If lunch is free you can’t get tax benifits on meal coupons so a notional charge for lunch is better, also stops people from wasting food. My company does provide but at a highly subsidised price. Currently on a trip through France with people that MUST USE A NEW OUTFIT EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
