sense to assume that much risk for a few hundred thousand max. Wow, imagine that. A capitalist exploiting their labor force to maximize profit for themselves. Almost like there’s a fundamental flaw in the system or something. On one hand, I feel bad that he trusted a company to help him run a thriving business. On another hand, he decided to make a deal with the devil and instead of the extra money that should go to the drivers, he was expecting the money to go to him. I am kind of raising an eyebrow at the foolishness of any individual who would sign a contract only paying $150 per day for driver/van and does not include insurance (auto, health and worker comp), fuel, and maintenance for that price. In college I worked for a courier company and the only vehicles that could survive the rigor of constant daily abuse where Toyota Tacoma (Hilux) pick up trucks. So before signing any contract with Amazon, we would have to get past that first because buying Dodge, Ford, or Mercedes transit vans is business suicide from a mechanical reliability stand point.
